Today was not good! It’s 3:00 and I ordered a panini breakfast sandwich. The place is near empty. 20 plus minutes later, my sandwich hasn’t come. I go to the counter with my ticket in hand and try and get the attention of the female manager behind the counter… she snaps at me, «Give me a minute, I’m really busy right now.» I look behind the counter toward the kitchen and see three cooks standing around. I wave my ticket with the number on it. One lady sees it and calls out, «31?» I return to my seat. Several more minutes go by… a very nice young girl finally brings me a plate and apologizes for the delay. She sets the plate down and it’s the wrong item. I tell her and she says she’ll take it back… «No thank you. I’ll eat this»(scrambled eggs). She says«You sure?» I nod a «Yep». And… the eggs are cold. Major Fail. :(

Disappointing. Last night at around 7 pm we visited this place. The coiffed wS cool. We asked them to put it in the microwave to warm it up. A coffee joint shouldn’t need to warm up their coffee! The Asian sandwich was delicious. However, it was salty. We stopped in this morning to give them another try. Yep, cool and nasty coffee. Their chocolate chip cookies are Great. They have an extensive menu. The servers were great. All in all, it is probably a good place to try out.

Really bad portion sizes compared to the prices. The food quality is not any better than what you would find at Panera Bread or Jason’s Deli, but they charge more and give you very small portions.

This was my first time visiting! You walk in and order and they supply you with a number for food delivery! We all opted for the Egg /Pancake breakfast … It was huge! I couldn’t finish half of mine! It was about 8.00 per person … So, reasonably priced I think. We will be back … I gave it 4 stars. They give you a huge stack of pancakes and a tiny serving of syrup. So, we had to ask for more. By the time we got it. Almost all of our pancakes were room temp. Other than that. Now I’ll ask for additional syrup when I order!

First time visiting this location and was surprised the bathrooms were dirty. The sinks haven’t had a good scrubbing in a while and the toilets had dried piss on the rims. The floors were sticky, too. My feet continued sticking inside the restaurant. I almost left but my stomach said no so I ordered a bacon, tomato, white cheddar on sourdough panini. Thankfully it was good and clean. I think. Update: sitting in my car in front of Corner Bakery and a cook is hanging outside while wearing his disposable gloves and touching the plants on the patio. I hope he puts on fresh gloves when he returns. It’s like the TSA.

My wife and I love the Corner Bakery food. Nice and fresh food, especially for a bakery. The deserts are amazing, I would highly recommend the cinnamon roll. But the service at the location is horrible. They never make your food correctly, we are always missing something in our food. If you can hit the Preston location off of Park in central Plano. The quantity of food is greater and they don’t forget the ingredients.

Had the chicken pomodori sandwich and chicken salad sandwich. Both good. Lemon bars for dessert. They were mushy and the crust way too think. Wouldn’t get it again. The order taker talked me out of a side salad. Bill for 2 came to $ 26. A little high. My Aunt didn’t recognize what the«fresh» lemonade was.

A hidden little place off North Central Expressway & Collin Creek. Great food choices with everything from oatmeal(three kinds), to new power flats, eggs and the delectable and tempting options too. They’re not just breakfast either! Their lunch options offer something for everyone. And they offer your basic coffee, along with specialty espresso drinks, teas and soda. A great place to stop in and eat, meet someone, or simply bring a book and relax. The prices are decent. More than fast food, and less than a waiter service restaurant. For example, oatmeal is $ 3.99-$ 5.99 I enjoy the laid back, friendly atmosphere and the prices are low enough I can get something for myself and my little guy without feeling like a spent a great deal.

Hard to go wrong with Corner Bakery – great menu with lots of options, open space with good ventilation, plenty of tables spaced out(unlike the MacArthur location in Irving where the tables always feel crowded together) and the pleasant service mentioned in other reviews. I may have visited this place at off times but I have been surprised at how few customers they’ve had when I have been there. The Las Colinas location, in contrast, is always hopping but probably because of its proximity to numerous larger businesses. One of my faves for lunch is the combo with half a California Grille panini and a side of Tomato Basil soup. I’m not generally a fan of meatless sandwich but the Cal Grille is an exception in my book. It has plenty of substance and is loaded with grilled veggies, though it wasn’t as hot today as I would have expected. The tom basil soup is chunky with tomatoes and slightly sweet – yum! Table side service was very friendly as was the cashier but the latter seemed more intent on talking to a trainee about the mechanics of order than demonstrating good customer interaction. Wifi access and a large table were nice side benefits. I’ll be back. P. S. Update – wifi was very spotty. I tried connecting on an HP laptop, an LG tablet and an iPhone 6. None were able to maintain a signal long enough to do anything online.

It really hurts me to downgrade one of my favorite places where I have been eating lunch for the past 15 years. I have been to most Corner Bakery locations: Grapevine Mill Mall, West Plano, East Plano, Preston Center and the one off Belt Line. I always had the Santa Fe Ranch salad as this salad was excellent, all ingredients blended well together and the ranch dressing was unbeatable. I was shocked on Friday, May 22, 2015 when my friend and I stopped to eat lunch at the East Plano café and the Santa Fe Ranch salad had been discontinued and replaced with the Southwest Salad: consisting of Romaine, slaw mix, quinoa and black beans, cucumbers, corn and tomato salsa, pickled jalapenos and tortilla strips with avocado ranch dressing. And all-natural grilled chicken could be added for an additional charge. So we tried it. The combination of the slaw mix, the black beans which consisted of about 3 – 4 beans, the corn and tomato salsa(kernels of corn played hide-and-seek in the salad) and raw diced cucumbers added absolutely nothing to this salad. But the most offensive taste of all was the avocado dressing. It did nothing to enhance the flavor of the salad and had a slight bitter taste. The manager stopped at our table and we quizzed him about the Santa Fe Ranch salad and the wonderful ranch dressing. He informed us that Corner Bakery no longer served ranch dressing on any salad and the Santa Fe salad had been replaced with the Southwest salad. «If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it». So I guess it will be a sorrowful goodbye to an old friend and a search for a new café.

