Back In Motion

I have been using Dr. Asturius to treat my recurring back problems for a few years now. He is very experienced and knowledgeable, with a professional and patient bedside manner. He always listens to me, and adjusts by back and neck as needed to keep me working as a carpet cleaner. I understand he used to teach at Life Chiropractic College in Hayward, so I know he is very qualified. He also recently has treated my sister and niece – they were very pleased with his adjustments and help as well.

Woke up earlier in the week with a stiff neck and upper back soreness. Tried to do some self-​massage to try and work the kinks out. After not sleeping well at all for a few nights, I decided to give Dr. Asturias a call. He was very accommodating with my request for an appointment later the same day.
After filling out some paperwork, Dr. Asturias asked me a series of questions regarding my discomfort. He then proceeded to assess my neck and back and perform several treatments. Along the way, Dr. Asturias explained each treatment and what his objective was with each one. By the end of the treatment, my neck and back felt alot better! Last night I was able to finally sleep with alot less discomfort and pain!
If you are ever in need of a chiropractor, I would definitely recommend giving Dr. Asturias a call for an appointment!

For over a year Dr. Asturias has kept me moving. I spent years dealing with pains in my back, neck, and shoulder. I’d get a massage at various (and great!) therapists and things would not improve in the long run for those specific parts.
Years before I visited Back in Motion I had gone to a different chiro and had an ok experience but nothing impressive. I was mostly put on machines that did a lot of the work.
So when I decided I wanted to solve the discomfort in my back I heard about Dr. Asturias. I made a visit, he explained his process, and off we went. Yes, you have to see him more than once… it took time to get my pains to go away. The best part about seeing him repeatedly was that IT WAS WORKING!
I’m a dedicated triathlete. I train almost every day. Pains sometimes suddenly appear and almost every time I visit him these pains are treated and settle down the same day or a day or two after the visit.
Recently my back suddenly «tweaked» at work. Deep breathing hurt and it was difficult to swim. The next day I saw Dr. Asturius. He narrowed the problem to one of my ribs. He did some adjustments and I asked «should I rest for the day?» He said to go do my planned training ride. He basically said the pain would go away if I kept moving. That afternoon during the 3.5 hour ride the breathing pains were decreased to almost nothing and had no negative effect on my training.
He couldn’t have picked a better name. His goal is to get you back in motion and that’s what he does. His knowledge and expertise amazes me. Most importantly, he’s a nice guy.

I really hate to do this because I was very hopeful about this business based on their other glowing reviews, but I can’t bite my tongue any longer. This is frustrating! This is the 4^th time I’ve stopped by this office during their business hours, and no one was there. Additionally, I have called 3 times and left 2 voicemails and gotten no response. I am in the market for a new chiropractor and would love to patronize this business, but I have given them plenty of chances. I can’t stand this kind of customer service. All I wanted was information about their pricing and techniques.
I will gladly remove this review once someone from your company finally responds to my voicemails, or answers your door the next time I come during your business hours. I will only make one more attempt. If your hours are incorrect on Unilocal,then please handle that. It is inconvenient for people who drive out of their way to your business

Every time I come here I leave feeling better and more educated on how to keep my back muscles and joints healthy. Richard and his staff are very professional and always squeeze me when when I need a visit. I would highly recommend Back In Motion!

Dr Asturias is honestly the most friendly and intelligent person. He is so professional, while still making you feel comfortable with his one liners.
I had horrible hip pain one Saturday and was desperate for help. I asked my sister-​in-​law about her Chiropractor, since every place I looked up, was either not open on Saturdays or extremely pricey. She recommended Dr. Asturias and made a quick phone call to his cell (which he is open to in emergency situations) and I was scheduled. I loved everything about Back in motion from the second I walked in. It was cool, there was relaxing music playing, and he greeted me with a smile and right away started cracking a few jokes. I immediately felt comfortable. He sat with me for a short while after I filled out some forms and not only went into detail about his work, but about hi personally. I appreciated the fact that he shared his passion for biking and his love for family (wife and children).
After the brief chat, he went to work. He is thorough and meticulous. A master in his craft and a total gentlemen and family man. 10 thumbs up if I could!

Dr. Asturias has been working on me and my family for several years. As a professional endurance athlete and coach I desire a certain level of expertise from the people that I trust to work on me and the clients I refer. Dr. Asturias being an accomplished athlete himself, brings that extra understanding of how my body works and the specific needs I have as an athlete.
Dr. Asturias also works on my son who has sever CP and requires special attention and care. Because of my son’s condition, we cannot take him to just anyone, they have to be exceptional.

Dr. Asturias has has been a true (quality of) life saver for me. I had been seeing him for a while for minor aches/​pains, and had developed a tremendous respect for his depth of knowledge and skill compared to all other chiropractors I had seen.
When I then took a major tumble on my mountain bike, wrenching my upper neck terribly, he was the only doctor I trusted to touch me. I had been in agony for weeks prior to being able to come in for an appointment, unable to sleep due to the pain and intense tingling and loss of sensation throughout my hands and feet.
A short series of intense, but transformative sessions with Dr. Asturias, brought me quickly «back to the land of the living (and sleeping)». A few more weeks of regular follow up visits, and I was fully restored to optimal mobility and completely pain free. I can’t think of another health care professional I trust more, or that I would recommend more highly.
