Hilton Pleasanton at The Club

The freeway is so loud I won’t come back despite access to the great gym (Club Sport), made to order omelets & smoked salmon breakfast and In & Out only 1 mile away!

I stayed here about 2 months ago. I was driving back to Elk Grove from San Francisco I was falling asleep & got pulled over so I decided I needed to rest. Over the phone I called about availability the girl that answered Jessica was super nice. When we arrived at the hotel I was greeted nicely. The staff was super friendly. I had breakfast free & all the kitchen staff was very nice & welcoming. The bell man was very friendly as well. The only thing I didn’t like was that the beds were full size in a room that had two & there are no refrigerators in the room. Overall I got great customer service & I was very satisfied with my stay.

room was pretty decent but a neighboor brought in a barking little dog! room service was friendly but not too professional.
Management MUST focus on the quality of the food they serve!
their food is AWFUL and overpriced! we had to send back an $ 18.25 waffle that was tasteless and had the texture of soft rubber! their orange and grapefruit juices were rancid and tasted like the cheapest juice from a concentrated box.
we end up paying over $ 50 for 1 omelette & two eggs with hash brown… plain, nothing special and OVERPRICED!!! not likely too order food here again.

Pros: beds are great! Staff t the front desk very nice
Cons: when your NOT happy you get a breakfast voucher?! It wasn’t a small complaint it was HUGE! Shaved pubic hairs in the shower on the TOP soap dish so it’s in your face!!! And my friends room had a bandaid stuck to the wall of there shower! Who is cleaning these rooms!!! I’m just happy that DIDNT get on me!!! So my advice is CHECK THE WHOLE ROOM before you get comfy. AND WHY do you have to remodel EVERYTHING at the same time? You can use the pool you can’t use the fitness room. I give 3 stars only because the bed was comfy

Amazingly, I got a room here one recent New Year’s Eve through Priceline, for like, hardly anything. Somebody must have cancelled last minute because the rest of the place was FULL.
Hiltons generally have the best beds … big fluffy pillows and a soft smooth comforter that you can really sink into.

The positive: best gym ever at a hotel! Employees are very kind.
The negative: Worst beds ever! The sheets are anything but soft. You can hear everything. The hallway is so loud, if you are lucky enough to fall asleep, it won’t last long due to others opening and closing room doors or someone above or below you using a bathroom. Since the whole reason for a hotel is a place to sleep, this place was a huge disappointment.

Stayed here for 3 nights on our Cali road trip around the Christmas time. Inside of the lobby was beautifully decorated for Christmas!
Service checking in and out was good — no complaints from me!
Room was very nice and comfortable. The only thing I wish it had was a mini fridge. I’m a foodie so I have a tendency to collect foods on my trips and I always seem to have leftovers. A mini fridge may have allowed me to give this hotel 5 stars.
Can’t complain about the price but I got the group discounted rate for running the Pleasanton double road race. Good location and both Napa/​Sonoma and San Fran were easy to get to and within an hour drive. I’d stay here again if I were in the area.

Other than the nice lobby, we don’t have anything nice to say about this place. The room was very outdated, which is not what we expected for the «Hilton» brand. The room had blank spaces on the wall where obviously they removed some artwork and left it amiss. The furnace closet door was popped open and wouldn’t close.
My sister was the bride and they were given the smallest room in the party and had to complain to get their room upgraded. I know she wasn’t happy with the experience either.

I come for rotary every week and the service is great especially when they open the bar for us prior to lunch.
The staff does a great job during our meal time but the only complaint is the food isn’t great especially for $ 20 a person

My budding romance with the Hilton has just fizzled like a cheap domestic brew.
STRIKE #1 — $ 9.95 a day for Wifi? Shabby, shabby. (Someone please tell me why this scam is not the same as the one Motel 6’s had at the cusp of the Wifi boom. Kinda smacks of Las Vegas’ dubious «resort fees» don’ it?)
STRIKE #2 — The Hilton’s decent buffet breakfast downstairs? Well the $ 14.95 cover charge vaults to $ 18.95 if one as much as look at the hot omelete from the resident hash slinger. O blimey Miss Slimey. Whut did I miss on my way in? To think I wuz dreaming of wafting across thresholds and living a life of conjugal bliss far from «Restless nights in one-​night cheap hotels /​And sawdust restaurants with oyster-​shells» ?(T.S. Eliot)
Oh my! Your loss Hilton. I’ve just signed up on membership with a competing chain … One whose attentions seem less crass … less shabby.

I came here just before the Good Guys car show– and grabbed a drink at the bar. Our wines came out and AFTER i took my first sip I realized there was lipstick on my glass. And it wasn’t mine. Closer inspection– both my glass and my husband’s glass were dirty. YUCK! They brought us fresh glasses… but seriously? No discount or apology or anything–
Pretty nasty feeling that I just drank someone else’s lipstick. Ew.

