Amazing food, quick and excellent service. The neighborhood restaurant serves classic Italian dishes that amaze you with excellent taste. Very nice atmosphere, modern, and the perfect Italian restaurant. Big portions like the pasta and linguini totally fill you up.

Eddie and Angelo and the staff treat you like family. Everything on the menu is fresh and delicious. Great atmosphere. Blackboard specials are always creative and desserts by Marianne are wonderful. Great restaurant.

We ordered out a few times but finally dined in today. A delicious experience for our entire family. The kids loved the pizza; there was burrata on the menu tonight; and the traditional meat lasagna was great. Solid!

We found this place by complete accident and it was such a fantastic surprise for us! The food is exactly what you want to be traditional straight out of Mom’s kitchen Italian food. The staff was amazing and the owner Eddie was gracious and hospitable. He made sure we were taken of and chatted it up with almost every one of his customers. We felt right at home in the dining room. Looking forward to our next visit and this restaurant will definitely be one of our regular spots!!!

What a welcoming and delicious restaurant. I’ve been here about three or four times and each time I couldn’t be more pleased. The food, service and overall atmosphere is just great. Their specials are always different, they can also make or prepare anything you want! What’s better than that? You can not go wrong here. The owners are two absolute gems who truly care about their food and are excited for you to try a new dish. There aren’t many restaurants like this that are clean, fresh, delicious, friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend.

I have never walked into another restaurant and felt as welcomed as I do here. Dimaggio’s is, very simply, the best.
I have nothing but great things to say. Eddie, one of the owners, treats you like family. The staff is attentive and equally as friendly. The food is delicious and very high quality. As someone who has some dietary issues, I really appreciate that they can customize just about anything on the menu. The décor is absolutely charming.
Make sure to get dessert and coffee here too; the cappuccino is perfection in a cup and the Nutella pizza is to die for!

I have been coming here for a long time and after meeting my wife, she has been coming with me and it is simply the kind of place you can eat at over and over and never tire of it.
Now that I moved out of the area, to an area that has terrible Italian food, I have really come to appreciate just how awesome Dimaggios is. I run over as soon as I hit the island to get my fix.
Eddy and Angelo are the maestros who own and run the place and have been at it for over 35 years. That longevity ought to tell you something, and when you see the same patrons visiting week after week, you realize that there is a good reason for it.
This is some of the best Italian food in a casual setting you will find on Long Island. Period.
Portions are good sized and everything is fresh and delicious. The menu is varied, as a trattoria should be: pasta, pizza, seafood and steaks are just some of the goodies you will find there, all with authentic flair.
So let’s sum it up: outstanding food, great portions, casual and friendly atmosphere and two hosts who take great pride in what they do: a recipe for success.

I was blown away by how wonderful this restaurant was from the very beginning. I contacted Eddie (the owner) about setting up a dinner for my coworker’s birthday. He responded very promptly and had no problem reserving a table for 9 in the lovely courtyard room of his restaurant. Having never been there, I was already impressed with the excellent level of customer service Eddie provided.
Eddie was extremely accommodating during our dinner. The service was excellent; the food was fresh, delicious, and made to order. He had a wonderful selection of gluten-​free options for those in the group who didn’t eat gluten. He went so far as to provide gluten free flours, bread crumbs and pasta for any of his dishes. Totally above and beyond any other restaurant I’ve been to.
The staff was attentive & charming, all my coworkers greatly enjoyed themselves. I asked Eddie if he could bring out a slice of cake for the birthday girl — instead he brought out a whole platter of desserts AND a sparkler so that everyone at the table could enjoy them! Our group was raving about the chocolate cake (including two girls who work as pastry chefs!).
For anyone looking for a place to celebrate a birthday or event, this is the place to be! They will treat you like family and serve you some of the best Italian food in NY. But even without a big event, I will definitely be coming back for dinner! Can’t get enough of that homemade gnocchi!

In town for a Saturday wedding so we stopped in for an early dinner on a Sunday 10÷11÷15 before heading home. Let me start by saying Gnocchi from Heaven! They are not heavy like some. They a lite and delicious. My wife had the Lasagne. Even better than Mom makes. (don’t tell her I said that) Best we have ever had anywhere. Top it off with an Expresso and a Tiramisu. Just an AMAZING meal. Eddie and Angelo both stopped at our table during our meal. Love the hands on attention to every detail. True Comfort Classy! Looking forward to my next trip to the area. This place is on my must stop list! Highly recommend you will not be disappointed!

