The Martin Group includes, Sally & Kelsy Martin, & their transaction coordinators. Sally brings 26 years of commercial and residential real estate experience to the team. The last 18 years have been focused on residential listing & sales in the Tri-​Valley area. Sally and Kelsy have lived in Pleasanton for over 30 years & have an extensive knowledge & familiarity with the area. My wife and I worked with Sally to purchase our home in San Ramon when we relocated from Atlanta to the Bay Area in 2006…and then, ten years later, when it was time to sell that same property, we once again turned to Sally, who is now partnering with her daughter Kelsy.
We had vacated our home in 2012 due to a relocation to the Seattle area, converting it to an investment property for 4 years, before finally deciding to sell in early 2016. Hence, we were «long distance sellers», but Sally and Kelsy made it easy. Because we were located remotely, Sally and Kelsy coordinated a number of contractor visits to get the place in good condition to sell: painters, window people, house cleaning, carpet cleaning, carpentry, plumbers, inspectors, and so on.
Some traits I admire and appreciate in Sally and Kelsy:
(1) They are highly responsive by phone and email. Daytime, evening, weekday, weekend, they’re there!
(2) They know the local market inside out
(3) They give sound advice
(4) They made all the paperwork easy. .. when we got into offers and inspections and such, the Docusigns showed up in our inbox seemingly in a matter of minutes and were easy to navigate
(5) After other agents showed the house, they’d follow up with those agents for feedback
(6) They exude enthusiasm and high energy
I highly recommend Sally and Kelsy if you are looking to buy or sell real estate in the I-​680 corridor!

We found our first home with Sally and Kelsey’s help. Sally knows the area inside and out and was super helpful in pointing out both good and bad things about the houses we were looking at. They were very patient and responsive too. It took us over a year to find our house and we wouldn’t have found it at all without Sally. Sally Martin is amazing! I recently started looking to purchase and worked with a realtor in the San Jose area. However, after six months, the South Bay market was going up rapidly and I was going no where with that realtor.
I decided to switch gears and look in the Tri-​Valley since I worked in this area anyways. I was referred to Sally Martin and introduced to her daughter Kelsy as they work as a team. Honestly, Sally and Kelsy are like a dream team! Sally sat me down and gave me a two hour pep talk on how the home buying process goes. She walked me through every step, explained to me the different types of sales and the issues you run into if it is not a regular sale, and gave me in great detail what happens when you go into escrow, explaining each transaction down to the day you close. I swear Sally should teach a home buying class!!!
I had my eye on one townhouse specifically that was already pending in this area and for some reason it was back on the market a week after I started working with Sally and Kelsy. I immediately emailed them and they showed me the townhouse. They did explain to me that it was a short sale and that it could take months due to the lenders (I had no idea why my old realtor would not allow me to bid on short sales in the south bay, I was never explained why they are a nightmare until Sally came along and gave me the homebuying 101 pep talk).
While I was in escrow we kept running into snags here and there, Sally and Kelsy were in constant communication with me via email and phone. One or the other were there to accompany me during my inspections. They kept me informed, told me what to do, told me what they were doing, the best communication skills! The day before we were supposed to close escrow we did our final walk through and discovered that the seller took the fridge that was part of the sale. Sally was immediately on the phone with the listing agent telling her to get the fridge back into the home ASAP or else!
Anyways, two months and five days later we closed escrow on the short sale. Amazing? Yes. All thanks to Sally and Kelsy of the Martin Group. I can honestly say when I am ready to move on from my new townhouse, I will be giving The Martin Group a call.

Wow, what a great experience compared to when we bought our last home. Sally knows the Pleasanton real estate market extremely well. Not only that, but very knowledgeable on the entire buying process and helped us anticipate issues and win out without overpaying in a multiple-​bid scenario. Sally is a real bulldog who fought on our behalf with everyone from the seller to the lender to make the deal go through in our favor. We were thrown some real curve balls where she helped us come up with very creative solutions and workarounds. Absolutely no pressure as we looked over a couple month period and she was open and honest throughout the entire process. As a transplant from Los Gatos, we couldn’t be happier with the move to Pleasanton and feel very lucky to have had Sally represent us. Sally is exponentially better than any agent I’ve worked with in the past. I can’t recommend her enough.
Throughout the process we also worked with Kelsy Martin who was also fantastic. Great to work with, very responsive and knows the market well.
