We specialize in tires, and we know cars. Whether your car needs a front-​end wheel alignment, an oil change or a new set of tires, we do our best in getting you the best price. We will try and beat any competitor’s price in El Dorado County for your business. Tire Exchange will either have the tires you need in stock or we can order any size tire and brand with available pickup the next business day. We pride ourselves in making your experience with the Tire Exchange as memorable as possible.

History

Established in 2013.

The Tire Exchange is a family owned and operated business that has been expanding since the early 1990s! The 1540 Broadway location of the Tire Exchange has been under ownership of Ken Macklin since 1995. Macklin’s father-​in-​law Nick Toms previously owned Toms Sierra Tire in the very same Broadway location nearly 15 years ago! The Tire Exchange has expanded upon the knowledge and experience of the Toms Sierra family business. Tire Exchange opened up in July 2013 breaking through with simple automotive services such as tire sales, alignments and oil changes. With growing business Tire Exchange will offer brake services and a full-​scale mechanic.

Ken M.

Business Owner

Ken M. owns and operates the Tire Exchange in Placerville, Calif. Ken has 20 years of experience in the auto industry ever since Ken’s father-​in-​law bought Toms Sierra Tire Company. Toms Sierra was in the same building as the Tire Exchange, and Ken even kept ownership of its 1540 Broadway location after the company sold in 1998. Ken has even immersed himself in the fuel and gasoline industry over the last decade and decided to open up his own tire store in July 2013. With an irrefutable reputation in the automotive industry, Ken has full-​scale and trustworthy knowledge about the cars and tires.
