I am not one who likes to have things unsettled. I called Bling Dental again and told them what happened. They got back to me the next day as promised this time and waived the outstanding balance. They also apologized and are sending me a gift certificate.
They mentioned that they had some staff changes and communication got lost; which happens and I understand. I scheduled another cleaning and exam with them. I hope it is going to be smooth from now on but I will also double check my insurance coverage myself from now on.

When I first heard about Bling Dental, I was intimidated. I wasn’t sure if the environment they’ve created would make me feel comfortable, as I had heard about their more modern take on dentistry. I had read the reviews here on Unilocal and felt like I still wasn’t sure. After a coworker referred me, I decided to give them a try.
After my experience with Bling, I feel terrible for worrying about them. While the staff is all young and gorgeous, they are also incredibly kind, funny and straight forward; all qualities I appreciate in someone who is working on my mouth for extended periods of time. The building itself is also hands down one of the coolest spaces I’ve ever been to any kind of appointment in. It’s beautifully done and not cluttered with overly bright lighting.
While all of the people I worked with were great, the assistant — who I believe was named Will — was awesome. He had me laughing like crazy and he made getting X-​rays and a mold of my teeth a little more comfortable. I also worked with a hygienist named Jordan, who explained everything really well and didn’t make me feel like a total idiot for my tooth issues. And finally, I worked with Dr. Katie who was awesome. She suggested a mouth guard, but also told me I should try to fix the problems myself through different means before making that purchase. That is something no dentist has ever done, so I appreciated it so much.
Obviously, I enjoyed the perks everyone has talked about. Watching a movie made the uncomfortable parts fly by and I am excited to go pick up my whitening trays.
I have to go back to Bling to get more work done, so my review could change, but right now I am confident that I chose the right dentist. I’m a fan! Thanks, Dr. Katie, Jordan and Will.

Bling Dental: Your hours are somewhat limited as it is and when you decide to close on a Tuesday afternoon for a «staff» meeting, I have to wonder how much you really care about your patients. May I suggest that you tell your patients if you have a standing staff meeting, or schedule it before or after work, or during lunch like other businesses? It’s not cool when you show up to pick up something and the staff stares at you and won’t open the door. Customer service is actually a deal-​breaker for some people. Just something to consider…

Today was my second experience with Bling Dental and once again it was amazing. The dentists chairs gently massage you as you get your teeth cleaned, the television on the ceiling entertains you, and the staff is amazing and non shaming which makes for a wonderful experience all around. I continue to be impressed by this dentist. I recommend it highly to everyone.

I went to Bling Dental today for a cleaning. Going to my previous dentist was such a nightmare that I’ve been putting off going to the dentist again but I was way past due for a cleaning so I finally sucked it up and made an appointment. I’m so glad that I went here. They were incredibly friendly, there was a cute puppy in the lobby, they were more thorough than any dental clinic I’ve ever been to, they provided excellent info and tips to keep my teeth healthy and I feel like the work that they did was really great. They were on the expensive side but they took my flexible spending account card so it was all cool to me. I absolutely recommend them to everyone.

I couldn’t wait to write this review! I’m trying to remember if I’m rating a dental office or a spa! What a fantastic experience from start to finish. The hygienist told me what was happening every step of the way and didn’t once shame me on not flossing as much as I should! I’m going back to get more work done and I’m actually looking forward to it! Thank you Dr Katie and all the staff. See you soon!

I have been going to Bling Dental since it opened and have never enjoyed going to the dentist so much in my life. TV’s on the ceiling and warm hot towels for your forehead, um YES! I adore Dr. Katie and love that it is owned by a woman, GIRL POWER. The staff is always smiling and welcoming. My hygienist is quick yet gentle with my cleanings and I get my most favorite lip balm in my goodie bag each time that I visit.

Dr. Katie is the best dentist in town! She’s kind and gentle. I recommend her to everyone that compliments me on my smile!

The most awesome dentist experience I’ve ever had. The staff was friendly, accommodating, and comforting. They did a thorough cleaning and even allowed me to pick a movie to watch while doing so! I just moved out here and I am so happy I stumbled upon this place.

