Dr. Edward Jang has been in the dental field for 20 years. He was a triple medal winner of the last Smile Gallery Competition hosted by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.

At our office, we utilize the newest materials and high-​tech equipment. In addition to our excellent restorative procedures such as tooth-​colored fillings, crowns, bridges, and implants, we offer custom smile designs, digital x-​rays (low radiation), water-​laser procedures, CEREC procedures (same-​day crowns), and Zoom or Boost Whitening.

In our strive for perfection, Dr. Edward Jang and the staff take continuing education classes to further our considerable skills and knowledge. Dr. Jang is also a teacher at the Spear Institute of Advanced Dental Education for aspiring cosmetic dentists.

I grew up in the Bay Area and attended University of the Pacific for both undergraduate and dental education. In practice since 1989 in the East Bay area, I believe in constantly striving to perfect all aspects of my dental practice through continuing education of all my team members as well as myself. My clinical interests currently include designing Enhanced Smiles and restoring Implants to assist each of my patients achieve his or her life goals with a healthy and beautiful smile.

I am a Board Member of the Contra Costa Dental Society. I am also certified by the Academy of Laser Dentistry and a member of the following organizations: American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, American Dental Association, and California Dental Association.

My hobbies include football, basketball, cars, and photography. I also take my role as a devoted father, husband and son very seriously. Outside my work, I spend as much time as possible with my family.

I look forward to my appointments with Becky at Dr. Jang’s office because she treats me like a human being — maintaining our teeth is hard and she acknowledges it and motivates me to improve. She knows how to make me laugh and knows how to give a sympathetic ear when life is hard too. Have you seen the TED talk that says over and over «It’s not what they sell, it’s how they make you feel»? Dr. Jang’s office has it all figured out.

Got my routine cleaning done, quick, painless and friendly, as usual. Over the years, Dr. Jang and all his associate dentists, hygienists, assistants and staff have been great. I always feel like I’m getting the first rate care.
A long time ago a friend advised me that if I find a good dentist, keep him. I’ve been with Dr. Jang for a couple decades now.

Believe it or not, I look forward to my visits to Dr. Jang’s office. Becky, my buddy and «official teeth cleaner» is a hoot and makes the hour pass by quickly and painlessly. The entire staff at Jang and Associates couldn’t be nicer or more welcoming. Whether a routine checkup & cleaning or a procedure, which thanks to their care doesn’t happen often, these folks are my office of choice. Dr Jang is a skilled dentist and uses the latest equipment and can talk local sports with the best of em! It’s because of him and his team that I got back on track with my oral care a decade ago!

If i Could give this place a no stars i would. They have the worse customer service I have ever experienced in my life. Their receptionist were rude. The dentist were nice. I was having problems with my insurance because i was so new, i wasn’t in the system. well the front desk kept calling me over and over through out the week. The would say one thing over the phone hang up, ask a manager and would call me back saying something different. they lack experience and customer service. I was getting fed up with the numerous calls and changes of my appointment dates i was told i could find another practice and was hung up on! When i called back I spoke to a manager who apologized, I would never go here again.

Every time I come here I have the worst experience EVER! Dr Jang is a complete asshole (excuse my French). He is just unprofessional and rude! His staff is ok and polite most of the time. But I cannot say the same for Dr Jang. I will never come here again! I have been here 3 – 4 times and have had negative experiences each time!
They try to over charge you for everything! Can’t stand this place.
I felt so disrespected… Luckily I kept it together because I was 2 seconds away from cussing him out!
Got copies of all my X-​rays as I will never step foot here again. Save yourself the time and find a legitimate dentist.

I recently moved to the area and needed to find a dentist for a simple cleaning. I chose this office due to the proximity of where I live and the positive reviews. I am sad to say that I am disappointed by my care. While the staff are very nice, the dentists and hygienists do not provide quality, evidence-​based care to their patients. I have many dentists in my family and I know what good dental care is. This place isn’t it.
My cleaning was sub-​par and included many unnecessary «procedures» to «clean» my teeth and «document» the condition of my teeth. My teeth feel cleaner when I brush and floss them myself.
The dentist I met with examined the photos of my teeth more than the X-​rays or looking at my actual teeth. She recommended a laundry list of unnecessary treatments and insisted that her recommendations were very «conservative.» Clearly they were not. During a subsequent trip back home, I visited my usual dentist who confirmed my suspicions that none of the treatments were necessary.
I will not be back to see any of the dentists in this practice and would not recommend these dentists to anyone.

Very friendly, thorough service. They have all the latest equipment and technology and the dentists and dental hygienists are very good at what they do. My husband and I need a lot of tooth maintenance work done, so they will be getting a lot of our $$, as well. They are very sweet to my daughter and she never complains about going for a checkup or cavity.

