Andrew and his guys did a very great work for me. It’s very easy to communicate with them. He is a very nice man.

JG Décor painted the outside of my grandma’s house in LA, and they did a wonderful job. They are perfectionists, so the painting completed was really thorough and clean. We’re still pretty blown away by their work!
Our specific requests were all considered and completed by this company, and we never had any difficulties with scheduling and contacting them. They also seem very considerate about completing projects as quickly as possible. All in all, our experience with JG Décor has been nothing but positive and we’ll definitely be contacting them again for any future projects!

Andrew came highly recommended from another realtor. I have a few contractors on my call list, but decided to give him a try on my client’s remodeling project. Andrew came out promptly and gave me a quote on the same day. He is very professional and described exactly what he is going to do and how long it will take. He went to the garage and found some leftover flooring that he could use for patching (saving us additional money). Price is very reasonable and work quality is excellent. More importantly, he completed the project right on time. I’m with happy clients and I’ll be sure to use him again for my next project.

I had JG Décor redo my cabinets and they did an excellent job. Our previous contractor did a horrendous job on our kitchen cabinets — drawers were misaligned, glue was everywhere, and screws were puncturing through the plywood. The guy even flipped the top and bottom of the cabinets so that the screws were visible from within the cabinet. My wife and I were upset and disheartened by the fact that our brand new cabinets (which had cost us thousands of dollars) were being ruined.
I didn’t think anything could be salvaged, but Andrew and Peter (aka Pedro) did an AMAZING JOB! I was extremely surprised as to how well they fixed everything! They somehow (i have no idea how) got rid of the glue, realigned all the cabinets, and filled in punctures with wood filler and repainted the damaged areas. The work they had to do was more difficult than simply assembling new cabinets because they had to undo all the bad work. Not many contractors are willing to follow up the botched up work of a previous contractor (i know because i had called several), but JG décor was willing to step up. Also the price was more than fair! They were far more affordable than others I had called. Thank you Andrew and Pedro!
Also as a side note, Pedro makes his own cabinets! He uses thicker plywood so that the sturdiness is ensured. If i had known this I would have totally gone with him (these custom cabinets however are more expensive. He also makes bookcases, entertainment centers, and wood shutters and does crown molding. I was thinking about having Pedro work on our shutters, but that might be a project for next time.
I also need to add that the owner, Andrew, is a pleasure to work with. Some contractors tend to have a bad attitude or questionable character, but Andrew was respectful and HONEST. I had him look at our kitchen tiles which were slightly misaligned and he said that he could work on them but because the tiles weren’t the best, he wouldn’t be able to do much more. So he suggested we keep them as they were. But since my wife and I wanted a second opinion, we talked with another contractor who ASSURED us that he could align them PERFECTLY. Trusting that this contractor could fulfill his words, we went ahead and redid the kitchen floor with those same tiles, and it was laid down exactly the same — crooked. Needless to say, we were pretty upset and fired the guy; and we were out $ 2000 I think back as to how I should’ve just listened to Andrew. Anyway, go with JG décor and you won’t be disappointed!

I hired JG Décor to install wood flooring and painting works. they competed the same works on time with good quality so that I can move my office in time. I am quite satisfied with their workmanship, They are licensed contractor you can depend on.
Andrew, the owner is honest and reliable person who manages the crews in proper way.