This is a late entry regarding our meal ¹⁰⁄₄ with a dining group. We had an excellent dining experience from start to finish. To start the décor is adorable: the design in the back room evokes a cozy little palazzo restaurant even though the only natural light is a skylight. It was very easy to talk with everyone at the table despite the place being completely packed.
Now, the important stuff: the food! I did not have the amazing artichoke though it looked so tempting. I had the delightfully fresh bread that was so hard to stop nibbling on before having an old staple: orichette with broccoli rabe and sausage. My dining companions had a wide variety of freshly made, delectable looking (and tasting) items. For dessert I enjoyed the tiramisu. Both my meal and dessert were quite delicious. The service was also stellar: the owner Angelo came by numerous times to chat with us. I felt we were all very welcome.
Overall this is a fantastic neighborhood place. I would come here on a first or second date or bring my family for a special occasion. It’s got a nice authentic quality about it that makes it worth visiting.

Our dining group dined at Di Maggio’s, a great Barese Italian restaurant, on 10÷04÷15. We loved it! Angelo, the owner, was warm and attentive. He made us feel really welcome and even posed for some great pictures with us. We dined in the back room at two round tables for six. The room has beautiful murals and evokes a piazza in Rome. It has great acoustics. Even though the restaurant was packed we could converse without yelling. Service was outstanding.
Dinner commenced with a tasty complimentary pizzette. I had the Stuffed Artichoke. Yummo! Followed that with the Fresh Cavatelli with Veal and Peas in Brown Sauce. A Home Run. Finished with an Oreo Ice Cream Cake (Grand Slam!). Group members enjoyed the Antipasto, Burrata with (amazingly red and fresh) Tomatoes, Chickens Sorrentino and Francese, Mussels and Clams Fra Diavlo, Veal Chop Milanese and Tiramisu.
Prices were very reasonable. My great Vodka Martini was $ 10, not the typical $ 12-​$ 14 dollars as in similar establishments. It is also worth noting that Di Maggio’s has a private parking lot, just north of the restaurant on the same side of Port Washington Boulevard.
Every member of our group is looking forward to returning to Di Maggio’s Trattoria!

Great food and excellent service. I had the Baked Clams Oreganata, the Mussels FraDiablo and the Tiramisu. They were l excellent!

Been a regular customer for a few years. In a town with many restaurants this one is the best. Menu is great but they will make you just about anything you want and it is always just right. Try it– you’ll be back for sure.

I have been coming here forever. There’s a simple reason: the food is good.
It’s nice that it’s easy to get to, that there’s plenty of free parking in the lot next door, that the owners are friendly and the restaurant pretty. It’s nice they have reasonable prices, good specials and a solid menu. That’s reason for most to show up.
I come for all those reasons, but the fact that I’ve never had a bad meal here; that the food is consistent and good, that it’s hot when it should be and cold the same way. I have the artichoke appetizer and chicken Parmigiana 75% of the time I’m there. It is ALWAYS the same: delicious. Always.
If you like Italian like your Mama should have made, this is your place. I’m here a lot.

When we sat down the first thing our son said «This reminds me of the restaurant we ate at on our last night in Rome.» We knew from that moment that we were going to have a terrific night. Eddie, the owner, was accommodating and helpful, the wait staff was attentive, and the food was delicious. We were celebrating our boys Confirmation day, and DiMaggio’s went out of their way to make it special. I had the sea bass, with a side of escarole, which was cooked to perfection. Two sons had the personal pizzas and they said the crust was crispy and the sauce tangy and delicious. Another son had chicken parm, the serving was plentiful and he said that the chicken was moist and the melted mozzarella cheese was oozing with deliciousness!
For dessert we had tiramisu. My boys never had this Italian delicacy, but once they tried it they were hooked. DiMaggio’s recipe was perfection.
I don’t give many restaurants five stars, but DiMaggio’s deserves it for their food, their atmosphere, and the extra attention they gave our party.

First visit… Ordered pizza to go… Nice small clean and quiet spot everything was ok except for the fact that I was stared at like I didn’t belong from the time I ordered until the time I took my order to go… Pizza was ok… Of course after adding my Parmesan cheese!!!

Food is solid. Service is solid. This is a fantastic family restaurant to have good warm conversations in a comfortable setting.
