Classic Garage Doors

We recently bought a townhouse in Whittier, which was old and outdated. When we first bought the house, nothing about the front of the house was inviting including the garage doors.
The previous garage doors we had were made of old wood and were heavy and unsafe. Our whole system was very outdated and one the the garages didn’t even have a motor installed so it was a bit annoying to constantly move the car from the front of the garages in order to even get in… long story short I started asking my neighbors to see where they got their garage doors. After couple of recommendations and carefully searching Unilocal,I found these guys.
So I called the same day and was lucky enough to get Steve (owner) to come and give me a quote. Steve was easy to understand and made me feel comfortable and at ease. He was nice enough to go over all my concerns and questions and didn’t give me run around answers. Steve took careful measurements and went over the different parts of the garage door. The parts he used were above the industry standard, which was what sold me.
The day of the installation was smooth and everything went to plan. Steve and his nephew were pleasant, professional and efficient. I was so thrilled and happy to have two functional garage doors that not only operated smooth but also very durable and effective. Steve was able to color match my doors according to our HOA regulations which was a top priority.

I found Steve and Classic Garage Doors on Unilocal on Monday when my garage door opener died and I am very glad that I did. Steve was able to come out to my location that day and gave me a variety of options to fix my garage opener problem. Steve was knowledgable and did not try to up sell me in any way. He was even willing to let me buy a cheaper unit from Sears and said he would install. I thought this was great because I knew then that this guy was legit and could have pushed one of his units instead. The install was set up for Friday between 9 – 9:30 and Steve arrived on time. I ended up going with one of his Lift Master units because of the Wi-​Fi features it had. During the install one of my door springs broke and Steve replaced it at cost, no additional labor. That was very nice. Steve made sure the unit was in correct working order and programed all my remotes as well. I will definitely be recommending Classic Garage Doors to anyone who needs garage door work. Give him a call you will not be disappointed. By the way I did shop around before finalizing with Classic Garage Doors because thats the way I am and I was surprised to find that his prices were better than Mesa Garage and the fact that I could go with a small business owner made me feel good. I am a handyman, but I know my limitations. One of the hinges fell off my garage door jam. With the help of my son, we tried to fix it. The two of us could not lift the door high enough to put a brace under it. I called Steve from Classic Garage Doors. Steve and his crew replaced my mother-​in-​laws garage door a month ago. I met him and his crew when I dropped by to check their work. They replaced her old hinged door with a new automatic roll-​up door. Steve walked me through all the features of the new door. I was very impressed. They completed her door that morning and cleaned up and removed the old door and hardware. The price they charged was totally reasonable.
The day I called, Steve was able to drop by and give me an estimate. He did not pressure me to replace my door with a new automatic roll-​up door, but told me he could fix the old hinged door. I was relieved when he told me he could fix the door the following morning for $ 150. Steve and one of his crew showed up at the time they said they would. They replaced my old wood door jams with new ones and installed the loose hinge, replaced the springs and adjusted the door. I am totally relieved and happy to have Steve bail me out of a bad situation that I I was unable to fix myself. I plan to replace my garage door sometime in the future. When that time comes, I will definitely be calling Steve at Classic Garage Doors to do the job.

Steve came recommended from a very picky friend. We were not disappointed, he did a great job on our new garage door. He was on time, and has very competitive pricing. Cleaned up after and hauled away my ugly door when it was all done.

I called these guys in 2009 to replace old garage springs which I never ended up having problems so last night when my garage went crazy I immediately thought of calling them. It was late and my priority was to get the garage closed so I could sleep. I called my brothers over and they forced the dang thing shut bending the tracks… what ever it took to get the door shut. In the morning I remembered I kept the reciept from the spring replacement because there was a 1yr warranty… so I called Steve the owner and he gave me an estimate of $ 89 and a projected arrive time of 12−1pm. I let him know it was urgent I got it fixed today and he arrived at 11am. Awesome I thought but when he gave me the estimate over the phone I laughed and said I dont think its fixable but he said «let me take a look and see what I can do.» Mind you my garage was hanging in an angle with wheels off and all tracks bent. He looked at it and said I can fix it don’t worry. I thought to myself… sweet!!! He and his partner took an hour to diagnose and fix the problem. Didnt leave until I was satisfied and never made faces of annoyance from me checking everything out. At the end the bill was $ 89. I am a very satisfied customer… and Im not the type to boast about people unless Im really impressed and I was.