My wife and I bought a house in Anaheim that was built in the early 70’s. We called several contractors, most couldn’t come out to even bid the job for a couple weeks and were scheduling 1 – 2 months out from there and the ones that could come by had no license or an expired license (or were using someone else’s).
Andrew had stellar reviews, was prompt and forthcoming, payment schedule was clearly laid out, pricing was on par with what I expected and he offered a well organized contract. Given the aforementioned, we hired him with a projected date of 4 weeks to completion. We had Andrew hang new doors and moldings, move some electrical (some of the doors were pocket doors so this was required), build some cabinets and paint the place, top to bottom.
Carpentry: ²⁄₅ Stars
STAY ON HIM. He subcontracts his carpentry to someone that speaks almost no English which wouldn’t be a problem if he had exercised proper judgment/​given proper instruction. It doesn’t help that there’s a language barrier with Andrew, too. If I had hired him and been hands-​off the project as I was with my flooring contractor who did amazing work, I would likely be in a lawsuit right now. I do not think I have EVER been so dissatisfied with work while it was being done only to be argued with by my contractor. Some doors were perfect, others had mis-​aligned strike plates (allowing the doors to flap as interior pressure changes), my pocket doors were hung so the tracks/​adjusters were visible, doors were WAY overcut for the handles we purchased, and frames were over-​cut for their standard strike plates, ball-​detent strike plates (that accompany closet doors with dummy-​handles) were installed as though they were a routered strike plate so the doors were cut and the ball-​detents were hitting the paint on the upper door frame. I had to show Andrew how to properly setup a dummy handle on the door and he ended up fixing the frame and door with bondo but the over-​routered strike plates were not fixed, just filled with painter’s caulk.
Now for the most irritating situation: my laundry-​room to garage fire-​door was framed and installed crooked. I came to see the house and noticed this while the carpenter was hanging it and he said he would fix it. Again, very strong language barrier but I’m pretty sure we left with the same understanding. I came back the following day to find the drywall and molding in and the door hadn’t been fixed. At this point, I called Andrew to come look and he told me the hole in the frame didn’t match up unless the door was installed this way. Keep in mind, this is a pre-​hung door… This was a bold-​face lie. Even if it were true, he should’ve contacted me and I would’ve cleared him to re-​router the frame or do whatever necessary to level the door as I do not cut corners. I would’ve happily paid if additional labor was involved. He refused to correct and I now have a crooked door that drives me nuts.
He was quick to correct the issues that were reasonably cheap to correct (door strike plates, filled all the over-​cut doors in with bondo, etc.) but I wasn’t after another project to manage so I hired him. Well, I ended up managing him who managed his guys. This annoyed me as I could’ve subbed the work out myself and not needed to deal with him fighting me along the way.
Cabinetry/​Paint: ⁵⁄₅ stars
Cabinetry guy was expensive but worth every penny. Matched our current cabinets perfect and his attention to detail is outstanding. No problem on the cost, I am happy to pay for quality work.
He again subbed out to a painter. This guy I would hire to paint my mother’s coffin. His attention to detail, precision and finish work is second to none. I could not be happier with anything he did. In fact, this is the guy Andrew called in to fix the screw ups of all the other guys. Busted drywall from pocket doors, electrical, over-​routered doors/​frame, etc, this guy fixed it all and I’m super-​anal about drywall. I usually want a whole wall re-​textured when a patch is in but this guy is a paint/​texture ninja.

Andrew means well and aims to please. In some areas, they lack the skill/​knowledge to properly complete a task. Unfortunately, they won’t tell you but you’ll pay for them to learn. Other areas (paint/​cabinetry) I would recommend them to everyone. He fixed the things i pressed him to fix (other than the crooked door) but also forced me to manage the project which I could’ve done without him.
Funny enough, I met some people through a mutual friend that had used Andrew in the past. He experienced the exact same issues that I wrote about above but never reviewed him on Unilocal.Well Unilocalers, I feel it’s my responsibility to share my experience with you to ensure you do not enter a contract with JG Décor blindly as I did. I would hire them in a heartbeat to paint, that’s about it unless you want to be your contractor’s project manager. Then again, I guess I would hire their painter in a heartbeat, again, not so much them.

Andrew was very genuine and professional. I had good time working with Andrew. He did a really good job on my house remodel. The guys who work in my house are very professional and careful. They all showed up very early in the morning during the days they work here. They finished every job with good quality within promised time frame. They did everything exactly as I demanded, even though I always make sudden changes. And the price is very fair compare to others. Overall, I am very satisfied with Andrew’s work and will definitely consider him again if I do another remodel.

