Specialties

Bundy’s Bagels makes fresh boiled bagels daily! We serve breakfast and lunch sandwiches during all hours of operation. Fresh fried eggs and bacon, and all meats are purchased locally from Gartner’s Meat Market. Also, we offer coffee from K&F Coffee Roasters. If you are interested in deliveries with large purchases, we will do our best to accommodate you in any way possible.

Bundy’s Bagels is located on SE 33rd just north of Hawthorne Blvd.

Established in 2014.

Bundy’s Bagels was first opened in May of 2014. The owner, Joel Bundy, has been making bagels for over 6 years. The food cart was built by Joel and his brother Mike.

Joel Bundy is the owner/​operator at Bundy’s Bagels. Prior to owning the food cart he was a garbage man for 10 years and has been making bagels as a pass time for 6. After spending a year and a half building the food cart from the ground up, he was finally able to open in May of 2014. Making bagels is a passion for him and the quality that comes out of the product shows that he cares about what he does.

Bundy’s Bagels are right across the street from me and I cannot say enough good things about this place! Joel has an awesome story about his previous occupation to becoming the place to get bagels anywhere! He makes them all by himself, right at the cart fresh! I have never been a fan of bagels, but Joel has hit these out of the ball park!

This was the PERFECT breakfast after my fasting blood draw! The bagels themselves are extremely high quality and the toppings are fresh and delicious. The owner is super friendly and welcoming. We will definitely go back!

Visited this place on our recent trip to Portland from PHX. Not realizing that this was a food truck-​ish place, we were in for a pleasant surprise.
The menu is limited (and that’s a good thing).
The bagels are super fresh and delicious.
The sandwiches are just perfect.
I had a plain bagel (toasted) with cream cheese — and it is, without a doubt, the best bagel I’ve had in my life. Having had bagels in NYC and Philly, that’s saying something.

Wut? How could I have not written a review for Bundy’s sooner? Bundy’s bagels — all on their own — are absolutely delicious and adding fresh, yummy stuff inside just makes them out of this world! The salt bagel *muah* amazing! The poppy seed on top is that Bundy is such an affable, hard working, positive guy that seeing him so stoked to make bagels will bring some happiness into your life. Go, go get one right now!

We love Bundys! Being from NY/​NJ, I have to say we are both pretty snobby when it comes to bagels and Bundy nails it! Not only are his bagels and sandwiches delish but you also get the pleasure of Bundy! He’s always so pleasant, helpful and gracious, it makes a great bagel sammy that much better. What a great spot to enjoy a great meal!

Bundy’s Bagels sure makes some delicious bagels. They serve them regular or in sandwich form from their cart in the Hawthorne District. Two large wooden tables sit next to the bagel shop along with many other carts nearby, particularly another two in the same parking lot behind a restaurant.
I went here not knowing what to expect. The newspapers at the front, which possibly included literary praise, increased my expectations. I had their poppyseed bagels with cream cheese, and some chips along with a can of Coke. My meal was $ 3.75 and ready in four minutes. The bagels were chewy and flavorful, things where the lack thereof is all too common. Sandwiches can get pricy, so I’ll reccomend the bagels and a meal deal instead.
Bundy’s Bagels is worth visiting.

YUM!!! This little cart is awesome! Ordered an Everything bagel with egg, cheese, and tomato. The bagel (which was baked on-​site) was chewy and the toppings were gooey. It’s probably hot as hell inside the cart today, but the guy making food was nice. I’ll totally be back to try some of the flavored cream cheeses.

Great little breakfast and lunch bagel sandwich food truck. Bundy is a real cool and nice guy, who gets in early to make the bagels himself. Think there are 4 different varieties: plain, sesame, poppyseed and everything. Definitely planning on going back here. I thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast sandwich with basil cream cheese, bacon, avocado, onion, tomato and of course a fried egg!
Be sure to seek this spot out, it’s kinda hidden but totally worth it. Buddy be killin’ it :-)

Truly amazing bagels crafted by a true Portland original! The proprietor Joel is friendly and great to talk to as you wait for your delicious, well-​crafted breakfast sandwich. I suggest the «farmer» with avocado. Great prices too! Stellar find.

Excellent customer service!
I wanted to send a delicous treat to my team in Oregon who are big fans of bagels. Really glad I called Bundy’s Bagels, they were a big hit in my department. Joel went above and beyond to make my team happy!!! A lot of great comments were emailed to me, mostly on how the everything bagel with the flavored cream cheese were simply delightful.
Thank you Joel, I can’t wait to be in Oregon to try them myself.

Bundy’s is great! I had «The Example» bagel breakfast sandwich, it was very tasty and the bagel was toasted perfectly. I am fairly certain that it’s just a one man show, so if you are in the area swing by and give them some business. Because the food is good, the service is pleasant, and the prices are fair.

The company I work for had a meeting and Bundy’s Bagels were served. They were a HUGE hit with us. We’re talking 20 employees! Joel delivered the bagels too, not sure if he usually offers delivery service but he showed up with a massive box of delight. The everything bagel was my favorite with the jalapeño lime cream cheese spread. The pesto basil spread was very good too.
I took a bagel home to my husband, he was very eager to try it. He’s a bagel snob having lived in NYC for a stint and he said it was really good and he was impressed with the texture. It’s all about the boil, apparently.
So go see Joel and try his bagels, you won’t be sorry.

I wish I could give 6 stars. One of the best bagels I’ve had on this coast!
Went here for the first time yesterday and was impressed. I am originally from New York, so I know a thing or two about bagels. This may not be as good as an authentic nyc bagel, but it is damned close.
I had their everything bagel with jalapeño lime cream cheese and it was delicious. My friend had plain on plain (boring if you ask me) and she was also pleased as punch. I’ll be going back soon to try some of the sandwiches!
Update: came back today and had a great breakfast sandwich on a toasted bagel from heaven. They also have Steven Smith tea, which is delicious as well. I’m so happy this place is in my neighborhood!

Love these bagels! Super fresh and delicious… Hard to find good, boiled bagels in this town. And Joel, the owner, is very personable and excited about his craft. I got meaty, veggie bagel and my husband got just cream cheese and tomato. Fancy or casual, Bundy’s Bagels are tasty… We ended up ordering seconds for the road before we left!

Bundy’s Bagels are great. They have a great selection of sandwiches to choose from, all on home made boiled bagels. I have had many bagels, these raise the bar. I will be coming back for more.
