Vision Community Management

Vision Community Management has made our first home buying experience in Arizona a living hell. We first rented the property with an option to buy from the owner. The house was empty for several months. This resulted in dry un-​kept landscape and weeds peeping through the rocks. Within the first 2 weeks… not 2 months but 2 weeks. We received two violations, one was for leaving the trash cans out of the garage and empty boxes. Since we were renting the property, we weren’t aware of the rules. We have a long drive way that would make it hard for you to see if anything was left out in front of the garage door. So you would literally have to walk in the yard and down the drive way to get a visual of the boxes and trash can. By the way, we were still moving in the house.
The rental management company notified us about the violations. After being notified, we quickly moved the boxes and trash cans. A week later we received another violation stating the landscaping needed replaced and weeds growing in the yard. We were not in the house but 3 weeks and received 4 violations. I asked the rental management company were we being targeted because we were renting and why didn’t these violation go to the owner when the house was empty. The rental management sent in my compliant and we didn’t receive a violation since.
In order to keep the peace with VISION, the owner hired someone to reset the irrigation system and plant a few plants in the yard.
We love the neighbor so when opportunity presented itself, my husband and I jumped at the chance to buy the house. During the closing process, we received prior violations and possible violation about the house needed painting within in 2 years.
Shortly after closing, we decided to get the house painted. We wanted to used the same original colors of the house. I submitted the paint request. VISION Community didn’t have the number for the original paint colors. So I had to find the paint numbers that was close to the original colors.
I submitted the numbers with the applications. 1 month went by, another. So close to the end of the 2^nd month, I decided to call. I talked to Jason and he apologized for the delay in getting a letter and assure me it will be done. Within 2 days of our conversation, Jason emailed me the letter, said the paint request was approved and it’s OK to get the house painted on the day I told him the painters will start. He was OK with it and stated it on my voicemail.
On the day of the paint job the painter notified me of a mistake in the paint color. I immediately called VISION and talk to this Jamie person who I originally talked to and dropped the ball to get the paint request approved in the first place.
The mistake the painter noticed was the body of the paint was the light color and the trim was the dark. This is incorrect, I explained in person and on the phone, which color is the body and for the trim. Someone at VISION typed in the wrong info on the approval letter that Jason emailed and was forward to the paint company. I called VISION on the day of the paint job which Jason knew about and complained about the wrong information on the form. This Jamie person, tried to say it was my fault, which isn’t true because I submitted the application stating the original paint colors and the exact look. VISION does not want to take responsibility for their actions. So to cover their tracks, they sent another letter in the mail with approval dated 2 days after the paint job was completed. This is an evil and deceptive plot to cover their mistake. By the way, didn’t I say this Jamie person is the one who dropped the ball when I originally sent in the request 2 months prior?
A true honest company or institution will owned up to their mistake and face the consequences of their actions. ONLY evil and deceptive people will cover up their tracks. So to VISION be honest and owned up to your mistake. To anyone who is considering buying or renting a home in any of the properties VISION manages the HOA, move to a community that is managed by an HOA who cares about their people and not try to rip them off with violations and fines. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Whoever this Jocelyn chick is needs to be fired because she’s rude every single time my wife has communicated with her. We try to comply with every request that the HOA has had since we had the house built in 2000. We are constantly met with rude and condescending feedback from Jocelyn whenever we have questions. If life sucks so much that you are rude all the time then get a different job. She probably has to answer calls from pissed off customers all the time but then again we all choose the jobs we have so there’s no excuse.

I work for a residential property management company and we make several payments on our clients behalf to various HOA’s managed by Vision Community Management. After a week of piling up various issues I needed some help from their accounting department I gave them a call. I was not able to reach anyone but did leave a message for Samantha, Community Accountant (I unfortunately can’t remember her last name). About 3 hours later I received a phone call back from Samantha and she was beyond awesome! I had about 7 separate accounts to go over and she was more than willing to spend the time to discuss each one until I was able to wrap my head around the issues.

Worse HOA ever, all they care about is collecting. This used to be a nice condo area, now the units are rented to anyone. Small dogs are suppose to be allowed, the rule is not followed. Dog poop everywhere, the renters do not pick up after their dogs. The HoA does nothing to correct this problem. It is an eyesore now. I would recommend this firm for anything!

I live in a community managed by Vision. Communication is great and things do get done at our community because the HOA Board makes decisions in a timely manner. I think homeowners forget that the management company is limited by what the Board decides (and Board members are homeowners in that community).
For the longest time, we had a crappy-​looking common area with patches of dead grass and had issues with kids breaking the sprinkler caps. They had the caps fixed and eventually, when the HOA had enough reserves, the grass was improved as well. We had issues with many homeowners not paying the monthly dues and we couldn’t build up the reserves, but Vision helped us make a budget plan to start saving up so we could fix issues with the common areas.
Vision is great with working with the HOA Board so as long as there is an active community and a responsible Board, they’re great to work with.

My neighborhood is «managed» by Vision. The common areas are very poorly maintained, with dead trees and bushes that are not replaced, sprinklers that water the parking lot and sidewalks at our neighborhood park, a pile of gravel left by the landscapers for 6 months, tree wells that have broken (which lets the water escape, killing the tree and growing weeds where it eventually pools). I am fairly certain that no one receives violation notices any more because no HOA rules are being enforced.
Vision employees respond to e-​mails fairly quickly, but problems do not actually get fixed.

