Customer service is excellent. I stopped by because hobby lobby made a mistake with my custom frame order which had an urgent deadline. I left my name and number and he continued to brainstorm ideas of how I can fix my dilemma since it was too late to pace an order at any other frame shop. I would definitely recommend coming here, as will i, in the future for my framing needs.

Great place to get a picture framed… John was very attentive and tried to figure out all colors and angles for my water color. I will be back, and would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Yesterday i picked up a piece of fiber art that John and Jeanna framed for me.

Gregory Frame Shop is the best framing shop I have ever encountered.
If you are framing something you care about, Gregory is the place to take it. John and Gina are wonderful to work with and are truly artists. They really care as much about the end product as you do. It is so awesome to meet people who are total perfectionists and who truly care about customer satisfaction.
I had two very difficult pieces for them to frame. One item was a very large format artifact which required archival mounting, and the other a 40×40 inch digital image on a unique paper. Both items presented significant challenges such as utilizing the best mounting methods, and their sheer size. Nonetheless John and Gina worked with me every step of the way, listed out the pros and cons of various approaches (and cost ramifications), made great suggestions, and kept me informed of progress. I had one framer refuse to attempt framing the large artifact due to the complexity of the project. John spent over an hour with me (before I had spent a $ 0.01) strategizing the best approach, listing out the potential issues, etc and then gladly took the challenge. Working with them was a great collaborative effort.
The results were beyond my expectations. Really amazing work. I would not hesitate to use them again. Highly ethical, totally transparent, great craftsmanship. They rock.

What can I say… John went above and beyond standard customer service. He went out of his way (during a family crisis) to ensure that my husbands 25^th wedding anniversary gift to me was a success. We love the frames and would highly recommend John and Gregory Frame Shoppe for any quality framing needs!

Gregory Frame Shop is absolutely the place to go if you want expert design and craftsmanship in framing. Our son who went to college in Boston had a collection of 4 tickets, one from each of the pro sports team events he attended (Bruins, Patriots, Celtics and Red Sox). For Christmas, we wanted to give him an extra special gift and have them framed now that he graduated and moved back to Pleasanton. All of the tickets were different of different sizes and colors (and the Red Sox ticket was in poor condition due to rain on the day of that game.) The owner, John Gregory, took special efforts to guide me through the thoughtful design for framing the tickets. I felt that my opinion mattered, but more importantly, that I had a true professional designer who cared enough to help me choose the best options to create this timeless and priceless gift for our son.
I would highly recommend John and Gregory Frame Shop knowing that his customer service is superb and that he puts so much thought and effort into any piece you could bring to have framed. Thank you, John Gregory, and we look forward to working with you again on future projects.

Got our wedding photo frames and it turned out great! I was able to pick out every piece I wanted with the help of Gregory. He was knowledgeable, patient and wanted to get it just right-​which he did! You pay a little more than other frame shops, but their work is top notch and I will use again!

I found this frame shop via Unilocal and hoped the reviews would be true. My experience with Gregory’s Frame Shoppe has been wonderful. I love every piece they have framed for me. Beautiful quality and just beautiful period. But hands down the best part is the owners, two of the warmest people you’d ever want to meet and work with.

I took a Chagall watercolor to Gregory’s after visiting several other frame shops in the Bay Area, unable to find one that would/​could work with me to do exactly what this delicate but important picture called for. First, Gregory is a shop simply worth experiencing — gorgeous and delightful and with the broadest selection of frames that I have ever encountered, including some so whimsical and/​or beautiful that I wanted to plan my next art purchase around its appropriateness for one of these frames (Chagall was not it). Gina spent patient hours partnering with me to find the absolutely perfect combination of mats and frame. Today I picked up the piece and it is all I could have hoped for. The frame is lovely but not distracting and the subtle coloring of the rather complex mix of frame and mats beautifully sets off the painting and draws the eye to the lines and color. I could not be more pleased and would take absolutely any artwork to Gina and John.

