After graduating from Columbia college Edwin thought he could provide a service to the comunity by developing a superior and more earth friendly way of cleaning carpet, tile and upholstery. After over two years of market research and additional schooling for carpet and water damage restoration professionals, Hands On was Born…

My toddler threw up all over the carpet in his bedroom in the middle of the night. I called around the next morning, and Edwin was the only person who could come same day (same morning, really). He showed up and was super friendly and knowledgeable. He also was very conscientious, took over an hour, and did an amazing job — the terrible smell is gone, and so is any sign of the puke. He’s got a customer for life!

We had really soiled carpets and after we recently dog sitting 2 dogs we really needed help. Edwin showed up on time and ready to work. He quickly assessed the situation and quoted us a fair price. He went to work and got years of yuck out of our carpet. The carpets look great and the dog urine smell is gone. He used all earth friendly products too which is important to us. Edwin did a fabulous job, our 25+ year old carpets look amazing and will help our house sell. Love that my asthma didn’t bother me since he doesn’t use chemicals like other steam cleaning companies. Also, he power vacuumed the whole house before he cleaned them. Wish I had found his company before! Worth every cent paid! Highly recommend him.

Excellent service. I have very old, end stage carpet and just wanted it to be cleaned up a bit. I received an honest opinion of what could and could not be cleaned, and received a very reasonable price for the services. The work was fantastic and turned out above and beyond what I hoped. The carpet looks better than it has in years. Edwin gave me lots of tips and friendly advice about carpet maintenance. I would recommend this business to anyone. I only wish every business had this much integrity.

We have had several carpet cleaning services in our home, none of them have even come close to the quality of job that Edwin did. Small stains that the others only enhanced… gone. Our grey stairs are back to crème colored. Our carpets were pretty dirty and Edwin tried to apologize for not being able to get everything out of our very light colored carpet. Seriously, I couldn’t tell what he was talking about, the carpet looks damned near new even though it’s more than 3 years old. It’s more than obvious that he is very critical of his work and it sure shows. Instead of continuing to search for a quality carpet cleaner I can now stop. Hands on Earth Friendly Carpet Cleaning has more than earned our repeat business. Thank you very much Edwin.

Edwin, the owner of Hands On, did an amazing job.
We have two dogs, which we raised as puppies, so as you can imagine, our carpets had seen better days. Also in the past year, both dogs came down with Giardia, and (embarrassing to say) had explosive poop all over. I tried cleaning it with the Rug Doctor, which only made the problem worse! All the crap, along with dirt from previous, came out and made the carpets look horrible. I tried almost all of the carpet cleaners in the store, none of which took the stains out.
When I called Edwin, he scheduled me within a week and arrived promptly on time. He is very friendly and trustworthy, taking pride in his work. When he was done, I was AMAZED at how clean it was. I had never witnessed those carpets that white! He was very efficient and thorough, with very competitive prices. I was also impressed with the smell of the cleaning products he used… no disgusting chemical smells! It was pleasantly fresh and gone soon after.

What a difference !! I’ve had my carpets cleaned every year or two for a decade now and NEVER had a clue what a good job was. I finally took another look at my dirty carpets this year and tried Unilocal search and found ‘Hands On’. Yep… My carpet is incredible now ! Edwin is a real professional. Edwin cleaned our carpets yesterday. He did an awesome job! He was very meticulous in cleaning. Not only he cleaned the tough spots but also he taught how to take care of the though spots ourselves in the future.
He spent some 5 hours cleaning the entire house, 3 stories — 3 bedrooms, living room and kitchen and tons of stairs! Each and every corner was cleaned with great care. The home now feels the same way when we bought it brand new some 7 yrs. ago!
I’ll definitely get it cleaned it again from him in year’s time and will strongly recommend him to my friends.

Edwin cleaned our carpets a couple weeks ago. He did a FANTASTIC job! You can tell the who ever lived there before were pretty rough on them. He spent a lot of extra time removing the spots! We have had Edwin out to clean our carpets a few times. He is always on time and his prices are excellent. He explains everything he is going to do and gives a sort of «diagnosis» of the carpets: where the big stains and worn spots are, what the approximate life of the carpet is, etc. He’s consistently friendly and helpful. My first experience was an emergency situation after our dog peed on our couch. He calmed me down and assured me it could be fixed. He was able to come out right away and completely took care of the issue. I am happy to highly recommend his work to anyone looking for carpet cleaning services!

Edwin cleaned our carpets when we moved into a new home. They were in pretty poor condition but even with natural products he gave them a new lease on life and saved the cost of new carpet for a while longer. He also uses corner protectors so the vacuum hose does not damage the paint. Pretty cool.
He is also clearly knowledgeable, no pressure, and does more than just carpet. Great because I loath having to call someone different every time I need something else cleaned.

I highly recommend Hands On. Edwin, the owner, is a very personable and knowledgeable guy. He answered the phone when I called and explained, step-​by-​step, his carpet cleaning process and how he bases his pricing. I made an appointment and he showed up promptly. He took measurements and gave me an estimate before he started. While he was cleaning the carpet, he noted problem areas, and showed them to me. He gave recommendations as to what my husband and I could do to keep the carpet nice. He also advised us about our carpet guarantee. One hour after Edwin left everything smelled fresh and new. My carpets look fantastic! We paid what Edwin had estimated — there were no add ons or unexpected costs. In fact, he gave us a discount for being a new customer! That means it is environmentally safe, and safe for you, your human kids, and your furry kids. Edwin was super-​friendly and conscientious. He also passed the dog-​friendly test.
