We dined again at Abra. The food, while OK, is no longer anything special, our meals tonight certainly not worthy of recommendation. Apparently the chef for whom we gave such a good review has departed and now works at the Portland City Grill. Too bad for Abra!

My daughters and I ate at Abra tonight to celebrate my birthday. It was nice to be able to sit outside and enjoy the evening. We started with the meatballs and foccacia. Delicious! For dinner we ordered two pizzas and lasagna and it was all very good! The restaurant was clean and welcoming. Our waiter was fantastic! He was there when we needed him – always with a smile. The chef came out to let me know he had some fresh tomatoes from a local farmer and asked if I’d like him to add some to my pesto pizza. How’s that for service?! I’ll definitely be back to enjoy more of their delicious food!

Nice, clean atmosphere. The staff was very friendly. The food was delicious. I ordered the fennel sausage pizza. It had fresh mozzarella and the crust was thin and almost tasted wood fired. It was light but very flavorful. The portions were perfect. The pesto gnocchi had just the right amount of basil. We tried a tiramisu on the house since we are residents of the building. This is definitely a must try. They have great happy hour specials. We will be back!
