Elado

This place is a hidden gem!!! I was craving ice cream a couple days ago so of course I trusted Unilocal to help me find a good ice cream shop. I found this Mexican style ice cream and I was sold by the pictures. All of the pictures on here, as you can see yourself, look so delicious. And boy was I not disappointed. The place is small but they have tables outside, which I always prefer.
I got the regular one, can’t remember what it’s called, but it’s mango and strawberry ice cream with strawberries and mango fruit chunks and tamarindo chunks.
The ice cream was so smooth and flavor full. It was simply delicious.
The only disappointing thing was that the girl working was not too helpful. I told her it was my first time and she didn’t offer samples, give recommendations, or anything. Also, they were out of strawberries :(but that’s okay cause it was still very good!
I will for sure come back and bring my sisters!

Definitely a hidden gem! Been here about three times. The sorbets are delicious sweet smooth and go perfectly with the fresh fruit! The staff is extremely friendly and makes the chabet to your liking. I highly recommend the guayaba and the cucumber lime sorbet they are super refreshing!

I love this ice cream spot. The girls are very friendly and helpful. The price not bad at all. Place is clean inside. My kids love to come here all the time. Sundays are yummy. Lots of flavors to choose from.

PROS: I’m glad this place finally has some business. Their Chabet ice cream is delicious. I mean, the texture is incredibly soothing on one’s tastebuds. Their assortment of flavors varies from a creamy horchata infused with cinnamon to a fresh guayaba sorbet.
Now the reason for the 3 stars is that my Fiancée whom is pregnant, had a sort of «CRAVING!!!» So when we arrived there, we were greated with a nice Elado welcome. We had beat the late evening rush but to our dismay (specially my significant other), there was no more Mexican Hot Chocolate (MCH)! Yes, I got the look, the (I am gonna go crazy in here if I don’t get what I want look). Luckily there was an alternative ice cream flavor… Mexican Chocolate with Oreos. Although I could tell that it was not a fullfilling choice for her, my fiancée took it like a champ. A.k.A. I got really lucky!
CONS: It was only 6pm and they were already out of their two most popular flavors, horchata and MHC. Now we know to call ahead to avoid any sort of disappointments. 3 hours prior to closing is way too early to run out of popular products.
Let’s get this fixed Elado management!

I went a few days ago. I was shocked it was so close, but it’s a little hidden in an empty parking lot with lots of businesses closed around it. I got guava dulce, i switched it up with using strawberry ice cream instead of guava and it was so good. The lechera, the pineapple and mango were a perfect taste. My boyfriend got the creamy churro. He replaces the chocolate syrup with lechera and one of his scoops was rocky road. The place was small and not to busy, the ice cream was delicious and creamy. The staff were bland but they were generous. I enjoyed it and I’ll be back.

I loved absolutely everything I sampled here!
Not only was the service fantastic, but the ice cream great in taste, variety, quality and price!
After several samples and not having a clue what to get I went with the churro sundae and it was amazing!
Prices are so fair compared to other places, that alone is a reason to come back!
They have so many flavors to chose from, best is to go with a bunch of friends and get a bunch of different flavors.
I can’t wait to be back!

Best Mexican ice cream around! The creamy churro is my favorite. Would recommend the small size because it is really sweet and the small is the perfect size to satisfies your sweet tooth with out being too overwhelmingly sweet.

I ordered a small Mucho Mango and it was the perfect size for an after meal dessert. I would give 4 stars for taste however, for the price of $ 3.99, it was a little too steep. I also sampled some of the ice cream and the flavors were good but they were iced over like it had been exposed in the freezer for too long.

Delicious, refreshing, great service with friendly female workers. I appreciate great service & again everything here is Delicious! I’ll definitely be back soon!

This place is like the higher end Hispanic version of Baskin Robbins, with both seasonal and year-​round flavors that will satisfy your sweet tooth and need for refreshment.
They“re best known for their Chabets, which are basically decadent ice cream concoctions with all the fixin’s in small, medium, or large cups. I happen to have a sweet tooth and am a sucker for decadent treats, so one of my favorites is the Creamy Churro Chabet, which comes with creamy Horchatta ice cream, freshly warmed churro pieces, & chocolate syrup. My other winner is the El Brownie– great for chocolate lovers– which is made with Mocca & Cajete ice cream, chewy brownie pieces, & chocolate pieces.
If you’re looking for something more refreshing and less sweet, they also have sorbets made with tropical flavors like cucumber-​lime, mango, coconut, guava, & even a Mexican staple fruit called Mamey, all of which can also be made into a chabet with real fruit pieces mixed in.
If you’re looking for something to take home with you, they can hook you up with pints of whatever flavors they have on hand, at the time. Or if you can’t decide, like me, get a couple of different flavors in single scoop form and try a whole bunch. They also let you sample, so you can be sure of hat you want.
Overall, the quality and taste are pretty decent. As an «ice cream connoisseur» who has spoiled herself silly with high end ice cream all over LA, I look for a certain pizazz from my ice cream. But the uniqueness and sheer decadence of these treats is worth the out-​of-​the-​way drive every once in a while.

The creamy churro chabet was underwhelming. For about $ 5, I got a medium which came with three scoops of bland flavored horchata ice cream, artificial tasting chocolate drizzles and decent warm churros. The only good part about this was probably the warm crispy churros.

