Do NOT use Caseys Plumbing! Scheduled with them 3 days ago to have them come out today between 1−3pm, they call me at 12:15 and need to cancel and reschedule for next week because they have emergency services to do (I guess my kitchen ceiling leaking isn’t considered an emergency) for a lovely compensation of a $ 25 coupon! WTF?!? Don’t insult me! However, Brenda (the receptionist) in her pleasant condescending tone, offered that they would send someone out today if I paid their emergency service fee! WTF??? Please do NOT use them!

Some 3 or so years ago we found ourselves with a decent size leak and not familiar with services in the area called Casey’s. They were great, fixed the leak, my bill was pretty sizable so I was talked intotheir «Diamond Club» I could save 20% and the monthly «dues» could be used for any servuces needed again. Sounded great, however you have to be a member for 1 yr or they charge you back the 20% you initially saved. To boot, you have now accumulated a yrs worth of reserves, so if you cancel you essentially lose $ 180, but wait, you can use this cash for services, so I can get my lines cleaned maybe and use the reserve? You bet! However the amount they charge will FAR outweigh the reserve you have. Fast forward a yr and I have another leak (damn) they send out a guy who pretty much stood around for an hr, wasting my time and his. He tells me he’s pretty sure he knows where the leak is, but won’t dig until I have leak detection confirm it, so I have to spend another $ 350 for some guy to tell us exactly what the Casey’s guy said, but he wouldn’t even do a cursory dig to find out. So, I get to ise my reserves and spend quite a bit more to fix this leak.
Now, they like to tout the fact that you get a free «inspection» worth $ 294! Yeah, because their pricing is exorbitant in the first place. All they do in this inspection is try and upsale you things they can provide, toilets, water heaters, etc. Fast forward again, I’ve gotten new sink, etc. I know I have reserves so might as well use them to hook up faucet and garbage disposal. Right away the guy tells my husband that he can’t hook up the garbage disposal because he’s not «an electrician» and that our lone os for hardwiring, not just plug in. Ok, pretty sure if you take off the bottom piece you would find what you beed to hardwire the piece, second he told us they sell garbage disposals. So you tell me you aren’t an electrician, but pretty sure if you brought me a disposal from Casey’s you’d have been able to hardwire it no problem. All in all putting in a faucet and mounting the disposal (nothing else) cost me in the realm of $ 450. So, you figure it out. I’m sure I could have found another plumber who would have done these two things for much much less, however after the never ending cycle that you can’t seem to get out of with the diamond club, I wanted my money. I will now be cancelling my «membership» and will likely have to pay back the 20% i just saved. Well worth it in my mind to get rid of these money sucking leeches.

OMG. How unprofessional. I scheduled a tech to come out to my house two days ago. I was all set to meet him and then less than an hour before the appointment I get a call from their office indicating they no longer service the Vancouver area. DO U THINK U COULD HAVE TOLD ME THIS WHEN I CALLED 2 days AGO??? Man I am ticked. I will tell everyone I know just how unreliable this business is. Grrrr. I have had no water to my house for two days. Not like it’s urgent or anything. I’ve never hear of any business treat their potential customers like this. I’d avoid using these people if I were you! If Unilocal had a negative rating I would leave one.

Horrible Customer Service!!!
We received a welcome to the neighborhood magnet from Casey’s, so when we decided to have a new water heater installed, we gave them a call to get an estimate. I have never had worse customer service!
The lady on the phone was so rude! I asked if it was possible to get an estimate, and explained that the Home Depot contractor seemed a bit high. She responded with a «Well if you think Home Depot prices are high, then you’ll think ours are crazy». So I asked again if I could just get an estimate… and she starts «Again, we do not give estimates over the phone.» At this point I was so put off by her condescending tone, I said that as she had not mentioned not giving estimates in the begining, the «again» really wasn’t necessary. She then hung up the phone on me!!! I could not believe it!
We ended up installing it ourselves and saving hundreds!

