Aspire Dental

So far, so good! I have a busted filling that hurts like heck, and have been scheduled quickly and kindly. She even put me on a list in case of any cancellations. After one botched dentist appointment in the past at a different Dentist, I can already tell this is going to be a good experience here.

No one ever really looks forward to going to the dentist, even with sparkly clean perfect teeth. There are people poking in your mouth, bright lights in your eyes, and the sound of tiny power tools buzzing either right by your face or off in the distance. You end up with slightly chapped lips, awkward conversations while someone’s scraping something off your teeth. Well, you know, you’ve been to the dentist (I hope).
Everyone at Aspire was friendly, smiling, and cheerful, and it seemed like they actually enjoyed their jobs. Facilities are small but clean, and located conveniently close to downtown. I will return (but hopefully not until my scheduled 6 month checkup).

Clean, brightly lit and comfortable interior space. Staff, hygienist and dentist all very friendly and accommodating. Avoided having to take my x-​rays and get billed as they were more than willing to get them from my last dentist.
Thorough cleaning and analysis of my dental history, asked if I experienced pain multiple times throughout the cleaning session to make sure I was comfortable. Explained what was going on during the session so I could ask questions and be fully aware of the process. They used some modern cleaning tech that I had not seen before.
They offer you services that may not be covered by your insurance but articulate it upfront so there is no pressure to say yes. Got a free whitening pen as a new patient.
Convenient location is a plus. Also dentist gave me heads up about lack of fluoride in Portland water system and how to prevent cavities as she asked and discovered that I grew up in the Midwest.
A+, all set up to see them again in 6 months.

I have been going here for a number of years. The staff are friendly. The location is good — convenient transit downtown obviously, and they also validate Smart Park across the street if you need to drive in. I’ve never had to wait long, and their hours are pretty convenient (including mornings, in case you want to get in before work). All in all I recommend them.
The current dentist bought the practice maybe 2 years ago or so. She seems competent, and works well with her hygienists.
I took one star off because I feel just slightly uncomfortable with the optional products/​services that they usually offer every visit. For example they usually offer a special fluoride treatment, or would love to sell you an electric toothbrush. It isn’t a problem to say ‘no’, but I think it does take something small away from the relationship.

Everything about Aspire Dental is great! I ADORE the online option to schedule, so fast and easy. I have major dental anxiety; everyone there was so sensitive and caring. My cleaning went so fast and was very informative. The team there really wanted to get to know me as a person, not just a set of teeth. I have already recommended Aspire to all my friends and family! Can’t wait to see you ladies in 6 months!

This was my the best dental experience by far! The staff was very friendly and provided clear explanations of what was happening during the appointment. I felt comfortable asking a lot of questions. I appreciated that a thorough medical history was taken. Tasha was a great dental hygienist — amiable, competent and observant. Dr. Lisa was great too. I didnt feel like services were forced on me and appreciated that I was given options on how to follow up my care. GO HERE!

I think it can be annoying when the hygienist is cleaning your teeth and asking you a million questions — umm, hello, my mouth is wide open i can’t talk, please don’t think we can have a 2 way conversation!
— Dr Kakishita was fantastic — gave me options, explained upsides and downsides of certain procedures and treatment options; I felt educated about my options and didn’t feel pressured to do anything.
— Got a free sonicare toothbrush for my first visit, not sure how long this promo is running for, but it was a definite plus!

This place is so great… Uh, you know, for a Dentist’s office. From the Front Desk staff, to the Hygentists to the Doctor herself, really top notch people. They are almost overly concerned with your comfort and pain level while in the chair. Each chair has heat and massage, the doctor is knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend Dr. DeAngelis Morris and her staff!

I typically dread dental appointments, but found my visit to Aspire Dental actually enjoyable. I’m new to town and chose Aspire Dental based upon online reviews. First, the office is the most aesthetically pleasing I’ve visited. Second, my dental hygienist was fantastic — very friendly, explained everything, bent over backward to make me feel comfortable. Third, Dr. D’Angelis-Morris was warm, entirely competent /​thorough /​professional, and yet chatted to me as though we were old friends. Overall, it was a lovely experience.
Another plus: the office uses digital x-​ray technology, which made x-​rays SO much easier than my previous experience with painfully pointy bite wings that triggered my gag reflex. My hygienist was so kind and did everything possible to work with me so that I could be x-​rayed without gagging or general discomfort.
I highly recommend Dr. D’Angelis-Morris and her staff!
