I love love LOVE Aaron! he’s reliable, makes great suggestions without being overbearing, flexible, and he’s just so darn down to earth and great with kids. He’s done 4 different photo shoots for our family over the past 2years and they have all been great (the first one was actually with his wife, who’s also a photographer). He’s not afraid to get in the grass or dirt for a good shot… our kiddo decided it would be fun to jump in a fountain at a park during our most recent photo shoot. without missing a beat, Aaron jumped right in… shoes and all and got some amazing shots. The other thing I love about Aaron is he gives you the pictures on a CD and all copyrights so you’re not stuck going back to him or a third party for your pictures. you can print as many, as often, as big or small as you want, on your own time. His typical turn around is 2weeks during busy summer season. I can’t express how happy we are with Aaron. I would give him 10 stars if I could!

So, so glad that Aaron was our wedding photographer. Through a long day, with multiple services from different cultural backgrounds, Aaron was fantastic. He put everyone at ease, took amazing photos, and was so fun to work with. Any time we need photos taken in the future for family events, I am sure we will have Aaron take them. Thank you so much Aaron — you made our day even more special, and the photos far exceed our hopes and expectations. We are so lucky to have had you as part of our day!

Beginning our search for a wedding photographer in Portland, OR when we live in Indiana was daunting, to say the least. Aaron made it simple and, dare I say, fun from the first email. He was so accommodating, even offering to Skype with us to get to know us a little bit better. Other photographers we’d reached out to in the research process weren’t nearly as accommodating. At the end of a Skype session full of laughs and great info on Aaron’s end he even told us that he is so passionate about his city, Portland, that even if we didn’t decide to use him he would love for us to reach out with any questions we might have as we planned our trip and event. Really?! How amazing is that?! We already wanted to be his new best friends, now we REALLY fell for our photographer. The decision was made and we signed ourselves up.
Cut to the wedding. We had a very small affair of 10, including us, but it was still like hoarding cats trying to get all of the family members organized and in one place. As soon as Aaron arrived at our funky NE Portland hotel he melded right into the surroundings and shot some fantastic photos if the entire family while my husband and I got ready for our big moment. He guided our caravan of cars around Portland, stopping at a fantastic rose garden for an unexpected photo shoot. Posed us perfectly for photos that look oh so natural now that we see them. Not sure how that happened, but that’s what makes him the expert! Aaron was able to capture the tender, loving and funny moments throughout the ceremony. And I have to note… we had no idea he was buzzing around the entire time snapping photographs. So stealthy!
As we were returning from our honeymoon, a week later, we had a fun blog post with his favorite shots and later that same day our beautiful photos we done and ready for us to view! So speedy and such an awesome way to end our honeymoon.
Needless to say, you’d be a fool not to select Aaron as your photographer. He was timely, fun and energetic, unobtrusive when necessary and perfectly charming the rest of the time. We’re such a happy couple. And also quite unsure which photos to select. They’re all so darn wonderful!

Aaron is an absolutely fantastic photographer. The best, really. As other reviewers have mentioned, Aaron is superbly talented, yet humble, fun!, funny, thoughtful, gracious, professional, a workhorse… in short, a photographer you should hire. In the eight months since our wedding, we have had so much fun reliving the day through Aaron’s pictures. He captures moments and tells your personal story beautifully. Numerous friends and family have said that our wedding pictures are the best they’ve ever laid eyes on. A journey through his website will speak for itselfl. Hire him. We are so grateful we did.

Looking at Aaron’s website it’s easy to see how great his work is. But I am so much more impressed now that I have seen the pictures he took of our wedding day. Of me and my husband saying our vows, of our family and friends, of all the details that we put together. The pictures we have of our day couldn’t have been better or more beautiful. He captured the special moments and made us look amazing! He would be modest and say we looked amazing and he just captured it, but seriously, he made us look like awesome versions of ourselves.
Planning our wedding was stressful because we don’t have a lot of money. We needed to stick to our budget, but everyone we talked to confirmed that photography is not the place to do that. I’ve muttered to myself and anyone who will listen many times, I am so glad that we were able to book Aaron and that we didn’t try to cut corners with photography. Aaron’s prices are great, and an even better value considering the amazing work he does.
Lastly and a seriously important part I didn’t understand before getting married, Aaron is really fun to be around. He was invisible most of the time, like a ninja wearing a cute outfit. He had suggestions to give, but never overbearing. The experience was not like the past weddings I’ve been in, with the photographer sticking out and saying awkward things to get through the bridal party and family posed shots.