I was speechless about JG Décor. After having read so many positive reviews on Unilocal,I decided to call JG Décor to give it a try for my house remodeling. I made an appointment with Andrew on the phone first. Then, I texted him two days later making sure the time. Andrew texted me with «OK». Then, on the day of the appointment, Andrew did not show up on time. I called 3 minutes after the appointment time and was told first that he showed up «on time» — at the time he thought we had agreed on the phone. I reminded him about the text messages and I got his response that he was OK to change our appointment time to 30 minutes later. He then changed his story and said that he had shown up one hour early than the original appointment time, and he left 10 minutes after the appointment time. I told him I actually got to my house at the time he left. Then, he said to me, «Well, you probably just missed me.» I then asked if he had shown up one hour early before our appointment time and indeed waited for me for the entire hour, why didn’t he call me at all? Also, if he had waited for me for the entire hour before our appointment time and then he did not see me show up at the scheduled time, why didn’t he call me? Don’t we live in a world with a cellphone, and he has my cellphone number. He then said to me that he could not come back to my house at all. That just tells me that he was lying that he showed up or waited for me for an hour before the scheduled time. He basically did not want my business, and I am now very skeptical about other reviews saying he is punctual and professional.

I met with Andrew after setting up an appointment. He was timely and gave me a fair estimate. It turns out — his price was the lowest and I got a good vibe from him — so I hired him and work began on January 2^nd.
I’ll get this out of the way up front — it was supposed to be a two day project but it trickled into a third day. I almost docked JG Décor a star for that but three extra hours for fine quality work wasn’t worth the knock — just a quick mention.
OK — so the day we are to begin, Andrew arrived at 7:30 to show us two paint samples — we chose our favorite and then he went to get the color ordered while his two painters began moving furniture and taping off our belongings. Let me tell you, these guys were THOROUGH! One think I can’t stand is a lackluster tape job — these guys made sure stuff was sealed off and their lines were straight.
Day 1 was long — and smelly. Because primer is smelly, of course. But things were going according to plan. All our wood cabinets were meticulously sanded and the guys worked from 8:00 until 4:00 with a 30 minute lunch break.
Andrew was in and out throughout the project… checking the work to make sure it was up to par.
Day 2 started off well — but because it was so cold it was taking longer for the paint to dry. About 1:00 one of the painters told me he was worried that they would not be able to finish on time. I texted Andrew and he called me back right away so we could clear up the scheduling concern — I mean, he got right back to me and then drove over to inspect the work and adjust the schedule so it was convenient for me.
The job took a little longer than I would have liked — but the work was excellent — and the customer service was fantastic. I would definitely recommend Andrew and JG Décor for your paint needs.

I am a year over due writing this review! I bought my first home last year and I hired Andrew to paint all the walls and to change our floors to laminated wood. Andrew was very professional, always on time, and never hesitated to put in his two cents when needed. He got our project done two days earlier than the time frame he had estimated. I was very pleased with the way everything turned out. Our floors and wall look great! He pretty much can do it all. We are planning on remodeling our kitchen and garage. I am definitely hiring Andrew again for all our future home improvement projects!

I had the pleasure of working with Andrew for my home remodel. I bought my house at the end of August 2014 and asked a few contractors to come by and give me a quote a week before I closed on the house. Andrew actually got to the house earlier than the scheduled time (and I ran quite late btw), but he waited until I got there. His prices were fair and he answered everything to the best of his knowledge. It was my first ever home, so I had TONS of questions. Work started a week later and my wife and I were quite happy with the work. The work we had Andrew do included:
— demolition of the old flooring
— installation of new flooring throughout the house (tile and wood laminate)
— new shower room
— removed popcorn ceiling
— installed 25 LED lights
— removed and then installed 14 new windows and 1 door
— repainted the entire interior
— repainted cabinet facings
— replaced 2 toilet bowls
There were times when we had miscommunication issues, but he worked quickly to resolve it. He was quick to respond to my texts and emails as well. My wife and I are not very easy to please, but Andrew kept his cool and professionalism throughout the process. I would definitely have Andrew come back and work on my exterior when money permits…

Andrew was quite prompt with his responses. However, there was a bit of miscommunication between us at first. Andrew was quick to resolve the problem to make me a satisfied customer in the end by making sure I was happy. I just wish he would mention in the beginning that he will not be doing the work himself but his crew members will. I guess I could have asked for a more details. That was my lesson to be learned. Regardless, the crew did a pretty good job with the final product. I would consider working with Andrew and his crew again.

