Specialties
Paella del Reyes is a small paella catering company that specializes in wood fired paella for festive gatherings in Marin, Sonoma, San Francisco and the greater Bay Area. Using only the finest ingredients — from Bomba rice to Afghan saffron to Point Reyes clams — we come to your location, set up out portable fire pits then cook and serve you the best paella you have ever had. Can cook for groups of 40 — 300.
History
Established in 2008.
Tom Meckfessel has always loved to cook outdoors for large groups of people. Working as a river guide in Alaska he honed his skills cooking over open fires in all types of weather. Tom started cooking paella about 10 years ago for friends and family on the beaches of Tomales Bay and over time Paella del Reyes was founded. When not cooking paella for hungry patrons he is busy as one of the owners of Clavey Paddlesports in Petaluma. In 2013 Tom and Paella del Reyes was featured on the Cooking Channel’s Man Fire Food — episode «Mediterranean Feasts»

Business Owner
Tom was born and raised in Marin and now resides in Point Reyes. When not on the water surfing or stand up paddling he is one of the owners of Clavey Paddlesports in Petaluma. He has always loved to cook and grew up taking frequent trips with his mom to the «gourmet getto» to pick up coffee at the original Peets and cheese from the Cheeseboard. He is often assisted by his two wonderful daughters, Emma and Isabelle.
