When I’m in Washington I always come here and get the spiced brown sugar iced coffee and a sugar biscuit. The staff is always welcoming and the manager Tori custom made my drink because they were out of the spiced brown sugar syrup and it was more delicious than anything I’ve had in coffee!

I really like Whiskey Gulch. Nice atmosphere, great location, great views of the waterway. Very nice menu especially for lunch. What I don’t like is how slow they are in filling the order. If they aren’t that busy they will take 5 to 8 minutes to make a mocha. Really. They need to speed up big time. They need to focus on the job and quit daydreaming.

Exceptional Espresso. Fantastic & innovative food. BESTVIEW on the peninsula. Also a solid and sophisticated venue for drinks after the sun goes down.

This place has the best location and the atmosphere inside is great. The food always looks great although I haven’t tried it myself yet. The coffee though is really different and I have a feeling most people will either love it or hate it. It’s got a strange flavor to it and it’s not their additives because I usually get an Americano with no cream. If you can deal with the strange tasting coffee or if you love it, then this is definitely the best place to go. Lots of room inside, great view, service has always been pretty good. Also has decent wi-fi and cell reception.

Fantastic coffee shop right on the water. They have amazing food, coffee and a great beer and whiskey list. It doesn’t matter if it is nice out or rainy, the view from inside is awesome. Super friendly staff and perfect atmosphere :)

Love their cookies, their crepes(especially madame: brie/baked cinnamon apple/actual bacon bits), their paninis(I recommend the Shipyard). They serve cold brew, and their coffee and coffee drinks are good. They also offer a small selection of books and board games, it’s a decent place to hang out on a weekend morning.

Had a beer and a couple of appetizers with three friends. Baked brie and hummas plate. The baked brie tasted like rancid oil and the humus plate was pretty much tasteless and ice cold pita bread after 20 minuites of waiting. I will never eat here again. My only regret is my drunk friends ate this crap and pretty much cleaned the plate up because they were so hungry, when I wanted to leave a message by leaving it uneaten. Its hard to stop hungry drunks. They will eat any crap put in front of them. But I would like to add that the music is awesome!

This is a great spot. You can’t really see it on the side of the road but it is worth coming to. The inside is amazing. Big windows with a great view of the water. The coffee is good, food is delicious. The outside deck is amazing! One of my favorite spots in Port Orchard!

I’ve heard a lot of good and bad about this place. So I’d thought I’d check it out. Really nice atmosphere however long wait times if you are not the only one in line. If there are more than 5 people ordering drinks in front of you get water other drip coffee. Actually you probably are better off with drip coffee in general. The drinks… Espresso shots are unbalanced and not dialed in. Milk is spoon-fed or comes by way of hurricane. Sadly for coffee, probably the best place in town(maybe not– see other reviews). And really, if there is one drink up, and the person is sitting down, while all your busy doing behind the counter is talking… bring out the drink, dont yell it across the house like a Starbucks bar. They have the looks of a specialty coffee shop, but really there is little going on here from the norm. Atleast the food looks like it tastes good. The view is the saving grace. But please get some Barista training, some cups, a real espresso machine, and some demitasse spoons for your over foamed 1980’s Cappuccino in your Walmart cup. I’ll take my 4 dollars back please. I’m going to stop by in a month or two and see if it’s gotten any better.

I try to visit local establishments near the homes I am showing so you get a flavor of the neighborhood. After my open house on Beach Drive E I n Port Orchard I stopped here. Glad I did. Beautiful view from the patio of Bremerton and the ferry. The food is breakfast and Panini sandwiches. As well as coffee and alcohol. I had the roast beef au jus with chips, but I replaced with salad with wonderful raspberry vinegrett. It was all quite filling and delicious. I asked some other guests and they said best in Port Orchard for casual dining, but not fast food.

