what’s up with all the calls going to Panama and I can’t seem to talk to anyone in the mitigation customer advocacy?!
I can’t push my payment back a day because y’all need 3 days??? Then I was told to schedule another payment for Friday then call my bank and cancel it. I told her if she was wrong that I would have $ 800 taken out of my account. She assured me the bank would do it. I decline schedule another payment. I chose to call my bank first, and my bank said «NOPE. WE CANT DO THAT. We need 3 days.» I am so mad right now. I am don’t with y’all. I’m going to Bank of America for my auto Refinance. I asked for a supervisor and they were all in a meeting… Yeah right. 2 sales reps and floor supervisor and still no help… This is what is wrong with America! People don’t wanna help at all. SMDH

Getting a loan through this company was the worst decision I have ever made in the car buying process. I tried to sell my car to a third party buyer and they told me that I needed to pay the car off to receive the title. No big deal right that is pretty normal for any car sale. However this is where they screw you. It takes a minimum of 15 days to get your title in the mail. Well no buyer in their right mind would ever hand over their money 15 days before they received the title. Forcing me to drain my saving and pay the car off in full so that I can sell it to someone else.

ANOTHER TIME MY CAR IS GONE!
Yet again, this company has screwed me over! They cancelled my Direct Pay and took my car, so I have to try to get my car back out of wherever they are holding it.
Called the «customer service» and the person I spoke with is giving me information about how they could not find payments. This is the second time I have had to deal with this issue! HORRIBLE car loan company! Run for the hills if a car dealership tells you they approved you with Capital One.

Unreal! They did not post my payment and it has been over a month. Then customer service is rude! I will not use this company ever again and will refinance this auto loan shortly.

I wish I could say I had a great joy using this company. I cannot. First of all, I have never been subject to shadier customer service. It’s almost as if Comcast Customer Service reps graduate and then come to work for Capital One. My wife had her auto loan through this company and everything was going splendorous. It was only when we went about selling the car that the problems arose. None of their departments communicate with one another and they all give random answers. After speaking with multiple supervisors I’ve come to the conclusion that everyone working there doesn’t care.
I would much rather move to North Korea for a year than have to deal with this crap company ever again.

If I could gave a negative score I would. This the worst company to deal with; all they say well within policy I can’t help you and I’m sorry for your inconvenience. My mother recently been diagnosed with breast cancer and I need my car to take her back and forth to her appointments. The payment had been paid and been cleared by the bank but they refused to release my car. I even got to talk to Office of the president and still they remain heartless to my situation. Never again will I deal with them again and they will be reported to better business bureau. I’ll find a way to get out of my loan so I don’t have to deal with any more.

Wish I could give it negative stars. I have had them for my auto loan for 5 years. I was always on time, until I had heart surgery. They were trying to repossess my car while I was in the operation. I fell behind due to my recovery, they came in the middle of the night and took my car (March)I tried setting up an auto pay, they said they sent the payment back to the bank. I asked why and was put on hold for 30 minutes, never got an exact reason. Asked what the other fees are on the statement are didn’t get a reason. Worst customer service I’ve ever dealt with

Your online auto loan process is a FAIL. One email to me says «NO we can’t approve you» and other emails are prompting me to login and sign an eContract. And of course, you’re filling my inbox with more emails (SPAM) with your products. GET IT TOGETHER!

NEVER EVER AGAIN! I’ve used the blank check featured in the past and 2 yrs ago, after my divorce I bought a car and financed with Capital one. NEVER had a late payment! Just wrecked my car and the loan was paid off in full by insurance. need to purchase a new one car and capital one denied me because of credit issues that were due to the divorce AND on my credit report when they gave me a loan 2 yrs ago! I understand guidelines change– but i was a good paying customer and have reestablished credit in other ways since they gave me the loan. I will be buying other cars in the future once the credit issues caused by my ex are off my credit and I am golden in the credit world, but I will NEVER finance with Capital One again!!!

this is the worst company for anything!!! they harass you so badly. explaining a mishap means nothing. yes, owing a payment is expected… but; being called 12 hours straight is absurd!!! calls start from 8:45am until 9:00 pm. on a sunday… from my research: calling after hours is illegal or at least harassment, calling repeatedly is breaking the peace and can nullify a contract!!; calling on sunday at any time warrants a lawsuit!!! threatening to tow your hard earned car, ruin your credit and send tow trucks after you is breaking your peace!!! some people don’t know their rights! i would never, ever use this company for anything. they also find reasons to add on fees when you are struggling. they threatened to take my car, sell it at auction and still recover money from me. accused me of not «working» with them. when i spoke up for myself and let them know of my rights and their violations… they backed off!!! the worst part was when i was blessed and could pay off the nagging (seemingly never ending) balance… the agent on the phone actually got angry. the mean woman tried to incite me into an argument… accused me of sounding «irritated!!!» i did not dignify her with an answer, I simply paid my balance and got on with my life!!! i’m sure they have others to harass and ridicule… but not me!!! GOOD RIDDANCE!!! PLEASE AVOID THIS COMPANY… THEY WILL HARASS YOU AND LITERALLY TAKE OVER YOUR PHONE WITH BEGGING CALLS DAILY!