I found that on 5÷24÷2012 Vision’s accreditation from BBB was REVOKED with a D+ rating!

1D. Be free of an unsatisfactory rating and maintain at least a B rating at the accrediting BBB and the BBB where it is headquartered, if different.
This business is NOT BBB accredited.»
Our firsthand experience with Vision has proven that employees from this business will stop at nothing to go after homeowners even calling the police on vehicles parked LEGALLY on public streets outside of the authority given them by the our HOA. They will send violations to homeowners they don’t like and not to others for the same issues. They even sent a letter for a crooked slat in a window blind!!!
Would be ZERO stars if possible.

They are great at collected money from the HOA for «managing» the complex but that is about it. They refuse to answer e-​mails if they involve complicated issues or ones that need to be addressed by the HOA. My house flooded 3 times due to a malfunctioning outdoor drain that is under the control of the HOA. They refused to follow up with me so now I’m stuck paying for professionals to correct the drain, then hoping the HOA will reimburse me. For what this company charges, your neighborhood is better off finding their own landscaping company and designating an internal hall monitor to make sure people are parking where they are supposed to.

If I could give zero stars I would! Worst HOA ever. They do not maintain the grounds, do not maintain the roads. Actually, now that I think of it, I have no idea what the heck they do besides find «violators» because their trash cans aren’t in the exact right place. These people are the reasons why residents hate HOAs. Absolute worse people to deal with!

Little to no enforcement of h.o.a. regulations in Avalon Village. I have contacted this company several times with concerns only to be brushed off with statements like «we are working on it «or «it’s a process» or some other excuse as to why they can’t enforce the rules. Mind you have i have been to h.o.a. meetings and also voiced my concerns. People parking in their yards is commonplace and has spread like a cancer due to a total «lack of enforcement». Some of the rules they currently are not enforcing include: Homes with less then the minimum required plants in front yard allowing for vehicles to be parked in yards, people parking their vehicles in yards, weeds and garbage in many of the yards, a pool and a common area that are routinely trashed and people are not held accountable, and a representative from Vision that «supposedly» visits the community each week inspecting the area. I will say that they unecessarily trim trees on a regular basis. Very dissapointed with Vision.

They are the worst ever. They charge 114 per month and do nothing for it, other than pay their spoiled rich kids to go around like nazis looking for perceived ‘violations’. they do not maintain the plants, trees, or gravel in the front yards as they are supposed to. This is exactly the type of HOA that makes people NOT want to buy homes in HOA communities.

This is the owner of Vision Community Management. They have been an extremely difficult HOA and I will make sure I NEVER purchase a home in a community they manage. I believe this company has hurt the value of our property due to their unresponsiveness to homeowners. They have been a complete headache.

Stunningly unprofessional, unresponsive, and unable to lead. While having never missed a HOA payment, I have been attempting to discuss a false charge on my account for 8 years. I have written letters, emailed, and called, and they are grossly uncommunicative. The property manager told me there would be a board meeting tonight at 6pm at my pool. I rearranged my schedule, went, and waited for 15 minutes. No meeting. I called to inquire about having recycling in our community. The property manager said dismissively «the community isn’t interested at this time». If I could give zero starts I would.

My experience with Vision has been that they are responsive to email inquiries about happenings and challenges with the neighborhood, but that the issues reported end up not being resolved.
I live in a community that has an unusually high number of rental properties and homes where the owners simply have no pride despite the fact that home ownership is a blessing of modern civilization. In any case, I keep hoping that things will improve.
Unfortunately this is a community management company that has chosen to turn a blind-​eye to a board of directors where one of the directors is the spouse of the printing company that prints the community newsletter. Ethical challenges like conflict of interest do not appear to be ethical challenges for some.
If the neighborhood continues to deteriorate, I suspect that there may come a time when homeowners will have a legal right to challenge the collection of the dues and where they are really going. At this point, the win/​win does not include the residents of the community.

Vision has been our community’s management company for several years now. At first glance, our community seems ok. The parks look nice and the streets are relatively clean. The communal areas are kept up nicely. However, if you really take the time to look around, our community has gone significantly downhill since their taking the helm. We have been through at least 4 community managers and each one has been more blind than the next to the blatant violations that occur throughout our community. For example, there has been a huge picture of Jesus in the bushes of one of the communal areas near the main road for 2 weeks now. It caught my eye one day when the sun glimmered off of the glass. How after all this time the community manager hasn’t noticed it is beyond me… but it definitely solidifies my feeling that they really aren’t looking… if they are even here at all! I suppose that it must be a perk however, to be on the HOA board of directors because those guys are the worst violators of them all.
With respect to contacting Vision about concerns, you get a snide, exasperated response from Hannah. I kind of feel sorry for her because she has to be the one to hear all the crap from all the residents and unfortunately because her company sucks so bad – she never get the chance to hear very much in the way of positivity. I called her recently to try to communicate with her about the road work that the city was planning and she wasn’t quite sure how to handle a conversation with someone who was seeking a win/​win. Maybe she’s nice in her non-​work life though I’ll never know and hopefully Vision will someday be the company she wants it to be because honestly, she doesn’t deserve all the abuse she gets simply because Vision sucks.
I hope someday our HOA board will get its nose out of Vision’s ass and price out a new management company. Our old company was actually very good but there was a lot of stupid drama that caused the change in the first place. It would be nice if people who joined boards actually represented the needs of the people and not had personal agendas but it is what it is.