I love this cute little spot. Every time I’m in PO, I make it a point to pop in for lunch. They have a good variety of sandwiches and salads & usually a soup of the day.(Today was black bean) On top of that, they make great coffee! Most of the time they have a good selection of cookies, muffins, bars, etc in their dessert case as well. Today on my visit, I ordered a half cedar cove panini with a cup of black bean soup & a 16oz(quad shot) Americano with flavor & cream. My total was about $ 10 before a tip. Definitely well worth it. On the other side of the restaurant they have a full service bar(where they host a weekly trivia night). I’ve gotta try and come out to experience that as well. Either way I’d recommend this place to anyone :)

I really wish the service didn’t bring this place down! Whiskey Gulch has good food/coffee and a gorgeous view, but more than a couple of times I’ve been left waiting for 20+mins before I get my order. Beyond that, I’ve repeatedly seen the staff be unfriendly or inconsiderate to customers. I painstakingly swore this place off after they did over 30mins of loud drill work in the space with no warning or compensation for customers. I hope they get their customer service up to par, because it’s a nice space and there are one or two competent and friendly standouts among the baristas!

I had heard good things about this place so I was excited to try it. I decided to meet up with a friend there for coffee and lunch; neither of us had ever been there. The signage isn’t colorful or large so it’s hard to see from the road, you could easily pass it by. My friend and I both are from the restaurant industry and I have also been a barista. I arrived about 5 minutes before my friend and was trying to enjoy the open/garage like atmosphere of the restaurant and the view of the inlet when the serenity of the guest calm conversations are LOUDLY interrupted by the barista yelling out a guest’s drink order to sequester them up to the coffee bar to pick up their drink order. It’s hard to tell who is a customer and who is an employee. The employee’s don’t wear a half apron, or a tshirt with the company name or logo or anything. I think it’s very important for a business to represent themselves appropriately to their customer and it makes a difference in an employee’s attitude. There was a large tip jar on the counter and a tip line on my debit receipt. What am I tipping forI? I gave my drink and sandwich order… the employee takes my name and says they’ll bring out my sandwich to my table. cool. I go sit out on the patio with my friend. I apparently don’t hear my coffee drink order yelled out but I hear my friend’s so we go together and mine’s at the bar too. I hear my name yelled out for my sandwich. Then I’m supposed to bus my own table. What? What am I tipping for? My friend asked for a grilled cheese with tomato slices added to it. It came to her without the tomato slices. When she asked for the tomato slices they put 3 slices on the side. Seriously? That’s how you fix a customer’s order? :( This food is not cheap. I paid $ 16(with a $ 2.50 tip) for a 16oz americano and a(delicious) sandwich with an itty bitty salad. If you can ask a guest for their name for their sandwich order it would be a better guest experience to get their name for their drink order and less yelling for the guests that are trying to have a conversation in the dining room if the barista could call out a single name verses«16 oz triple mocha blah blah blah!» :( While my friend and I were seated at the picnic table outside an employee decided to do a super thorough sweep of the ENTIRE patio(except under our table). There were at least 3 other occupied tables on the patio. This wasn’t a quick«let’s sweep up some food, wrappers, etc that are on the patio» type sweep and be done in 2 minutes this was a «press the broom into the patio floor as hard as you can and sweep every inch except under the guest’s table but right up next to them» type of sweep and take 20 – 30 minutes type of sweep. Thank goodness we were done eating and just chit chatting because I would not have wanted that dust in my food! It started to rain so my friend and I went into the restaurant to finish our coffee and conversation. We ended up sitting at a little table in the middle of the restaurant. Well, around 6−7pm or so there were several people(I have no idea if it was staff or customers or band people or what) who decided it was time to move all of the table and chairs into a different configuration. Fine but when you do this… give a thought to picking UP the tables and chairs instead of dragging them and gently stacking the wood/metal chairs because the paying guests who are trying to have a conversation in this restaurant can’t have a conversation with all the banging around. It wasn’t a little bit of noise here and there for 5 minutes. It was a lot and it was very inconsiderate. Please take thought when you are doing that kind of thing to think about how you are effecting your current guests. There was another table there with a large group of people who looked like they were having some type of meeting and I bet they were having a hard time as well. I really enjoyed my coffee, sandwich, and salad but unfortunately the ambiance and customer service didn’t even meet normal expectations so it would be doubtful that I would return. If there were only a few minor things that didn’t meet expectations I would try again but the guest experience was a 1 star and food was 5 star = 3 star rating. For me, guest experience is more important than 5 star food any day.

