I feel and look the way I have always dreamed thanks to Dr. Bensimon! I had 3 children by cesarean sections which wreaked havoc on my body. I initially met with Dr. Bensimon to discuss a «mommy makeover» (which in my mind was a breast augmentation and a tummy tuck). Dr. Bensimon suggested a cesarean scar revision, abdominal liposuction, and the breast augmentation. The surgery and recovery went very well. I was back at work in 5 days. The lipo healing process took about 2 months but it was worth it.
I am a changed woman. I have a flat stomach now and breasts the size that better balance the shape of my body. I feel amazing and have more self confidence than I have ever had. I highly recommend Dr. Bensimon and his staff. They really listen and the results are amazing, speaking from experience!

Very impressed with results of Dr. Bensimone’s skincare line. Easy to use, and has decreased acne, fine lines AND pore size. Believe me: I’ve tried all the other medical-​grade and expensive over-​the-​counter products that promise the world, but BensiSkin actually delivers.

In going to Dr. Bensimon I was quite nervous at first, but put to ease instantly with his team: Andrea, Jessica, Luda, Mayra, and Rachel I couldn’t have been in better hands. I don’t think I could ever find the words to say how great the entire staff has treated me. My surgery came with challenges and uncertainties, but ended up being perfect! The doctor explained every risk I would be facing and I still went forward with the surgery. I am so glad I did!
I have been treated with the utmost professionalism. The surgical center treated me like I was important and they were very nice. It was a clean and beautiful facility.
I was overweight, age 53. I lost 47 lbs by «getting healthy». I changed my lifestyle. I did NOT go on a diet. I started eating healthy, working out, and never cheated. Well, I was left with a big blubber apron. It was awful. I still had a butt in the front, even though I’d lost all that weight. I decided to get a tummy tuck. I’m SO GLAD I DID!
As I previously mentioned, my operation was a challenge and there were risks involved, due to prior surgeries. Dr. Bensimon was incredible. He has seen me through the entire recovery process step by step. He is a life changer.
I feel like a new person with a brand new outlook on life. Even with my extended recovery period, Dr. Bensimon has treated me like I’m special and gives me compassionate attention and care at every visit.
I’ll always think of him as the doctor who helped me change my life and helped me transform myself.
I researched cosmetic surgeons before choosing Dr. Bensimon and I really made the very best choice. I can’t imagine any other doctor could be as kind, caring and awesome as my Dr. Bensimon. He’s just helped me so much.

This is a long and honest review of a phenomenal doctor and practice! I am 1 week out from breast implant removal with breast lift, and secondary open rhinoplasty.
First, I am not the simple, run-​of-​the-​mill patient with easily produced results. I am fat, which is the scarlet letter with most plastic surgeons in and of itself. I am transsexual, having developed in a male body, and surgically and chemically morphed my shell to align with my female identity. I also have had a fair amount of surgical work done for someone who is 28, most of which was done in Thailand. As a result of lackluster detail and medical ethics in that hospital, I have some trauma responses from plastic surgery that I had there.
With all this said, I am not the «mommy makeover» type patient from Beaverton. I know a fair amount about plastic surgery, and I come to a consult with lots of questions, worst-​case-​scenarios, and expectations! Most surgeons like easy patients with results they can guarantee. I am not that.
Dr. Bensimon was everything I needed him to be, except the cheapest. But, he was only marginally more than most others. But, what he made up for in skill, bedside manner, respect and intelligence far surpassed money. This review would be miles long if I detailed all the times meeting before, during and after surgery.
I will summarize that Dr. Bensimon is funny and down to earth, he is not narcissistic and self-​worshipping (you know what this means if you have been around PS’s). He took enough time to answer my questions, and get to know some of my story.
Through this whole process with him, I have had to call his office many times. A handful after hours. Aside from him giving his patients his cell number after surgery, he also has responded to messages left with the answering service within 5 minutes, every single time.
There are lots of doctors that can get you middle of the road surgical results in Portland, have decent bedside manner and are good people. But, of the 6 or 7 plastic surgeons I have encountered in life… Dr. Bensimon is the only one who has had it together in every aspect. Surgical skills, down to earth mentality, approachable and responsive, and a staff that really go the extra mile and communicate honestly from the beginning.
There weren’t surprises. Everything with my procedure went perfectly with him. I’m going back in March to fix more of the damage that happened in Thailand «.
Before scheduling with Dr. Bensimon, I walked away from another doctor after paying $ 600 down, because of some terrible communication and office management issues with her practice. I have also sat across from the «best plastic surgeon in Portland» twice to consult for my procedures i just had with Dr. Bensimon, and couldn’t get past her atrocious bedside manner and god complex.
When we have surgery, go under, and put our lives in doctors hands… We need to fully trust them, and know that they have it together! Listen to your gut! Being fat and trans makes me likely to end up with a doctor who will DO my work… but, do so for the money, not because they want to help me. I knew Dr, Bensimon was the right choice immediately, when he opened our consult with «what questions do you have for me before we talk about the surgery?» I asked him about his comfort level with Trans* people. He had a stellar answer and knew more that any other PS i have spoken with that doesn’t specialize in Trans surgery. The last thing I wanted was a dr who was uncomfortable with me, doing my surgery for the sake of the money, and me being the «ohhh its okay» mistake patient. I never got any sensation from the Dr. that I was anything unusual or less than ideal.
I will refer to him. I will have more work done with him. I haven’t met every PS in the NW… But Dr. Bensimon is surely the best PS in the NW for Trans patients!

1 year post-​op checkup, followed by a scar revision today, and fixing my ear lobes, which were previously gauged. Same great experience. Couldn’t be happier with results or with Luda and Bensimon. More surgery with him is on the horizon.

Please don’t let these people near you. The doctor is experienced and knowledgeable but he allows unqualified medical assistants to perform procedures for which they are not qualified, I have a rampaging post operative staph infection that I don’t think I would have if basic procedures had been followed, Once it was obvious that I was very ill, the doctor ducked my calls and let me suffer. At any rate, it looks like suing for malpractice won’t work if if don’t die but I will be reporting these people to the medical review board. Please get a second and a third opinion and really look at the office before you make my mistake.

I am a huge fan of Dr Bensimon. Just three months ago I had a facelift with fat grafting and I look fantastic. Seriously, I look 15 years younger.
One of the many aspects that sets Dr Bensimon above other surgeons is his anesthetic method. My anesthetic recovery was much easier than recovering from traditional IV or gas anesthetic.
Dr Bensimon is a world class surgeon, we are very fortunate he practices here in Portland Oregon.

I have had my split earlobe fixed several times but it was never successful. Within few months after wearing earrings again it would tear again! Dr. Bensimon not only repaired it, but he made my ear look as if nothing ever happened! I am wearing earrings again and could not be happier with the results. Luda & Bensimon called me the day after surgery and all the staff has been so helpful and knowledgeable with all questions I had!

I recently had a surgical procedure to correct a long-​standing stomach issue.
The results were phenomenal! I was most impressed by Dr. Bensimon’s willingness to answer my questions, address my concerns, walk me through the process and negotiate the end result I was looking for… including limited risk. His surgical expertise, patient care and thoroughness has been amazing.
The entire Bensimon Center staff has been most professional and caring.
I believe they are the best Portland has to offer.
