I moved into these apartments in 2009, lived there for 6 years, and loved every minute. It was perfect for a poor college student trying to get a start. The apartments are spacious and receive plenty of light. I can understand the previous review that had trouble contacting management back in 2011, seeing as they made changes in staff because of that. When I left Beth was running the office and she was AMAZING!!! I also appreciated Eliado & Dan who work on maintenance, and Julie Anne who also works in the office. They respond quickly and try and work with you, especially when you have neighbors who complain about the weirdest things, or your disposal isn’t working. The location is amazing with everything’s close by, including the Hawethorne district. And I can’t forget to mention they are dog friendly, with a deposit of course.

I’ve lived in their lofts for a year. GREAT location, right on Belmont with everything you need just a few feet out your door. The management team here is fantastic… clean building, very responsive and a clean, well-kept building. If it weren’t for the fact that I have a new house now, I’d stick around.

My son and I have lived here for 4 years in a 1,000 sqft 2-bedroom. I keep thinking we will leave for a house and a yard, but the location is too fabulous and I can’t find rent that’s comprable in this neighborhood. We’ve definitely become attached to the Belmont and Hawthorne and Laurelhurst and Sunnyside and Stumptown and Zupan’s. It’s lifestyle that feels hard to give up. Our apartment has high ceilings, lots of closet space, and so much light. Every time I’ve needed something fixed the maintenance crew is on it within 24 hours. Of course there are downsides to apartment living and Guardian Real Estate Services is as corporate as it gets, which is gross. Yes, the tax credit paperwork can be a pain in the ass, but as with any low income allowance jumping through the hoops is worth the hassle.

I wish I could actually review based on our experience living in the building but unfortunately three voicemail messages, an email, and message to the account exec over the building– have yet to yield a single phone call or email back to me regarding my request for information. Incredibly unprofessional. If a simple request can’t be addressed prior to even living there, I can’t imagine how the building must be managed while occupied. Sad and disappointing to say the least. **The one star is simply because it would not allow me to not enter any.

This apartment building is great. The location is perfect, Zupans on the first floor and plenty of great Happy Hour Bars within a block. It’s one of the few«dog-friendly» buildings in town. Yes, it is a big building, so sometimes parking can be a bit of a hassle… but overall I have really loved living here. The units are big, the building is nice and quiet, and anytime I have had any maintenance issue-they are on top of it ASAP. I highly recommend living here if you want a chill, quiet, in-the-heart-of-everything, dog-friendly apartment. Yes, there is a ton of paperwork to get in the building. but worth it.

The Belmont Dairy is nestled in the heart of the Belmont neighborhood less than 2 miles from downtown. It is close to a wide variety of restaurant and drinking establishments and conveniently sitting on top of one of my favorite grocery stores, Zupans. For the most part, you can live here and enjoy most of what SE Portland has to offer without ever getting into your car. Simply said, if you want a modern apartment n a great neighborhood, you should check out the Dairy. I have lived in a lot of apartments in my life and I think these are among the best. The units are large, clean and well taken care of and the management here is excellent. They are very responsive with maintenance requests and/or complaints and they do a great job of making you feel at home.