My husband and I had an auto loan through Capital One. We had the loan since ²⁰⁰⁹⁄₂₀₁₀ and we attempted to pay it off at the beginning of this month (February 2014). We called Capital One to let them know that we had a certified check coming from our bank. They made a note on our account. 2 weeks or so went by and we hadn’t heard anything about the receipt of the payment or the release of the car title. My husband called Capitol One, who said they didn’t receive the payment. So we canceled the previous check, and sent a new one in mid February. We received a letter on February 13, 2014 stating our payment was received and the title would be released in 7 – 10 business days. It is now past that deadline, and still no signs of the title.
We have had other issues with this company in the past, but we managed to get by them and move on. But this is just a little ridiculous…
Unless all the other banks in the world fell off the face of the Earth, we will not be using Capital One anytime soon.

Applied for a used car loan of $ 10 000 from MY financial institution for the past 15 years capital one. I have perfect credit, with a credit score of over 800, nothing negative on any credit report whatsoever, have a small mortgage left on my home I bought in 1999 because I always add significant extra principle to each payment. The letter I received said I was denied because of a) too many mortgages b) the year my mortgage was originated
I own one home, the one I live in and bought in 1999. They cannot give me any valid reason why they declined my application. I’ve been on the phone and visited my local bank and have gotten nowhere. I’ve already told them I will be moving my funds to mother bank ASAP because of this. They apparently don’t care. What an insult. I’ve made complaints to both the state attorneys office and another place that monitors banking. It may not do any good, but I want everyone to know how they treat a long time good customer with excellent credit. As soon as I can rid myself of them I’m done.

I had used Capital One on two occasions several years ago, when purchasing new vehicles and they were alright. I had ordered a new vehicle, which I was intending to pay for full in cash. But I decided against paying the full amount in cash and to finance about 20% of the vehicle cost. I was approved for this small auto loan by
Capital One. After jumping through their approval process hoops, I was informed that the dealer I ordered through was not «an approved» Capital One dealer. Surprise, since I previously had a $ 30k Capital One loan accepted by this dealer in ’04 for a new truck. I told them to forget it. I could not do business with them. My new car will be in in two weeks and I can either pay the full amount in cash or finance through Ford. My assumption is that Capital One receives rebates back from their «accepted or approved dealers. Very slippery. The whole process felt sleazy. Bottom Line: They will loan you $$ and then direct you as to where you can spend it.

I will never finance another auto loan through Capital One. I have superb credit. I was four days late on a payment and received two calls that were less than pleasant. I will be going to my local bank and refinancing. Plus I had to practically stand on my head at the dealership to get the finance guy to give me a good rate. Even still, I think I got screwed.

What harassment from the overzealous Indian customer service interrogator. I fell a month behind on my loan with 13 months to go to finish a 6 year loan and called in to pay. First, I was told I can’t use a debit card, then NO money orders!!! Then she proceeded for the 3^rd time to be asked why I fell behind, why do I not have a checking account. etc. I’m surprised I wasn’t asked to have a garage sale! Anyway, you would really think… after paying on a vehicle for 5 years yes I would want to keep it and perhaps fell behind… No more capital one for me. it seems to be there is is some type of recruitment of employees from India to the U.S. and I’ve seen and talked with them around the facility in Plano. Maybe just a customer service etiquette session might be nice, because talking to a «REAL» employee isn’t a very pleasant experience!

My advice: DO NOT EVER USE CAPITAL ONE AUTO FINANCE! I have superb credit, and after a dealership last spring informed me that my 4% auto loan would be through Harris Bank (LIE), they did a «bate & switch» and sold my auto loan to the deceptive pricks over at Capital One.
I sold this vehicle last week, and the dealership that I sold it to, paid off the balance. I spoke with Capital One 3 times last week, and told them of the pending sale. They, on each, DOCUMENTED phone call, informed me that NO further payments would be deducted from my checking account. Each of these filthy, lying, cunning bastards promised, and assured me that the scheduled April payment would NOT be deducted. While at Chase earlier today making a deposit (Thank God), I noticed that my account was unexpectedly lower. Identity theft came to mind. No, just an unauthorized ACH ganking from the motherfuckers at Capital One!
Now, obviously, livid, I called these pricks (thieves) and informed them of their con job (theft). No apologies, but a rude explanation how I can send in a «refund» form in order to get the balance owed on the overage in payments. Seriously? Yep, I have to jump through hoops in order to get MY money back. The process could take up to 3 weeks.
FUCK THEM! On a day that I feel like writing demand letters (a skill that I have nearly perfected years ago), I will write every agency that will remotely listen to my valid complaint.
