History

Established in 1981.

The idea for OverLand Equipment started in Chico, California — a tucked-​away town in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains, where getting outside is a way of life.

From finding the right thread, to hand cutting each pattern, to taking the time to stitch each bag so it lasts, we are committed to creating the best product possible. We started in 1981 with one sewing machine, a shiny pair of red scissors (now well used), and unmatched creativity. 30 years later our bags are still — and always will be — made with the same thoughtfulness, simplicity, and natural ruggedness of our Chico roots.

Overland Equipment/​Since 1981 is a Company who’s primary audience has been on line. We opened our first flagship Retail Premium Factory Outlet in the Pearl District Portland Oregon in May of 2013. Come on by and experience our great location in «The Pearl».