Been here a bunch of times for various reasons. A cup of tea while doing bookwork. A breakfast sandwich before meeting a friend. A snack during an open mic. A gathering place for a bunch of people to hang out in a laid back setting. Grabbing a drink after work. Every single time, the staff has been incredibly friendly. Service is quick. I have had one or two instances of being forgotten after placing my order, but you know what? I don’t care all that much. I love the setting, especially on a nice sunny day when the windows are open and you can smell the salt air. My only complaints are that they are a bit overpriced, however, it’s quality products coming your way. It’s not $ 10 for a pack of Oreos, y’know? They also seem to be out of a variety of tea flavors often(I don’t drink coffee or soda so tea is my go-to). Other than that, I’m incredibly happy to have such an amazing alternative to places like Starbucks where I can spend a few hours and not feel like the employees want me to leave.

Ventured across the sound and walked around and spotted this place on Unilocal.Checking in got me –10% off my bill. I ordered the Sinclair sammie: spinach, egg, arugula, feta, and sun dried tomato cream cheese on a warm ciabatta roll. It was a really good sandwich and I loved the bread; the ciabatta roll was fresh and crisp. It was a bit cloudy and cool on this particular day, so I ordered a cup of tomato soup alongside my sammie. Rich tomato soup with a little zing as well. If I’m ever on the peninsula again, I’ll have to stop in for something!

Lovely view, huge area for outside seating. They offer dessert crepes and pastries for your sweet tooth and salads, soup, sandwiches, and savory crepes if you’re wanting something more substantial. The selection of cookies on display was limited when I got there(2pm on a Wednesday), but I tried the peanut butter cookie and it was very good. They serve Mighty Leaf tea and have soy, coconut, hemp options for milk. They have a punch card reward system, but will only punch your card if you had a coffee or tea. The prices are a bit more expensive than average, but you’re paying for the ambiance/experience so I think it’s reasonable. They also serve alcohol, but didn’t delve into that. Maybe next time!

***MY100thREVIEW*** I am a seeker of not only fine coffee but the rich coffeehouse experience as well. I have stumbled into the latter nirvana in Port Orchard, WA. Situated literally right next to the water directly adjacent to the Annapolis ferry dock, the outdoor seating will engulf your senses in sweet serenity. Inside, the copper tables, gorgeous full wood ceiling, contrasting black menu board and walls produce a sleek ambiance overflowing with cool. The large roll up windows allow you to breathe in the scenic bay and tranquil rolling waves that gently break up against the rocks right by your table on the deck. They use Streamline’s rich and chocolatey espresso beans from Victrola Coffee Roasters in nearby Seattle, and I was impressed by the fragrant, non-bitter, creamy and smooth espresso based drinks produced from these beans. Their iced latte may have been the most well balanced my lips have ever touched. Their Madame Ackels Panini was a delightful blend of turkey, brie, and mildly sweet blackberry jam and their popular BlackJack Sammie was as satisfying with its salty/sweet 1,2 punch of bacon and maple cream cheese on a fresh ciabatta roll. Across the entire menu of sandwiches, salads, soups, and baked goods(all made in house), was a sense that the owners didn’t want to put out pedestrian goods but rather artisan handcrafted delights. Mission accomplished. Tori, the manager and who has been there from Day 1, runs a tight ship and service was as good as it can get. Friendly, efficient, and personable. Adding to the already unique construction of this coffeehouse, they serve beer, wine, spirits, and cocktails in the back corner in its own wet-bar area, most of which is locally sourced as well. It’s a smart business model as patrons’ needs are served around the clock. Throw in they play live music on most weekends, and I could conceivably live here. Well, almost. Cheers!
