Awful service. Especially when communicating with Arthur in service department. Surprised they have him still work in service. Took this man a week to get me a quote. Scheduled an appointment, and when I got there he tells me they can’t do it.

Too bad «zero» stars isn’t an option…
These guys also operate as Passport Motors, and use this same shop/​address to do as little as possible to their incoming used cars. Thus, despite advising them on their improper repairs of the window regulators on our BMW, they refused to either fix, or pay a dime to fix, the massive water leaks which resulted from their incompetent repair attempts. Ignored phone calls and a certified letter, etc.

AVOID – neither competent nor honest – that’s as bad a combo as one can find. (And these sorts seem to gravitate toward the car business, especially here.)

I first came here a few years ago with my 2007 BMW 328i to get some minor collision damage fixed. I found them fair and reasonably priced, so I’ve come back whenever I needed anything outside standard maintenance.
I’ve really come to appreciate the professionalism and quality based on a variety of fixes to my car (rear windows stopped working, etc…).
Today finally sealed the deal for me — you can see the story from my other «negative» review of Firestone (who I had been using for standard maintenance) —
Basically, Euro Auto Tech folks (especially Sergey) are mechanics (like J. Glaser said in another review). Contrast this with service guys who have no idea what they’re doing.
If you have a car you care about at all — especially a European model, bring it here.

Passport Motors is the sales side of Eurpean Auto Tech which provides the service.
Called Passport Motors about a vehicle they were selling which according to Kelley Blue Book was $ 1K more than market price.
I called to ask what features made the vehicle worthy of a higher price point. John specifically told me it was because that’s the price they wanted to sell the car at. This car was a 1999 Nissan Pathfinder with 250K miles. I was expecting to hear something like the leather was imported from Italy or it was once owned by a Prince. To merely say the price was $ 1K above market for no reason was appalling and unprofessional.
This dealership does not care about your business. They are just a bunch of foreigners doing business in America and could care less about customer service.
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY — THEY DON’T DESERVE IT
Even the worst American owned and operated company is better than this façade.

I have a 2005 BMW X3, there is oil light come out 3 days ago, i went to this shop, the mechanician told me to repair the car i need to pay $ 952 dollar ($ 200+ for parts and $ 700+ for labor). I said i need 2^nd opinion, then they ask me to pay $ 95 diagnostic fee. I paid it and took my car to NTB for 2^nd opinion, finally it cost me $ 382 ($ 200+ parts and $ 150+ labor) to repair my car, and NTB guys just spend 90 minutes to ge everything done. The mechanicians in this shop is really not honest and you can not trust on them.

Just got my brakes and bushings done on my 03 BMW 335i and saved about $ 500 compared to dealership. Fast too!

Ever since Classic BMW moved to their multi-​million dollar facility in Plano, their service dept has become more expensive and much more inept. This is why I took it upon myself to find a good independent shop. Luckily I stumbled upon European Auto Tech, which is basically the service bay for Passport Motors in Plano.
When you call European Auto Tech, you will most likely be talking to Sergey, the head mechanic who runs the shop. Yes, mechanic… not a clueless «service advisor» who sits in a cubicle all day… but a bona fide mechanic who will actually perform some of the work on your car! His prices are often 40% to 50% off what any dealer would charge, and the work is done quickly. He performed one major repair for me last year (A/​C evaporator replacement) and I could not have asked for anything more.
The one thing I like about Sergey is that he will take the time to explain what is wrong with your car and walk you through the repairs. If you show up to the garage while your car is being worked on, he will take you to your car and explain exactly what they are doing.
If the job is going to take a while, they will get you a loaner car. At an indie repair shop, this is almost unheard of. I was given a 2001 BMW 740i. I know, nothing to write home about, but it was fun imagining what it was like to be a big baller back in 2001.
In short, if your BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Porsche, etc. is out of warranty and needs some work, I would not hesitate to go to European Auto Tech.