You will love this shop from the moment you walk in… really beautifully decorated. Wonderful expert service. Remarkable number of choices for frames. Jeanna spent lots of time helping me consider the choices for an original watercolor I had an artist do of our dog.
I’ve had lots of things framed in many places over the years but this is by far the best experience that I’ve had!

Simply a stellar frame shop. John and Jeanna are very talented (and their artistic eye is very much in evidence in the spectacular store they have designed) and very friendly and welcoming. I’ve had many items framed there and have never been disappointed. A very high level of integrity, and they make certain you are absolutely satisfied in every way. Highly recommend!

If I could give the shop 10 stars, I would. I have been having art framed at Gregory Frame Shoppe for years and have never had anything but a stellar experience. John and Jeanna are talented, artistic, detail oriented and fun! They always have great ideas and also let you be involved in the creative process as much as you want. They are never in a rush, and their work is flawless. I’m always looking to redecorate so that I can take them something new to frame or reframe. They’re the best!

They mounted a huge poster for my husband, it turned out great. Gave great instructions for hanging it and gave us the hangers. I love the store; it has such a great vibe, definitely steampunk and industrial. It’s worth going in just to see the store. The staff are incredibly pleasant and helpful, and held on to the poster until it wasn’t too hot/​too cold/​not raining so we could pick it up in the truck. It was too big to put in the car. I’d definitely use this shop in the future, and will not be going to Michaels or Aarons for framing ever again. This is the place to go.

Gregory Frame Shoppe is, hands-​down, the coolest frame shop in the area. The shop itself is something to be seen and the owners are passionate about their art, which makes the experience really enjoyable.
We’ve used other framers in the Bay Area and are confident in saying that Gregory is by far our favorite. The prices are very competitive (if not better) and their work is meticulous. You truly feel like you’re in good hands!

Gregory Frame Shoppe deserves this highest rating, if I could give them more I would. I presented John and Jeanna with an extremely personal and challenging job. My father in-​law was a commercial illustrator with a large portfolio of work that I wanted to have framed for my wife this past Christmas.
The challenge was to select and organize pieces within a mid-​century modern style. John and Jeanna were amazing; they researched specific sub-​categories within the mid-​century modern movement and then began grouping the art work into cohesive themes. The attention to detail, artistic interpretation, quality of the work and the materials were best in class. I have had experiences framing other pieces of art and without question Gregory Frame Shoppe sets the standard for quality and value both in materials and process.
The most impressive part of my experience with Gregory Frame Shoppe was the level of energy and true excitement they have for their craft. They truly embraced this challenge and were honestly excited about the artistic aspects of the project. I was included in the process (multiple consultations) with clear communication and presented multiple options at every decision point. They guided me where it was needed, but I never felt pushed. The net results were 5 major pieces of art that blew us away.
Bottom-​line is that if you are in the market for framing you need to take your business here.

I have had many prints framed in SF shops and locally, and I can confidently say I received wonderful and quick service from the people at Gregory Frame Shoppe. I had two prints that I wanted to be put on a simple wood backing, a pretty cheap way to go, and they were very helpful. They kept the costs down, probably close to their cost because it was sent out, and I had the prints back in one week. They spent alot of time helping me figure out the best way to hang the prints, given the backing, and really gave me 5 star service. No more hunting around for the best price and service for me: this is the place to go!

I love Gregory Frame Shoppe. They did a great job for me. They were so careful in how they handled my art and how they chose the mats and frame. And they were very patient with me after giving me their recommendation, even though I ended up picking out exactly what they suggested in the first place.
Just to be prudent, I went to a chain store and, not only was the experience stressful, the «savings» were negligible: actually it came out to a loss because their materials were lower quality and the staff less knowledgeable.
I sit in front of the one of the paintings every day as I practice playing music. I am sure that the beautiful job they did adds to my continued enjoyment.