This office is the best dental office i have ever been to. All the ladies there from the front office to the ladies in the back made me feel very comfortable, i was not scared at all. They are a very high tech office as well and i like that because the dentistry is all up to date. The doctors are all very good. Dr Jang seems like he really knows his stuff. i like that everyone there is great at explaining anything that is going on from treatment to making payments. I would not go anywhere else!!! :)

Love, love, LOVE this dental office! I’ve always had an issue with going to see a dentist — never been a pleasant experience for me — but this office has proven to me that going to see a dentist can be pleasant.
The staff is very warm and caring — everyone has a smile when they greet you.
I recently went in because I had chipped one of my front teeth and the staff was able to repair the tooth then and there, without any pain or discomfort. They also gave me a lot of options as to how to handle the chip and the slight crack that is also in the tooth. They let ME make the decision, instead of making the decision for me.
I can’t thank them enough! I’m so happy with this dental office!

Amazing office, compassionate staff, state of the art technology and a very fun atmosphere. Everyone in the office seems to get along and work well together which makes going to the dentist more than bearable. I went to the same dentist for 22 years before I met Dr. Jang and his staff. There’s a reason why I smile in my profile picture. It’s beautiful, I know. But after coming here, boy, can I not stop smiling! Went on a weekday for a teeth cleaning, recommended by my brother. Fast and friendly service. Dr. Jang was very talkative, keeping me talking even though I could barely speak. One negative aspect about it is how expensive it is. Could find cheaper dentist if I look. But otherwise, definitely stepped out with a glowing smile and a glowing me. :D *bling*

Been coming to Dr. Jang’s office for over 2 ½ years now. Imma say it, I got a nice grill, but the office helps me keep it lookin’ legit!
The staff is very friendly and personable. definitely puts you at ease about being at the doctors. Fortunately I’ve never had cavities or fillings, so I can only speak to his cleaning abilities and just recently «removal of fluoride». Not really sure what it was, apparently I had it done when I was younger, but it sure did cost a lot to get it removed.
I like to stash the toothbrushes I get for future use and I always come home with a fresh mouth!
I’ve never actually met Dr. Jang, but I have seen Dr. Koo. Definitely a very nice dentist.

The staff here are down to earth and very easy to talk to. The facility is really clean and high-​tech. I wish they were closer to Vacaville now. :(
I highly recommend this place. I went this past Saturday for a regular cleaning and the office was packed. That just shows they are that good.

Don’t even think about going here, the front desk ladies sweet talk you into paying ahead of time in order to get your work done and then they bill your ins. co. later, but they got your money ahead of time in there pockets. This kind of practice is not really good to have them bill you ahead of time. Plus you can’t get your money (the one not used back!) They say your going to pay later anyways. I myself think this is not good bussiness. I am pleased to say I go to a better Dentist Co. and they don’t charge ahead of time, Thank God. for honest people. So if you don’t mind forking over pre-​payed money go ahead, and good luck!

This is the best dentist I’ve been to. I have always had a hard time finding a dentist, until I found doctor Jang. Dr. Jang and his staff are amazing. They are very personal with you, they addressed me the second I walked in the door by name, and even asked me how my mother was, who also comes to the same dentist. Every single experience I had was wonderful, from my cleaning all the way to an emergency appointment where they saw me the next day. I believe they are a wonderful family dentist and would recommend them to my family and close friends. For me the one thing that I loved most about them, was how they would take a real interest in their patients. They made sure I was comfortable and asked me if I needed anything constantly. I have always HATED going to the dentist. I had work that needed to be done, but was afraid to go. After going to Dr. Jang and his wonderful dental assistants, I overcame my fear. I also love how if you need a procedure done, where you need a shot, they even hold your arm or hand until the dentist is done just to make sure your alright. Even though that sounds silly, it makes a great difference. Thank you to the team at Edward Jang & Associates.

My husband and I have been going to Dr. Jang for almost 3 years now. We never miss our 6 month cleanings! If you want quality dental care, come to Dr. Jang. It’s true, they’re expensive but my teeth is something I’m just not willing to sacrifice. His dental assistance are on top of their game when it comes to making a patient feel comfortable in a very uncomfortable situation. I like it that Dr. Jang is a perfectionist because all the work he’s done on my teeth (including my bridge) is perfect! I show off my teeth and bridge to my friends and everyone says my teeth are beautiful and they can’t even tell it’s a bridge. If you’re scared, like me, when you go to the dentist, simply ask Dana (Dental Assistant) to be with you; she’s a pro and makes you feel at ease!

Once agian had a lovely visit with Dr. Jang and Staff,. Today I met DR. Gonzalez. She did my cleaning and my 3 years old watched. She was really professional and took extra care with my teeth. She explained to me: I need to floss and get a smaller tooth brush or an electric tooth brush, so i can clean my molars better.
It nice to know that they have maded it through my one year anniversary mark for most dentist. Usually I get new dentist every year because of unstatisfactory reasons, but so, Dr. Jang and Staff are constantly strives for excellant customer service. I recommend all my friends and family here.

Dr. Jang’s office is good, professional, friendly, but man they’re expensive! My insurance never covers all of the charges… And they keep getting me to come back in to have my old fillings replaced that are silver/​metal/​whatever… But hey if you don’t mind paying its one of the better dentists around the east bay pinole area!
