At Back to Eden Bakery you will find an array of treats free of all animal ingredients and everything is gluten-free. There’s an ever-changing menu of cakes, cookies, muffins, scones, pies, tarts and more. We use nearly all organic ingredients and source from local vendors whenever possible. In addition to our sweeter options you can also find a savory tart or individual-sized quiche as well as fresh green salads and house-made soups and chili.
We feature Chicago Vegan Food’s Temptation soft serve with two flavors or a twist served on a cone or in a bowl with your favorite toppings. We also have four flavors of Larry & Luna’s Coconut Bliss by the scoop. You can use either soft serve or Coconut Bliss to make a milkshake, sundae or a banana split.

Back to Eden Bakery aims to nourish the Portland community by providing fresh and tasty organic treats that show just how delicious vegan can be. A small batch bakery, every treat is handcrafted with care and baked with love.
Meet the Business Owner
Garrett J. and John B.
Business Owner
Co-owned and operated, Garrett Jones is the Executive Chef and creative mastermind behind all the delicious treats you’ll find in our pastry cases. Completely self-taught and inspired by the many different and delicious ways a vegan lifestyle can enrich our lives, Garrett sees the bakery as the perfect outlet for recreating classic desserts with a modern, food conscious sensibility. Co-owner and General Manager is Garrett’s partner, John Blomgren, working behind the scenes to get these love-filled 100% vegan gluten-free creations out to the masses.
Our mission in both business and in life is to refine our own sustainable relationship with this planet and minimize our footprint wherever possible.
