Best place ever! Such good prices and the sweets are amazing! I live in California but this is by far one of the best places I have been! And the workers are very friendly! Highly recommended!

This place is gooooood. Toll House Pie. Good. Chocolate Pecan Pie. Good. Caramel Pecan Cookies. Good. The owner is really nice and friendly. Placed a phone order and they had my pie ready to go when I got there. Price for the pies aren’t bad either. It won’t be as cheap as a Wal Mart pie, but it also won’t taste as terrible. Well worth the cost. Will be buying more pies from this place in the near future.

A very charming place, an older lady came in planning to meet friends there and I can totally picture them having tea/coffee with the finger sandwiches. The cost of the lunch offerings might be a little high but given the area, the atmosphere, and its primarily a bakery. its fine. I think its wise for them to offer something extra that helps pay the rent which in Plano is surely high. We did get the Angel & Sand Tart cookie, and a vanilla petite four for my little girl since I felt guilty for going without her :-)

This bakery is wonderful! They made custom petit fours for a «Breakfast at Tiffany’s» inspired bridal shower that were not only adorable but delicious! Everyone at the shower loved them! Jeremy was incredibly accommodating and even made an extra one for me to have when I picked them up. This will be my go to bakery from now on! They also serve lunch and the menu looks delicious.

I’ve been here a couple of times. I have gotten their sugar cookies, apple pie and pecan pie, and their sandwich combo. Every time I have been there, I have had a pleasant experience. The man at the front is so helpful and sweet. I always plan on purchasing pies from now on around the holidays, as you can pre-order and pick up ahead of time. I definitely recommend if you’re looking for a place to get pies/cookies that are homemade.

YUMMMY! Stopped to get cupcakes for my son’s birthday, I didn’t order ahead of time. I bought three different flavors, vanilla, lemon, and red velvet. I also bought a few slices of pie(apple and cherry). First of all, I’m not easy to impress being raised in a town with a fabulous family-owned bakery. I’ve never found a bakery that even comes close … until now. The pie was scrumptious, both the apple and the cherry. The cupcakes were very good as well — the vanilla were my favorite. I plan to be back very soon to try their chicken salad, and of course, enjoy another piece of pie.

Quaint and classy little bakery with very tasty and artistic creations such as Easter cookies, southern pecan pie, and red velvet cupcakes. This is the perfect place for a nice girls’ meeting place. Family owned and welcoming to first timers.

Great baked items. Kids love stopping after school. They also are nice to stop in for soup and sandwitch for lunch

I was in the area last month and based on Unilocal I decided to stop over at this bakery to grab something for a dinner party later that evening. I grabbed the toll house pie for the party, a slice of the pecan pie, some cookies and a butterfinger cake. I thought everything was awesome except the butterfinger cake; though it was moist. The toll house pie is like a giant chocolate chip cookie, but thick like a pie(as the name implies :-p) and very delicious. The pecan pie was caramelized and scrumptious. The iced cookies were on the sweet side, which I love. The butterfinger cake was a butterscotch cake iced with mainly chocolate icing, over peanut butter and broken up butterfinger on top. Although I love butterfinger, chocolate and peanut butter I thought it was overwhelmingly butterscotch and not enough butterfinger to be called a butterfinger cake. I’ll definitely be back soon for the toll house pie, the pecan pie and to try a cupcake.

Had a craving for something sweet and decided to stop in. Cute little place with a nice variety of cookies, cupcakes and pie. I tried several items. Lemon cupcake(deliciously sweet with the perfect amount of lemon), cake balls(super moist) and the chocolate sheet cake. The sheet cake was my favorite– perfect ratio of cake to frosting and topped with nuts. I’ll definitely be visiting this place again.

My birthday occurred about 5 weeks after I was nearly killed on a motorcycle by a REALLY bad SUV driver, and we celebrated the day as my Birthday/Still Alive Day. We showed up 30 minutes before opening, but Jeremy(owner) let us in anyway. While we didn’t give them enough notice for a Chocolate Peanut Butter sheet cake(serving 40), after hearing the story of why I was in a wheelchair, at length, the head baker went out of her way to add a thick layer of Peanut Butter to the cake prior to frosting. The cake turned out beautifully and was about the best Choc/PB cake I’ve ever tasted! Just be sure to give them about a week’s notice for a custom cake, lesson learned. Thanks for going above and beyond!