I finally tried this place after seeing them on Instagram & just drooling at all the pictures!
I placed my order & payed online, & they texted me when my order was ready, which was great and very convenient!
Once I got there to pick up my order I still had to wait about 5 – 10 minutes for the churros to be freshly made, which I didn’t mind because they warn you about this before hand. (But I didn’t necessarily see my other ice creams ready to go either, they probably make them on the spot even if you order ahead, so they don’t melt and all that.)
Well I got the churro Chabet with horchata ice cream, the piña colada Chabet, & the nutty Chabet. I have to say the small size was more than enough, I was worried it would be super small, but they have very generous servings.
All The chabets were delicious! The ice cream is fresh & full of flavor. The horchata chabet with churro bites was my hands down favorite, so good! I Just recommend to eat the churro bites quickly because they go from warm to cold fast & turn chewy.
Overall great ice cream, will be coming back for sure!

The set-​up is a bit disorganzied, simliar to when you are waiting in line to get meat at the butcher’s…everyone is standing around randomly and you take turns putting in your order.
The ice cream is really good! The horchata ice cream with the churro bites is my favorite. The churro was stale though but still good! If there was a costco next door, it would be perfect. You can order the horchata ice cream and cut the costco churro into small pieces. .somethign to think about! yumm.

The Chabet is the hype here. It’s freaking delicious and a great way to end a date or to spend a summer afternoon. The girls working here are extremely nice and lets you try any flavor you’d like before making your important decision. The place has several tables inside and outside if you choose to sit and enjoy your treat. Huge parking lot so no worries there. And AMEX accepted. However, they do not take bills over $ 20.
I suggest the Horchata and Cajeta ice cream with caramel syrup and churros. SO GOOD!

Oh my… The chamoy is so freaking tasty! I got the tropical mix Chabert which has sorbet, real mangos, chamoy, and pieces of Tamarindo. Seriously, it was so mouthwatering. Yes, I drove through Pico just to try this place out. The gals here are very friendly!

I’m so happy i’m finally writing this review. I have been to this establishment so many times over the past 2 months since I discovered it. The ladies who work here are extremely helpful! Now let me warn you, the line is usally always long and there is a wait because they cut and make everything fresh! But i assure you that these employees are busting their humps! I personally do not mind waiting. A few of the employees know me by now and I’m not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing. But i’m just gonna stick to the positive side of things. :p
I always want to try somthing new but i end up ordering my usual which is the Mamay shake! I think i’m addicted, guys!
This is as good as it gets and if you have found a better place, please message me and let me know where you go! I’m always eager to try new places.

Take my money, Elado — take all of it!
I really enjoyed my visit to Elado this weekend. Everything I tasted (what I bought and what I stole outta my family’s cups) was so good — like, GOOD good. Their ice cream/​sorbet is like the paletas you looked forward to back in the day during a warm SoCal summer. There are the creamy varieties and the water-​based varities and they’re all so tasty!
I got one of their chabets (yeah, I never heard of that word either — apparently, they made it up) and the ice cream was watermelon & cucumber lime and it was topped with chamoy/​tamarindo. But really, any choice you make you can’t go wrong with here: some other stand outs were the horchata & cajeta flavors.
The cherry on this sundae (no pun intended) was the customer service. There were 2 females behind the counter and they were both incredibly friendly and helpful. They knew what they were talking about — or at least they learned to fake it till you make it – and offered samples of anything I had a question about.
This is a delicious, fun find. I know I’ll be back.

It’s rare that I give a 5 star rating but this is what it looks like! I walked in and told
the girl at the counter it was my first time here. She was supeeerrr nice and explained what the difference between sherbet and ice cream was. Then she gave me different ice cream blends she personally liked. She also gave me samples of what I wanted to try. My favorites were mamey and the coconut flavor! But I went with tropical mix, which I’ve seen a lot of pictures on here and my fiancé got the horchata with churros on top. They were both very delicious! I asked them to add more chamoy since I like the sourness. The churro chabet was creamy and the warmness from the churros blended nicely with the creamy texture of the ice cream. I would definetly come back for the other flavors and the great customer service ;)

I was in the area and decided to check this place out. I ordered the small Mucho Mango for $ 4.99. Using the Unilocal checkin, I got 15% off.
The inside has just a few tables. It’s clean, and the staff is friendly enough. There’s plenty of parking as it shares a large parking lot with a few other stores, including Chuck E. Cheese.
I was able to pick two flavors of sorbet, so I choose mango and watermelon. I didn’t know what the spicy, tangy, off tasting topping is that they cover your sorbet with. I didn’t like it at all. (Apparently it’s chamoy, and is an acquired taste.) I like spicy food, but this did not make my tastebuds feel good at all. It was trying to be sweet, salty, and sour all at once, but it just didn’t work. The watermelon and mango sorbets were okay; they were cool and refreshing, but not as good as Frostbites. I couldn’t eat a lot of the fresh mango pieces because they were covered in the sauce that buzzkilled my palate. The employee didn’t ask me whether I wanted it or not. Knowing what it tastes like, I think they should ask, especially for first timers such as myself. It really dampened my experience.
I would go back and try the ice creams to give this place another chance. I’ll be sure to mention not to give me any chamoy.

I have been looking for a good Mexican ice cream shop for the longest time and I am super glad that I found this one! Recommended by one of my good friends who live around the area.
Environment — this place is so darn clean. There are about 5 tables you can choose from to sit from with comfy chairs. Fun colors on the wall and a relaxing place to eat ice cream with a friend.
Service — when I went there weren’t a lot of people so the employee was chillin in the back prepping her ice cream stuff. But she was really nice during service. Her recommendations were tasty and she was always smiling.
Ice Cream — fresh strawberry, hands down. Always my first choice. But my friend said that everything she has had so far had been really good. So I’m guessing you cannot really fail here. Get anything! :)
I think this place will be my ice cream go-​to from now on. So yummy.
