Smart Choice Investigations focus is providing professional investigative services to the legal community of Tampa Bay as well as the individual in need of assistance to solve issues not a part of the criminal or civil justice systems. Smart Choice obtains the information needed, insures validity and then analyzes the content to supply relevant information to it’s clients.

Meet the Business Owner

John Z.

Business Owner

Our owner, John Zurenda, started his career as an investigator while serving in the U.S. Army at Ft. Bragg, NC. After serving, he returned to Tampa Bay and started his Law Enforcement career which spanned two decades. He served as a Patrol

Officer, Field Training Officer and as a Detective, where his specialty was Economic/​Financial Crimes, which included Exploitation of the Elderly and while a Patrol Officer was part of a designated group of officers dedicated to respond to Child Abuse calls. He has investigated everything from Shoplifting to Homicide. After his Law Enforcement career, he became a Guardian-​Ad-​Litem, speaking on behalf of at risk children in the Sixth Judicial Circuit and in wanting to do more, opened Smart Choice Investigations
