I am a kitchen and bath designer. Ensuring that your home reflects who you are and how you live is why I am a designer. I listen to your hopes and desires for your home and together we analyze and space plan + I develop designs. We select appliances, countertops, fixtures, tile, flooring, lighting, paint and architectural details. At the end you get a turn-​key design package that is ready for a contractor to bid.

I also can help you do mini-​renovations. Why not stage your home for YOU? We can take what you have and consider paint, furniture, lighting and accessories and give you a new look in a weekend!

History

Established in 2005.

I started my own firm — Abode Design — in 2005. I have won national and local awards. I love the independence and creative freedom. I learn more every project. After 7 years in the industry you can trust that I have the design and product knowledge to ensure that you will be offered creative solutions and privy to the most up to date offerings in the field.

Business Owner

I am an East coast girl originally, whose heart is all Oregon. I was schooled at the University of Oregon and then lived for several years in NYC.

I returned to Portland and pursued many years in brand marketing, honing my business acumen, but always feeling that something was missing. I studied interior design and discovered that I need that spark, that inspiration and to see it played out in my hands. Bliss.

Kitchen design was a logical focus for me because I am a fanatic cook. I intuitively understand how form needs to meet function in the kitchen.

I launched Abode and the clients have been there. It is a challenge — managing expectations, budgets and the high hopes clients have when it comes to their homes. As it should. I gratefully and happily accept that challenge and aspire to help them renovate their space so at the end, I can hear the words ‘this is my dream kitchen’ (client Mary Meredith — SW Hills.)
