History

Established in 1998.

Cabinet making was the first job I had after the Marine Corps, discovering that I have a talent and a love for creating beautiful functional enviornments in the kitchens, I opened my first bus in 1986 in Redding CA. After a few of Lifes experiences moved to San Francisco area opened MGM’s Cab. Inst. In Feb 1998, and had the privledge of working with some wonderful clients that helped form my Business it is Today.

Being a working Owner, I am personally on every job. Making sure the results are everything and more of your expectations. We keep the job site clean and organized throughout the process, stay on schedule and on budget to make a difficult process as uneventful as possible.

A working Owner, that’s a father of three girls. Grew up in the farming enviornent, enjoys a very active life from homework with my 4th grader to competing in the Racquetball World.

Realizing the importance of health and well being, and helping to put a smile on someone’s face, keeps my desire and appreciation of my gift.

Michael Moxley just helped us complete an entire kitchen remodel. He is great to work with.. always quick to respond to our emails and texts. It’s amazing that this continued even after we had given him the final check! I contacted him on the weekend and he had one of his workers out to fix the minor issue on Monday morning.
We were new to hiring a contractor but we wanted someone that would listen to what we had to say. Engineers like having things done right and collaboration worked really well with Mike. Our kitchen is beautiful. Thank you MGM’s Cabinet Installation!

Five stars on first review five stars on this one to Mike exceeded my expectations after Carlos the person working on the door realized I had bought the wrong door he called Mike the owner right away and he said he would go get the correct door less than 30 minutes later the correct door was here I’ve nvr been so impressed with any service like this one if you need the job done go with this company great hard working professionals to say the least thank you Mike and Carlos :)

Complaint Description:
Has not completed contract for 3shelves & 2doors in over 1 yr.
The contract was signed at the end of Jan 2014 for construction of 3 built-​in shelves/​entertainment centers and installation of 2 outside doors. To this day (Feb 11, 2015) every deadline promised has been missed. The shelves were installed with colors that do not match from top to bottom. Shelves had to be redone with workmanship being fair. The trims of the shelves are still not yet installed. Electric outlets which were modified by workmen as part of installing shelves no longer work and have not been fixed. The two outside doors were installed. Both sag and one had to be redone. The other has to be jiggled to close. Within 1 month of installation, one door’s trims fell apart and were glued/​nailed together with promise that it would be replaced. Thus far, no further word regarding replacement has been received. Multiple requests for updates and completion have been met with false promises and missed deadlines/​appointments. Almost all of the agreed upon price has been paid based on false promises that payment would allow for the next phase to take place. I have saved emails and texts demonstrating all the missed deadlines and false promises.

Big fan of MGM, Mike and Carlos. Mike was very responsive. I liked that he responded to my email over the weekend. Carlos did a great job retrofitting a new cabinet into an old set of cabinets. It looks just as if it we all installed up front! Thanks guys!

MGM installed a patio door at our house. They did the install, not including materials for about $ 1000. I expected high quality, given the reviews on Unilocal,and the price. What I got was functional, but the workmanship was not great. The trim install was a bit sloppy and the men doing the install were rushed.

I found these guys through Home Advisor, formerly Service Magic. I needed a new front door. Mike walked me through exactly what I had to do to get the door installed for the best price on the very next day! I was a little bit in shock — I expected to wait for someone to come out and measure and to then wait for an appointment. I had asked a contractor I’d worked with before to quote me on the job two weeks ago and he didn’t get back to me. The installer picked up the door and hardware that I had put on will-​call at Home Depot and arrived on time, got right to work and did a beautiful job. Mike stopped by and we had a nice chat. I highly recommend this company!

Hello everyone! Is this the same Michael Moxley or MGM cabinet? If so my ratings for this company is TOP NOTCH! He is the best of the best, honest, good person and very likeable personality. YES I said that for my own experienced. I had my house remodel through out in 2009. My kitchen cabinet contractor left the kitchen cabinet handles. I called MGM and installed them nicely and neatly for a reasonable rate. I highly recommend MGM for all your Kitchen Cabinet project in the future.

I found MGM Cabinet on Unilocal and saw the positive reviews. I had some cabinets and shelf’s to install in a small Hercules, CA biotech laboratory and called MGM in to give me a quote. After the surfaces were ordered a date was set and the MGM team was in and out in a day. On time and no mess for me to worry about. The bench top was perfect and the shelf’s look great and add functionality to the work space. I highly recommend Mike and his MGM team.

If you’re looking for high-​quality interior door installation, MGM is your company! I was in need of having new interior doors installed in my SF rental property and thankfully found MGM. I contacted Mike and described the job. He carefully explained the process, quoted a fair price for the job, and dispatched Carlos to perform the work. Carlos was very knowledgeable and experienced craftsman. He cut the doors to the required specifications and completed the installation in one day. Overall, I was VERY satisfied with the work performed and will plan on contacting MGM for any future interior door installation needs!

Mike installed my kitchen cabinets and I’m pleased with his work. His crew were proficient, neat and tidy. Everything was done in a timely manner. The workers were professional, clean & toook away all the boxes. We set a price for the job and he stayed with it, even coming out a couple of extra times and finishing up when we had some cabinets back-​ordered (we ordered our cabinets through Home Depot and MGM did the install). Mike provided us with a plumber and helped us find granite for the countertops. The finished product is beautiful.