I was on Holiday off the coast of Puerto Rico when my crown fell off! I immediately called Bling, where they instructed me how to temporarily put it back in. Luckily I was coming to my home town and they fit me in as soon as I got in. I was treated like royalty, with an amazing staff that was attentive to my every want and need. I was in and out in a flash and was ready to enjoy my day. They truly take the anxiety out of going to the dentist and make you relaxed and comfortable. Thanks Bling Dental! You are all truly beautiful inside and out!

Patient, accommodating, and passionate dentist and staff! Bling is a fun atmosphere, and you can tell the staff truly enjoy what they do and love coming into the office each day.
I needed to have half of my front tooth replaced after 10 years, as the cap fell off while I was on a business trip (go figure). The dentist who filled it in Italy said it would only last 3 months, so I suppose it was a win but these things always seem to happen at the most inopportune times. I had an important business meeting the following Monday, and Dr. Katie and one of her assistants came in before normal business hours that day to help me in my time of need. Thank you!
I’ve now started going to have my teeth cleaned at Bling, and Emily did a great job during my first appointment. She was very gentle, took her time, and was thorough with my cleaning. I even received free trays and whitening after my visit, a nice bonus!
Would highly recommend Bling Dental and their team to anyone!

Dr Kate told me I needed a crown for a tooth that had already been filled and now had another cavity. Two second opinions later and BOTH dentists said I didn’t even have a cavity in that tooth! Glad I didn’t waste $ 1200 and lose my tooth!

My son has never liked going to the dentist to have work done, he doesn’t mind cleanings, he is very afraid of needles. Dr. Katie was very gentle, and helped him stay calm. The staff is all friendly, and happy! It feels like a breathe of fresh air when you walk in. They are very good at educating patients about what they should be doing at home to take care of their teeth. Bling dental and their staff Rocks!

Wonderful staff and really like Dr. Mike. Was in today to have 2 crowns replaced. After arranging my schedule to be there, I was given the local anesthetic and after 30 minutes, I was informed that the crowns had not arrived back from the lab. So after dealing with the pain of the injections, nothing could be done and was sent home. While they were apologetic, makes me concerned about their attention to detail. For my troubles, I was given a Starbucks card, great!!!
So while I’ll give them another chance, be careful as they may be too busy to give you the service that you deserve and expect from a high end dental office.
As an aside, I am also a medical professional and attention to detail means everything.
I will submit another review once they finally replace my crowns as to the quality of the service. Right now, I am not too happy as this cost me an afternoon with a numb mouth and nothing was done!!!
Update: After that visit, they have been great and very accommodating. Actually had the dental lab owner come in 3 times to check color match with my teeth. Very accommodating for my schedule, I would recommend. Dr. Mike and Katie are great! Also, Peter from the dental lab was wonderful and went way above and beyond. My crowns look amazingly real and blend perfectly. Thank you for your caring ways.

I preface my review this with: I have such a severe fear of dentists, and of all things, I have a huge irrational fear of needles. I had not seen a dentist or really any kind of doctor for a few years because my fear was so severe. I worked a great job that gave me dental insurance for over two years, never once got the nerve to even find a dentist.
Well, I bit the bullet and came here. I knew one of my teeth ached, and to boot I was developing a huge coffee stain on my front teeth. I walked into Bling because it looked gorgeous and spa-​esque, which is what I really wanted. I want a dentist office that felt like a spa, so I would feel like I was getting my hair cut or my nails done when I walked in, instead of getting bone in my skull carved into or scraped at.
Clearly, I made the right decision! And I came just in time as I had three tiny cavities. Dr. Katie didn’t shame me, and neither did the assistant who scraped away at my stain and rendered my teeth a shining white within an hour. My eyes watered. I admit I cried out of fear (not out of pain!) just because I was in such a scary place, seeing needles and hearing the dentist noises. They put on a kid’s movie for me and I watched Frozen like every time I came here (not because I love Frozen but just because all the other movies were considerably less interesting to me or I had already watched them too many times).
When they filled my cavities I admit I was scared, I almost didn’t even come. They prescribed some anxiety medication for me, put the movie on, numbed me severely before numbing me further with dreaded needles. I explained my irrational and stupid fear of needles to Dr. Katie, because I was so worked up I was squirming. She didn’t laugh at me and she was really nice. I made me feel like I could tell her if I needed a break or if I wanted to stop because it was too much for me.
Again, it probably took them a lot of work to get those three little fillings in, having me squirming, doped up, scared in my chair. Dr. Katie and her assistant, Will (who was also amazing, very friendly) put the movie on and just talked to me gently. They did a great job, and I even boldly scheduled my next cleaning in six months, something I normally avoid.
Later when I went home, one of my fillings was a little tall (I was shredding floss), so they scheduled a filing down for me, free of charge, to fix it. I came back in, it was painless, and on top of that they fixed up some personalized whitening trays.
I can’t say this enough: great, great service. If you’ve been scared, hiding from dentists and doctors for a few years, shivering imagining what your teeth might look like in your seventies, I think you should start here. This office is so clean and fresh and special.
I am really grateful to be back on track to keeping my teeth clean and cavity-​free. Preventive care, no more cleaning up the mess of me not coming in for two years. That is the new me. That is the me Bling Dental is going to help me maintain.