Um… Aaron is amazing. Book him now.
From start to finish he was incredibly responsive, flexible, enthusiastic and fun. I am not the most photogenic person and he did a fantastic job with both our engagement and wedding photos. He has a gift for making you feel comfortable in front of the camera, making you feel like a super special bride, and also just have a good time along the way. He even helped with some last minute logistical issues and was a calming factor on a very stressful wedding day!
My jaw dropped when we saw our photos. Not only made us look good, but really captured the spirit of the day and some wonderful, brief moments we would have otherwise forgotten about. He also brought a second photog to help who did a great job in her own right and also ran our photobooth, which was a HUGE hit at the wedding. Multiple guests approached me afterwards to say how much they liked our photographers.
We were so happy to have hired Aaron and I hope to find an excuse to work with him in the future!

Aaron was great from the start. We met him at a local coffee shop, and from the time we spoke with him we knew he would be great to work with. He is very genuine, and down to earth. He was flexible with us on the packages he offered, and was able to work with our budget. When we did our engagement shoot it was 10 a.m. on a bright, sunny day. The lighting seemed horrible, but the pictures turned out perfect. Then on our wedding day, it was pouring rain and dark. Those pictures also turned out perfect. There is nothing bad I can say about Aaron. He is professional, courteous, flexible, and a damn good photographer. He was not pushy, and besides doing the portrait shots we didn’t even know he was there. Look at his website, and you will fall in love with his work too. It was worth every penny.

Aaron has a fantastic eye for photography and his style is pretty amazing. We contacted Aaron after seeing his photos of a Cathedral Park wedding in the Oregon Bride magazine.
He also gets an A for customer service. Aaron seems like a genuinely nice guy, and is very accomodating. Since we live out of town, he arranged a consultation with us over Skype. He was very easy to talk to, and kept us smiling!

Why Aaron?
From our first contact with Aaron, I knew we found our wedding photographer. His laid back, professional demeanor and positive attitude gave us assurance that he would be great to work with. This is so important as you’ll be spending a good amount of time one-​on-​one with your photographer.
On the day of the wedding, he arrived early, was well-​dressed and made us feel relaxed which made for great photos.
The photos
His photos truly speak for themselves, but the thing I love most is his great judgment for composition. His photos appear so natural, and he is really good at finding good lighting and making his clients feel at ease.
The timeline
Shortly after the wedding, a Sneak Peak image was available and got us so excited for what was to come next. Ten days after the wedding, a blog of our images were available. This was so great to share with everyone. I also like how the blog images built the day of the wedding in chronological order. Seventeen days after the wedding, all the images were available online for viewing, printing, and purchasing. About a month after the wedding, we received a DVD of edited high-​resolution JPEG images.
The prints
The prints we received from his website are beautiful. They arrived well packaged and individually wrapped. They were far superior to prints I have had developed at Ritz, Walgreens and Shutterfly. My guess is that the images contain a color profile that was calibrated with the print service that Aaron used. This is not typical with many online printing services.
I would highly recommend Aaron.

Aaron loves what he does and it shows in every picture. He’s creative without being weird. Professional without being uptight. He did our engagement, wedding and family photos. They all came out perfectly. Artful, unique, interesting photos that make it very hard to choose which ones to print because they are all so good. We’re going to continue to update our life events with Aaron from here on out. He makes you feel really relaxed and during our wedding he was so unobtrusive we hardly noticed him. He blends right in when he needs to and somehow gets these amazing close-​up shots when you didn’t even know he was in the room. Our friends liked our photos so much they decided to use him for their engagement and wedding photos too. He is super likable. Funny and smart. Good conversationalist. He really seems to care about getting to know you and understand what you want. He’s also great with kids. My wife and I wish we had a single friend to hook him up with. He’s just that good of a dude.

Aaron’s photography speaks for itself. You can easily look at how amazing his photos are on his website. I don’t think I need to comment on that, because it’s right there for you to see. So I’ll restrict my review to other aspects. We can call it his «customer service» if you like.
Firstly, his attitude. Some of the words I would use to describe him are: fun, easy going, kind, flexible, helpful, and willing. Basically… If you’re looking for someone who is going to put you at ease and make sure you have a good time while you’re having your photo taken several hundred times, Aaron is your guy. He’s easy to work with and so enjoyable to be around that we pretty much forced him to hang out with us when he wasn’t taking our pictures, just because we liked his company so much.
Nextly, his professionalism. He was always early for our sessions, diligently scoping out everything to make sure he knew where he wanted to take the shots and what the lighting situation was like. He had a blog posting with a preview of some of our pictures up in less than 1 week from our wedding, and the full set of photos on disc was soon to follow in the mail. I was really astounded at how quickly he edited our photos and got them back to us. At my mom’s request he did some extra editing on a photo she liked but wanted some changes on. He also extended the discount sale of our wedding prints to our engagement session too (another request from my mom).
I think that sums up the highlights. My husband & I joke that we should pay him to just follow us around all the time, because his photos document things so wonderfully. Also, his children are some of the luckiest in the world, because they will have such a beautiful record of their special childhood moments, like birthdays, first days of school, or just going for a walk with their adoring father. Okay, I said I wasn’t going to talk about his photos, but apparently I couldn’t stop myself…