Same day in-​home estimate and same day quote!!! =D

Andrew was very professional, prompt and courteous. We needed our dark brown maple cabinets to be repainted to white and the center island to black. His painter Thomas did such a good job you could never tell the cabinets were any other color. They both knew a lot about paint and quality and so far it has held up when we clean the surfaces. We ended up having them paint an accent wall and repaint our bathrooms too! I would definitely recommend to my friends and for future paint jobs at the house!

Andrew and his team did a great job painting the interior of my condo. The job was done right on time. I recommend JG Décor without reservation.

I was looking for a contractor to do a few improvement projects on a 1970s house. After getting several quotes I decided to hire Andrew and I was very glad to have made that decision. His pricing was very reasonable, his team did quality work with a quick turnaround. I had work done in the kitchen to put granite countertop and a new sink, repainted the house, replaced carpet, replaced faucet, installed ceiling fan and some light fixtures. He has good manners, polite and honest. Very responsive and accommodating, he even picked up sink and ceiling fan for us. Thanks Andrew for doing great work, we will recommend you to anyone looking for a contractor!

We were looking to remodel our master bathroom. I found JG Décor on Craigs list. Andrew called me back promptly. Andrew reviewed the job and provided an estimate in a few days. We had other bids, Andrew’s a fair price for the job, not too high and not too low. His staff Danny and Angel are the most hard working and conscientious people and we enjoyed their progress each day. They start the day promptly at 8AM and at times work until 7PM, almost unheard of when hiring general contractors!
Quality of work … outstanding … electrical, plumbing and most importantly their beautiful tile work. They keep the work area clean and clean each night before they leave, very respectful when going through the house with debris and material.
We ordered and brought in all the material, tile, sink, cabinet, toilet and mirror.
We had underestimated the shower floor tile, and we had to place an additional order… it was going to be in Anaheim at 2pm one day, Andrew called to tell me he was driving to Ontario to pick it up himself! He makes sure the job is on schedule. no excuses !
Andrew recommended a frameless glass shower door, we agreed and he had it measured and installed right on schedule. It was great quality and just makes the bathroom all that more beautiful.
I had additional requests, a custom built in shelving cabinet, Andrew had Danny built, it came out gorgeous. Danny even felt the painter did not do a good enough job and did the additional touch ups, so that it came out classy looking.
Some other details that they were able to work with was a Pottery Barn Oval Swivel mirror that mounted above sink, turned out beautiful. Shower has German dual shower head and hand held shower head. they did a perfect job installing.
As any job once you start using the bathroom you may find something is not quite working right, the shower door at the bottom where it sits on the tile, did not seem to be sealed all the way. Called Andrew and he will be able to send someone back to attend to the issue.

I stumbled upon Andrew and JG Décor via Unilocal reviews and they definitely were right! I finally wanted to start to do a few projects in my house, which included wood flooring, new carpet, painting, demo’ing an old entertainment center, fireplace mantel paint, and more! Andrew right from the beginning is extremely attentive to your needs. He brought in samples to show me and for the wood flooring, I explained what I was looking for (which was not in the samples he brought), but he went that very day to his vendor and shot me an email with the sample I wanted! He also went above and beyond by locating marble that matched mine that I would potentially need with the entertainment center demo. For each project, Andrew was here promptly at 7:30am (when i needed him so I can go to work) with his Team specific to what needed to be done. I had three sets of Teams, one for flooring, one for carpet, and one for painting… every Team was extremely professional/​polite and courteous of my furniture. All of them are meticulous at what they do. Each time a new Team came in, I got worried, knowing the prior Team was great, but each one did what they needed to do perfectly!
Also kudos to Andrew for going out to buy these coasters that apparently sit under the wheels of my grand piano on the new wood flooring to prevent it from damaging it over time. I didn’t even know those things existed! Andrew could have just let it be, but made the critical observation, and headed to home depot to purchase and place them under the piano. That alone shows you are working for someone who really CARES!
I definitely will be using Andrew for ANY remodel needs moving forward. I already am in the works now to do the flooring in my office as well as change out my patio doors.

He had done my house for extra storage under the stair case, installing new doors on the wall, and paint jobs. I was totally satisified his work and the extra storage under the stair case is awesome. He made two divided space so i can have refrigerator and wine cooler. Good manner!!! good service!!! I will definitely wanna recommand his team.