Stopped by after doing a bakery search on Unilocal.I had a vanilla cupcake. Which was… Meh. Luckily it was only a $ 2 cupcake. It tasted like box brand. The service was spectacular. Very adorable place. With so many choices in the area, I just won’t be back. The turkey sandwich was bland and croissant tasted store bought. I had high hopes I guess. It was just lackluster. I didn’t even eat half the sandwich or all the cupcake.

I LOVE bakeries y’all. I love them even more if they are local and family owned. Don’t expect fancy packaging or customized decals; they spend that money on the food. The owner and her son are true southern people. He took the time to explain to me the different pies he had and how they were made. THEREWERESOMANYDIFFERENTTYPESOFPECANPIE. «Chocolate Pecan Pie, Caramel Pecan Pie, Pecan Pie etc.» I ordered a slice of chocolate pecan pie to-go.(Best decision I’ve ever made in my life.) I think it tastes best with a black cup of coffee. On its own the pie is sweet(duh), crunchy, chocolatey, and had a slight vanilla twang. With the coffee, it brings out the chocolate in the pie and balances out the sweet. I adore this place and will most definitely be back. Just a shame that they close so early. Be sure to plan ahead if you intend to come. Sugar and Spice is not a bakery you can just casually«drop in» to because of the hours.

My mom’s 70th birthday is coming up and I have been looking for cake for her party. I’ve seen this spot before, but I didn’t think anything of it. It seemed to be empty, but the strip it’s in is pretty empty. I am so glad that I stumbled upon it on Unilocal; I decided to check it out, and I am glad I did. The owner’s son, Jeremy, was awesome. He showed me several pictures of what they could do and shared stories of how his mom makes the cakes. I got the idea that they really put love into their baked treats. I bought a few cupcakes(choc/choc icing, vanilla/strawberry icing, red velvet) to try before I ordered my mom’s cake. They were moist and the texture of the icing was just right. I’m not a fan of choc with choc icing cakes, but I really liked theirs. It wasn’t too sweet. Another plus is that their prices are very reasonable, IMO. Just like the other reviews, I do wish they had a bigger flavor selections, but Jeremy said they do more than just the basic flavors. They have Italian Cream, Lemon Chiffon, Fresh Strawberry, and Carrot, just to name a few. If you’re looking for great customer service and good cupcakes and pies, this is the place in the Plano area!

So one of my bosses — a very important man at my office loves German Chocolate Cake. I googled and found this gem of a bakery. Family owned and operated gives it that extra special touch. Not only did the entire office love the cake — my daughters and I loved our goodies on the day we ordered the cake. Everything from handmade sugar cookies, to cupcakes to cake balls! Everything we tried we loved. Thank you for the great recommendation! And now I will also give my kudos! Thanks!

We celebrated my son’s 2 year old birthday party with his friends at preschool, and I was determined not to pump them full of sugary cupcakes. I’ve had lunch here before and I rememberd how tasty all the pastries and baked goods looked. I know, I had lunch there and passed up the sweets! How?! I called just in the nick of time. They had just enough cookie dough prepared for«that day» to make chocolate chip cookies! They were not only a nice size, so that one was enough; they were also so scrumptious that I nearly had to staple my mouth closed to stop eating them! They were a big hit and still warm when I picked them up! I have an office luncheon to plan… move over Jason’s Deli! Corner who? Sugar and Spice Bakery is on my list!

I needed some baked goods for an office party, so I circled this intersection after an errand to the post office, just hoping to find a bakery. I spotted Sugar and Spice in an obscure strip mall on the northwest side of the intersection and went in to see what I could find. Wow. It’s a cute homey little space with soup, sandwiches, and baked goods. The guy behind the counter was really nice and when he took an order he’d yell at the back, «Hey Mom, we need a _____», so it’s obviously family owned. The case was filled with amazing looking pies and cakes and cupcakes and cake pops. There were about 10 women in the place getting lunch or pastries, and everyone was so enthusiastic about everything. I got a apple pecan pie that everyone at work absolutely raved over. If I was only closer to Sugar and Spice I’d stop by here all the time!

Don’t be fooled by this hole in the wall Bakery. I walked in and was iffy on this place since it was very small. Ordered the Tuna Salad on wheat toast and it was amazing. My friends got the Chicken Salad and did not complain either. The owners here are really sweet. Its a Mom and Pops place. Their tea is really good as well. I will come back and try the desserts soon!