DO NOT CALL THIS COMPANY! we asked Casey’s to come out to give us an estimate on installing 2 toilets. They cancelled the appointment about an hour before (after my husband took time off work to be home), then came out the next day. Tech was at house for less than 60 minutes, then gave us a quote of about $ 5000 for all the work he thinks we needed. Or $ 1000 for just the installation. We declined to hire them for the service because we thought the estimate too high. We were then charged $ 167 for the estimate! No work actually provided, just the estimate! I called the company and was given the explanation that I was paying for the opportunity to have this plumber in my home to give the estimate. Outrageous! I notice many similar reviews on here (wish I would have checked here first). We have reported the «service charge» scam to the Attorney General’s consumer complaints department (where they can actually initiate civil action against companies who engage in Unlawful Trade Practices) We encourage others who have been wronged by this company to do the same.

Sleazy experience!!!
I had a tiny leak in a pipe for my hot water heater for around $ 2000. Within 30 seconds, the technician tried to upsell me on the idea of just buying a new hot water heater. He also criticized how the heater was set up (which has worked for 12 years), all the while his body language told me he didn’t know the first thing about how to fix it.
He attempted THREE times to sell me other things than just fix the pipe. He never once explained how he would fix it, and would not explain to me how the company came up with $ 476 as a cost to fix it. He also would not give me a copy of the «options», which were all greater than just fixing the pipe.
So, I declined their service, and had to pay their call fee of $ 165 (btw which is fair, but bummer that I couldn’t get it fixed). I just wanted them off my property.
What a racket. Oddly, I used them once before years ago for a clogged toilet, and I didn’t get this kind of treatment. Although I did get pressure for me to allow them to «check» all my plumbing. Perhaps I avoided the upsell then.

Wow. What a complete rip-​off! My mother called to schedule a proposal to replace her leaking water heater. Vitaly showed up and in 20 minutes proposed three options: ‘Premier Package’ costing $ 2737 for a new 50 gallon water heater with yearly visits to maintain, ‘Deluxe Package’ costing $ 2052 and the ‘Standard Package’ costing $ 1557. WHY NOT JUST STATE THAT ON THE PHONE TO THE CUSTOMER AND SAVE A POOR 81 YEAR OLD WOMAN WHO LIVES ON A BUDGET $ 167 FOR A 20 MINUTE SCAMMING? The ‘trip charge’ cost her $ 167 for him to just set for on her property. And I asked him to provide the model number for the hot water heater and quickly Googled it. The cost? $ 562 for the same unit used in the $ 2737 ‘Deluxe’ snow job.
This company is a total joke and I would recommend running as far away from Casey’s Plumbing as humanly possible. They could live on their ‘trip charges’ alone, hauling in almost $ 500/​hr. I am in the real estate business and whenever a coworker or client asks me for a plumbing referral my response will be ‘Never– not ever– Casey’s Plumbing’.

I signed up for their monthly plan thinking I would appreciate the extra discount and to have some «money in the bank» for future projects but when I needed them they were not there. I made arrangements for my roommate to let them in and they were to assess three things; toilet, tub and garbage disposal and call me with an estimate. Instead they gave some recommendations to my roommate, didn’t call and discuss the issues with me as they commited to so I could direct how to proceed and didn’t do the work. Instead I’m left high and dry to figure it out on my own. When I tried to call and get emergency services in the evening the woman who answered the phone repeatedly hung up on me and wouldn’t even have a conversation with me about the issues. She wanted to charge me 295.00 for an after hours fee that didn’t include parts and labor despite the fact that they didn’t perform the job I had hired them in the first place and didn’t follow through on the agreement we had made which was that I as the homeowner was the only person allowed to direct services. And the worst part is that I should’ve known not to use them because the last time they were here (as Metro’s Best Electric) the guy «fixed» my ceiling fan only to then blow up the motor so I had to pay extra. If you’re thinking of using this company run! RUN!

I got a nice handwritten note in the mail… made me want to call for my «move the washer and dryer in to the garage» project. BUT they charge $ 77 (167 truck fee, $ 90 refundable if the work is done that day) JUST to tell you how much your project will cost… THAT IS INSANE. Refused to give any type of range… So let’s say my project ends up being WAY out of my budget… I have to pay $ 167 just to find that out… Needless to say there are MANY other cos that give FREE estimates and one of them will get my business. It’s too bad they wouldn’t try to just be a little, tiny bit more helpful.