I haven’t been to a Corner Bakery before, but from what I experienced, it’s the equivalent of a LaMadeleine. I got their egg, bacon, and pancake breakfast plate. The pancakes were better than Ihop’s or really any other place for pancakes! The service was nice, but then again, places like this are situated for serving yourself. It’s a good place to meet up with people and have some good food while you’re there. I would recommend coming here than other bakery restaurants in the area.

My family and I frequent this place often, usually several times a week. I come to like Corner over Panera Bread because the portions are a little larger(not much), food quality is consistent, and most of all the Service. We particularly enjoy Micah’s service. He’s always friendly, takes time to stop and talk when possible, and has that old style hospitality that you just don’t see in a young people anymore. He’s the main reason we continue to come! I was very delighted to see the«My Corner» program launch, so regulars like us can be rewarded for our loyalty. Great job Corner Bakery/Plano…and please recognize Micah for representing you establishment so well !!!

Completely different experience from my previous visit! The place was clean, the coffee area was well stocked, and the food was freshly prepared and very good. The staff was friendly and polite, as well. Music was playing at a good volume — not too loud, not too soft. I got the Anaheim panini, and it was delicious. Also ordered the banana walnut oatmeal, which was also very good. A manager responded to my last review, and I ignored the response but thought I’d give the place another chance today. I’m very happy that I did.

This Corner Bakery is good! I signed up for their email offers and they are so worth going out of your way for. During Valentines Day, I got a coupon for 6FREE cupcakes! They were even bigger than expected, not small mini cupcakes. A lot of the offers they provide are desert-based(as in getting free whoopee pies or a free cookie). Other than that service isn’t super awesome, but it isn’t bad either. It didn’t leave an impression on me. Their food is good, though. I like to try different things/dishes so I don’t want to comment thoroughly on one dish. However, my favorite dishes are the pastas and I know my friends really enjoy the Chicken Panini! Overall, I wouldn’t go here on a regular day. This is a good place to meet up with friends because this place has a cozy, slightly Starbucks-like atmosphere.

Wife and I went there for lunch today. Very expensive for what we got. My wife got a crusted parmesan chicken and I got their turkey pastrami baked sandwich. Cost of the meal was ~$ 20. Portions were small. The $ 9 sandwich I bought was smaller than a 6″ from Subway and tasted about the same. My wife’s meal didn’t taste great either. Small bag of chips came with the sandwich and there weren’t a lot in the bag. Unless someone is adamant about us going there again, we won’t be returning. Simply not worth the cost.

Just got done with our $ 21 meal for two sandwiches and I’m so pissed. Asked for no mustard on my sandwich after saying I wanted everything else on it. Got nothing but mustard and tomatoes. I got the pretzel sand which and it was cold with no meat. My boyfriend got the panini and it had probably a slice of turkey and tomatoes(he asked for no tomatoes). I’ve been to other locations and had better food but this food is so overpriced for nothing. It was gross.

Stopped by this morning on the way to work because they were giving away two free«smiley» mugs to the first 50 in line. Very nice of them, and there was no purchase necessary. They even opened the doors 15 minutes early for the folks in line(about 30). The only thing that might have been thought out a little better was the other half of the promo — $ 0.25 refills for a year. You have to bring that mug in to get refilled. I get that they want the refill to be for a dining customer, but really who wants to be carrying a dirty ceramic(chance of breaking it) mug in their car? A coupon with a «no to go refills» disclaimer would have been much better. Still a 5 for service and the offer in general, but wanted to provide feedback that others in line seemed to feel the same about.

This is the Corner Bakery that started it all for me. I came here years ago when it first opened up and I’ve never gotten tired of it. Service: excellent, you walk up to the counter and order, patiently wait for your food to be delivered and everything else is self serve. But everyone behind the counters taking the orders is extremely friendly, I’ve honestly never had a bad experience dealing with anyone working here. Food: I always get the chicken pomodori, first thing I ever tried and I’ll probably always order it. Sometimes they make an excellent sandwich full of roasted tomatoes, other times they skimp on them :(The tomato basil they serve at CBC is just mehhh though.

The spinach sweet crisp salad was the star of my show! They gave me some creative dressing to put on top but I forgot about it until I was almost done. That salad was so juicy and flavorful that I — queen of this needs more sauce — never used the salad dressing. It had AMPLE amounts of strawberries, oranges, grapes, cranberries, onions, and goat cheese. This was definitely one of the best, most memorable salads I’ve ever had. As far as the rest of my order, I’m no Paula Dean but I can make a better lemon pound cake than Corner Bakery. The Pesto Cavatappi had very little chicken or bread crumbs and tasted mostly like really creamy mac n cheese. My loaded baked potato soup was really good. I have nothing to compare it to because that’s the first time I’ve had that but I did like it. Overall, the food was good but only the salad had that holler back! Service was extremely friendly and patient but they got the whole order wrong. For my order, they forgot the pound cake. For my friend’s chicken Cesar salad, they forgot to include chicken. I don’t even know what my other friend ordered but I do know she doesn’t eat pork or dairy and her sandwich came with bacon and cheese. Her receipt said no cheese plus avocado and she had a 4 minute conversation with them before ordering. Nevertheless, we went back later and they quickly rectified the situation.