While going to the dentist can be stressful Bling Dental makes the experience fun. Nothing better than watching a movie while getting your work done. Dr Katie is very professional and thorough. I would highly recommend.

Been going to Bling for 3 years and they have been wonderful! Always bubbly service and complimentary teeth whitening gel make for a Blingtastic experience! In addition to routine cleanings I’ve had a couple of procedures there and Dr. Mike did a great job.

When I got a new job, I had to switch Dentists as my old one wasn’t covered by my new insurance. In a simple search of dentists in my neighborhood, I found myself on the Bling Dental website. I was amused at the vibe of the site, kinda looked as if Bob Barker and his «Price is Right» set designer decided to run away together and build a website about teeth (I love B.B. so that’s not even an insult, just not something I’m used in a Dental website after years of going to a quiet, older man in a sweater vest out in the sticks).
Anyway, they were close to home and had good reviews and I was intrigued– so the appointment was made.
Honestly, they have been nothing but lovely, knowledgeable and courteous since that point. I honestly look forward to going there (it has a relaxing, spa feel inside) and beyond that, they know their stuff when it comes to teeth.
Additionally, one of my favorite features is that they will text me a week before my appointment to remind me, I find that incredibly helpful and kind.
A good establishment and a fun setting, give it a whirl. I truly have no complaints about any experience I’ve had there and would go so far to say that I enjoy it as well. :)

My experience with Bling Dental is as an online customer.
The physical office of Dr. Raymond Frye, DMD, is located in Portland, Oregon. In October of this year (2011) he offered an unbeatable deal for an ultrasonic toothbrush on Living Social. That deal got me a rechargeable toothbrush with 3 brushes, and the recharging station with UV chamber that sterilizes my brush (es) each time. I am sorry to see that his online site prices have gone so much higher than what I paid.
I have been using it for about 3 months now. So, what do I like? Everything.
The unit itself is very attractive.
The toothbrush portion is easily removable/​exchangeable and mounts on a rechargeable handle that fits nicely in my hand.
The brush itself is small. This enables me to more easily reach to the back where I have typically had more difficulty cleaning my teeth. I am looking forward to my next dental cleaning to see if my hygienist notices any difference.
I have noticed a significant difference in the feel of my teeth. When I glide over them with my tongue, I no longer feel the build up on my teeth. They feel as clean as when my dental hygienist does her cleaning.
I am also noticing a gradual whitening taking place. I know the good doctor also offers a whitening product, however I have not tried it.
I like the idea of the UV chamber for sanitizing the brush after each brushing. No doubt, with all the bacteria typically in the mouth, I would probably get grossed out to see the petri dish results. There is room in the UV chamber for a total of 4 brushes, which I am assuming means a whole family of 4 can share the same unit. I wouldn’t.
The toothbrush has three different settings, but I usually use the high setting. There is also a gentler frequency and one that pulses that I am assuming is for gums. It is also quieter than my old toothbrush.
I also appreciate the little pause at the end of each 30 second interval, to let you know to move on to another surface.
While some of these features are like my old toothbrush, a Phillips Ultrasonic, which has been a dependable workhorse for many years, I do notice a significant difference in the overall feel of my teeth since switching over.
Bottom line — I am extremely happy with my new toothbrush!

Tightwad that I am, I would most likely sign up for the different discount sites that are listed on his website under «Redeem Here», and patiently wait in hopes he would offer another «deal». But, I also know that the longer you wait, you are missing out on the benefits of this product.
