History

Established in 1972.

Pizza Cottage was founded in 1972 by Jack and Yvonne Gorham. They started out in Carroll, Ohio by converting a small coney shop into the first Pizza Cottage.

Over the years their son Kevin grew the business into what it is today by using the principles he learned from his parents… always use the finest ingredients available, treat your customers and employees like family and give back to the community.

For years the Pizza Cottage in Buckeye Lake, Ohio has been attracting customers from all over Central Ohio. Now, the Pizza Cottage has expanded with locations in Lancaster, Newark, Pickerington, Zanesville and Circleville.

Good family spot to enjoy pizza, salads and wings. We ordered the large italian salad, delicious! We also ordered the wings, not bad and meaty. The prices are reasonable too!

Pizza Cottage is outstanding (why don’t they deliver)?! Their supreme «all the way» pizza is so good and loaded with mountains of toppings. The Ruthie’s Way sub sandwich is great — every time my fiancée and I visit family in the Pickerington area we make it a point to stop here.

My husband had his sub half gone when the server realized I had still not gotten my pizza. They took 25% off but my pizza was cold :(

very good pizza, overall flavors good with fresh ingredients. Crust thick btu not too thick and strong enough to hold the toppings… a big bonus is the crust is not greasy adn has a nice crunch to it. As Chicago native I must say this is just about as good as it gets for Ohio pizza.

This pizza is always delicious, but even more so than the pizza is the breadsticks! They are to die for! The staff is always friendly and prompt. Visit here about once a week for dine-​in or carry out.

The BLT pizza is amazing! However, I really have to be in the mood for it, it’s really messy when you eat it! The staff is friendly and the pickup window is nice to pickup order, especially when they are busy inside. The order is always ready when we get there.

Great place ! Never had a bad meal here. If you’ve never been here… I highly recommend getting a couple of small pizzas of different varieties and sharing them. The Philly Cheese-​steak pizza and the Hawaiian are what we usually get. The salads always seem to be really fresh as well. The chicken is also good too. The PLT sandwich is strictly for pepperoni lovers. Great taste loads of pepperoni. I haven’t had the BLT pizza or the Taco pizza. Which I’ve heard are delicious. As far as these service complaints… it’s hit or miss (like any other place) with mostly younger employees but usually pretty decent. They pipe in classic rock satellite music at a reasonable volume so «Yeah!» to that. It seems to be very family friendly as well with larger size booths and free standing tables.

Amazing! The BLT pizza was nothing short of awesome! Being able to eat it like a sandwich was great for the kids. Plenty of topping and unlike a lot of BLT pizzas the lettuce was crisp and tomatoes fresh! We can’t wait to their other pizzas!

Great pizza! Always consistent. Thin crust with cornmeal on the bottom with a slightly sweet sauce gives it a great flavor! Try the garden salad, a cheese pizza and the dessert pizza. Great combo. Eat here regularly.

Place is clean and the employees are friendly. The pizza, however, is a major disappointment. The only thing I taste is Parmesan cheese, which I don’t like. I asked if they could go light on the Parmesan. The employee looked confused and asked if I meant mozzarella. I couldn’t eat more than two small pieces. The taste of Parmesan is way too overpowering for my liking. I won’t go back.

Probably the best of the pizza cottage locations! I’ve been to several. Food is always great either dine in or carry out. The drive thru is convenient if you have kids in the car as well!
Very friendly staff just like all the locations. Always a pleasant experience. I recommend the Sicilian crust!

I don’t do tomatoes. Nope. No spaghetti sauce. No tomato soup. No chunks in my salad. And of course, no red sauce on my pizza! Pizza Cottage continues to be a personal favorite. Why? Chicken Philly pizza!
Slices grilled chicken, provolone and American cheese, green pepper, onion slivers, and fresh slices of mushroom to top it off. I’ve never had to wait more than 25 minutes for my food — and that’s when it’s very busy. The pizza is always hot, fresh out of the oven! Love it :)

Good pizza awaits you at Pizza Cottage. The only down side to this place is that sometimes you feel ignored by the staff, because no one takes your order, or no one brings you your bill. The pizza itself though, worth checking out. It’s like a less expensive Donatos.

Came for lunch, self-​seating, was served quickly and waitress was friendly. Got the lunch special with BLT personal pizza – very unique pizza as it has a layer of flatbread over top so you can eat it like a sandwich and is stuffed with bacon, lettuce, and tomato like BLT should be. Would like to come back to try something else on the menu!

If I was going to die, I’d want pizza to be my last meal. If I had to choose which pizza to make my final pizza, I’d die. But I’d have to say that the Pizza Cottage’s BLT pizza would be in the top three easily.
It is a unique style of BLT pizza where there is a regular pizza that has the expected Bacon, Lettuce and Tomatoes, but additionally, there is another pizza crust on top as well as mayo, creating very manageable «pizza sandwiches» to hold and eat.
I had never had an interest in non-​traditional pizzas, but a good friend of mine insisted I try this pizza and I’m glad she did.
So, I highly recommend you try the BLT pizza here. And I hope you’re hungry because it will fill you up!
I have since tried other offerings from the Pizza Cottage and they have all be pretty good. But I now I always will stick with the BLT.
