History

Established in 1982.

We came from humble beginnings as California Automotive Export Inc. in 1978. Founded by Ernie & Veronica, this family owned business specialized in whole engines, cores, and engine parts exported to customers in Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa.

After many successful years in the export business California Automotive Engine Warehouse Inc. was started in 1982 to accommodate the local market.

CAE Warehouse specialized primarily in stock engine parts and machine work. Then in 1997 our evolution continued as we turned our focus to the high performance set and CAE Performance was born.

For the past 14 years we have built a reputation as one of California’s leading high performance shops for cars and boats. And now we are proud to have the ability to reach clients across the country and beyond with our online store.