There are many reasons why this place rocks. The biggest one is Mansika.
Mansika totally handled my pre-​wedding potential disaster. About 9 months before my wedding, I reserved blocks of rooms and a deluxe suite. Then a month before my wedding, I made a very complicated request. The girl on the phone tree in another state confirmed that everything was in the system. I called to check up on it 2 days before my wedding and found, to my horror, that the reservation had been completely butchered. I called this place directly, asked to speak to a manager, and Mansika had me covered within minutes. Crisis averted. She was totally professional and worked miracles. I knew there was a reason I trusted this place over the Sheraton next to the Stoneridge Mall. Check out those terrifying, wedding-​destroying reviews.
That said, the rest was mediocre. The brunch was expensive ($ 20/​person for fruit and bacon), the internet was expensive ($ 10 PER DEVICE), and the TV selection was boring. But you can have animals for $ 50.
If I were getting married again next week, I would book with this place again. The food and entertainment may be lacking, but nothing beats professionals who can handle reservation issues.

I stay here a lot when I need to be in the East Bay for work because my office is quite close by. The location is relatively close to a Bart station and easy access from the freeway.
It’s right next to the freeway, but I’ve never had any issues with freeway noise. Maybe I just don’t notice?
My company’s rate usually includes their breakfast buffet. I don’t normally see anyone in there that is actually paying. I think almost everyone in the dining area during breakfast have those free meal tickets.
Room service is food is horrible at most hotels unless it’s a 5 star/​5 diamond hotel (and even then it can be sketchy). This hotel is no different. There is an In — N — Out, Taco Bell, Starbucks, Denny’s in close proximity with a few more restaurants further down the street (Chevy’s, Chili’s, Red Robin) and a whole shopping area on the other side of the freeway in Dublin by the movie theater. So I usually grab take out from one of the restaurants before I head back to my hotel room. Not only is it cheaper the food tastes better.
The rooms are clean and rather spacious. I was surprised this last time they had changed the TVs to rather large flat screens which was a nice surprise.
There is no business center here, but they have now set up an area right near the front desk with computers and printers to act as a business center now.
There is also the gym — «The Club» next door. I believe most of the rates include complimentary access to The Club since the hotel doesn’t have it’s own gym facilities.
Parking can kinda suck. It gets quite full in the evening time, and if they have an event there, good luck.
Overall though, service has always been great. I’ve never had any issues with the front service staff.

Great breakfast buffet in the morning all you can eat. A little expense, but the made to order omelette’s are killer.
Did I ever mention this is one of the best places to stay in Pleasanton… great hotel staff and convenient to everything!
I like staying here… close to everything!

This was my first time attending a trade show at this venue. All of the vendors had their little booths set up in the hallway near the ball room.
In the morning they served us Starbucks which was lovely. We had quite the crowd yet everything was very roomy.
For lunch we were served Boxed Lunches. I waited until most of the attendees got their lunches then I went to get one and all of the Turkeys Sandwich boxes were gone.
All that was left were Roast Beef and Vegetarian. The Roast Beef had a giant bread roll on it so I went with the Vegetarian. I think I should have went with the big bread. There was hummus spread on the bread that was so dry and cracked it didn’t taste that good at all.
I will say though that the Avocado was very nice and fresh. They must have added that last, thankfully.
The ballroom and most of the hotels lobby and hall décor was modern and nicely remodeled. From the outside you may not think that.
I enjoyed the event and would like to come back to another show here.

Nice rooms, pleasant staff, and a killer pool! The restaurant lunch menu was underwhelming, but the nice atmosphere, access to the health club, and great drinks more than made up for it. There’s a little mini shop with snacks and beverages by in the lobby which is nice. All they need now is a Starbucks.
I would definitely stay here again!

I stayed here for a wedding over the weekend and lets just say it wasn’t as grand as it used to be. Although it may be connected to one of the nicest gym’s in Pleasanton, the pillows had gross stains upon my arrival. Also, the shower head needs an upgrade… no water pressure at all! This place is truly just average.

I decided to book a room so I wouldn’t have to drive home after a reunion that was being held here. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable.
There was a problem that keeps it from earning more stars. There is water in the rooms, but at $ 5 a bottle we were certainly not going to drink it. When we returned from the banquet and dance a bottle was gone. The only people that I imagine could have accessed to the room were housekeeping. Did they come in and help themselves to the water I wonder.
The banquet food was typical banquet food I wasn’t expecting much and I was not disappointed, although the salad was very good.

I have often noticed that the elegance of the hotel is negatively correlated to the taste of the food. Hilton just helped bolster my theory.
I went to Hilton for an all-​day event. When I entered, I was greeted well and directed to the right conference room where the event was hosted. And yes, Hilton being one of those classy hotels did not disappoint me when it came to the elegance of the atmosphere and the manner in which the tables and chairs were arranged. Classy and professional!
The lunch buffet was neatly arranged just outside the hall. They had a decent spread — salads, fresh fruits, veggies, bread roll, rice, orange glazed chicken, fish and pineapple cake. As I expected, the food was a disaster. I went «Ok, I am not surprised; big-​branded hotels never have good food».
Why? Whyy? Whyyyyy can’t you people provide yummy food?