HORRIBLE!!! I’ve used them before and went with the reviews in Angie’s List. DUMB DUMB DUMB. not sure what has changed, but the change is not good at all.
i called them to fix a clogged kitchen sink. no big deal, right??? with casey’s it sure is!
they were supposed to be here between 1:30 — 3:30. at 4:20, i called them to find out where they were and got their «emergency answering service», as dispatch had gone home for the day. the plumber pulled up five minutes later and sat in his truck for 25 minutes, while we watched, waiting for him to fix our sink.
he looked at the kitchen sink for two minutes, not even asking me what was wrong or how long it was clogged. he then wanted $ 405 to unclog my kitchen sink!!! he claimed he had to re-​pipe for the plumber’s «safety». he said that it was their policy and he wouldn’t unclog unless i approved the work. i did NOT approve it. this was after i had to bring my «diamond club» membership up to date to a tune of $ 100 before they would come. so now i’m out $ 164 ($ 64 that was in my account plus the $ 100 i gave them before they would come), spent half a day of waiting, and still a clogged kitchen sink.
i was also required to let him do an «annual inspection» or they would charge me a «dispatch fee» for the call. the guy didn’t even show me the results, after i had to let him roam through my house on his own. he just wrote down that i saved $ 294. i will NEVER use them again!
when he was done, after an hour of his «inspection» and trying unsuccessfully to convince us that we needed this work done, he gave me a comment card. he said i was required to complete it, with him standing over me, to put in a plain white envelope and return to him, right there!

Roto-​Rooter came today and did the job for $ 175. took care of it in 20 minutes. he said my pipes were fine. he didn’t try to up-​sell anything. did the job and left.

I had work done on two sinks… the first sink was done and it works but it was outrageously priced. Casey’s «price per job» (not the time it takes to fix it whether it is 1 hour or 5 hours), sounds good on paper but ends up being a complete rip off! Each «job» turns into several separate jobs and each job is priced higher than the time would have cost. My second sink however did not work after the first «job» was done and the next job, to fix the leak, was quoted at $ 350. We said no thank you, after paying $ 500 for about an hours worth of work and called Craig Anderson Plumbing and it cost $ 130 they were professional and did not try to get us to fix things that weren’t wrong.

I have used Casey’s Plumbing on three separate occasions: to install a new water heater, to install new water pipes from the street to my house, and to help fix the water pressure in my kitchen and the kitchen faucet. All three times they provided nothing but the highest quality service and professionalism.
I was worried when my front yard had to be dug up to install new pipe, but Casey’s plumbers, used the least invasive method and cleaned up so meticulously, that I could not even tell my yard had been dug up.
The plumbers throughly inspected the water pressure in my house and the kitchen faucet before discussing the problem and possible solutions. The plumber showed me how to put my faucet back together and install it correctly. He also suggested repairs I could do on my own by getting a part at Home Depot.
The other thing I really appreciate about this business is that they other weekend visits with no additonal charge. I cannot leave work during the week, so their weekend hours and rates are much appreciated.
I am surprised people have complained at all about this company and their prices. You get what you pay for. I think of it as the difference between going to Best Cuts for a $ 12 haircut or going to a salon for a $ 40 cut by a professional, well-​trained, hair artist. I choose professional, trained plumbers to work on my house.

BUYER BEWARE!
I called Casey’s to unclog a bathroom sink. They changed me $ 250 to have it snaked AND after their «safety» check told me there was an additional $ 5000 worth of work that was urgently needed.
I called two other plumbers for estimates and both of them came in at under $ 1000.
If you need a plumber, find Nick the Plumber. He did the work and was totally awesome. Didn’t try to fleece me, was clean, courteous, and his work is great.

Lesson learned: ALWAYS get an estimate before you get the work done. always always get two or three bids.
I always did it before– but never had to w/​plumbers.
Casey’s is expensive. but since I did not get other estimates– maybe they are competitive.

4 plumber arrived on agreed time
5 plumber was clean and polite and put on paper booties
6 plumber used his own rug in front of sink for all tools, rags and equipment
7 plumber gave estimate before starting work (and gave me chance to refuse price)
8 owner responded when I had a problem next day
9 owner came to house himself
10 second plumber came and fixed problem w/​no charge
11 owner called to make sure I was «happy.»
well– I was «satisfied». but having paid about $ 800 smackers to fix 3 smallish plumbing problems– I was glad they were fixed –but I still felt stupid for not getting another bid. and I am not happy when I feel stupid.
