Button Consignment

So GOOD for shoppers and sellers alike! It is really difficult to consistently curate a consignment shop to this level of care. I’ve worked in resale for the entirety of my life, and Button is one of the best shops to buy from and sell to. They price items fairly, and offer feedback to sellers about what does well for them without the arrogance that buyers can have. The owner is so kind, and I always feel lucky if I show up on a day that she is there! They have a great selection of basics from better labels, like Jcrew, Anthropologie brands, & Madewell, but they also weren’t afraid to sell these vintage baby clothes from the 1970’s that I had picked up at a garage sale. The jewelry buying is also really on point but fairly priced. They have fantastic handbags too! Ah, its dangerous.

The sizes are not kinda small. What is this crazy lady reviewer talking about? Does she know she is at a CONSIGNMENT store? Like the store doesn’t size them sugarbabes. For real. Other people bought them at other stores and sold them here. I had the opposite experience because the clothes are so gently worn they don’t have the super restricting tightness of new clothes so things were often a little big on me. I’ll take that any day! Size down;) I walked out of the store with $ 400 worth of clothes for $ 92. Thank you button for having style!
Listen– be a good human and don’t review small businesses badly! If they go you won’t have a job and all we will have is a few people making all the money in the world. Think local.

Clean and organized, beautiful items that rotate weekly. I almost always try on one or two things and occasionally walk out with something beautiful.
The owner is selective about what she takes from consignors, for good reason. The shop has a «just-​right» feel — not too big, not too small. Known for her boots and selected high end shoes, she also has a surprisingly delightful children’s clothing section as well as a nice range of tasteful high end women’s clothing.
I’m trying to find my adult style and have enjoyed trying on nice brands in a warm environment — with prices that are fair (but not cheap) for clothes that will last.

I finally found the place. I have such a hard time shopping for clothes (as many of us with bodies they don’t completely adore do), and I also don’t like buying new clothes because I hate contributing to «stuff» and all that damage to the earth. You know :) I’ve gone to many consignment stores in portland that consistently disappoint me in terms of clothing. The minute I walked into button I could tell it was high quality and very reasonable. It’s just for women and children, and the clothing is very selective and high quality. In the front window are about half a dozen pairs of very new looking women’s and children’s keen sandals. I bought 5 very flattering and unique shirts for $ 57. That’s extremely reasonable for the gap and banana republic brands I bought. The sales girls were so nice and accommodating. The shoe selection was very impressive. And the jewelry is simple and unique and high quality! I was beyond impressed and will be back often.

I like the shop but the staff only cater to younger women. Every time I have been in they say hello and greet the younger women and are all about helping and talking about their trips to europe. I am left until someone has to deal with me.

Nice selection but sizes seem to run small, which was confusing (and a bit awkward in the dressing room). Prices are also kinda high.

Love Button. Great place to consign — and really nice selection of clothing. Plus the staff is so friendly and helpful! I always leave with a smile. And seriously the best Frye selection in town.

I have passed this shop so many times on my way to Downtown Portland and finally stopped in a couple weeks ago. I cannot tell you how amazing this place is. They have such a beautifully organized shop, the staff is wonderful, and everything is reasonably priced. I picked up the most fabulous pair of Chelsea Crew heels, thinking they’d surely be out of my range, but it was an absolute steal and they now go with some of my favorite outfits. I’m definitely on my way back this week!

Over a year later, and I’m still loving this place. I think there has only been one time where I walked out empty handed. They consistently have great finds in good condition, and everything is affordable, even for someone like me who’s trying to stay on a small budget. If you’ve never been to Button, you are totally missing out.

What a great place. I stopped in recently and had my 18 month old with me. I usually don’t like to shop with him because toting a toddler while trying to shop is not easy. We ended up spending 45 minutes here and had no problem. They have an area in the children’s clothing section with some toys to keep kids occupied.
They have a great selection of Frye boots and just an overall good selection of clothes, purses and jewelry. I ended up getting some earrings and a top both at a great price.
I follow Button on instagram and it is great to see new things that are coming in and luring me back. I’m a fan and will definitely be back.

Adorable! I was really impressed with the selection. And, they have the most amazing assortment of Fryes I’ve ever seen at a consignment or thrift shop. Really well organized and obviously thoughtfully curated. I haven’t consigned here, but as a shopper, I had a great experience.

I was pleasantly surprised by this place. The store is well organized and fun to shop around in. Going in, I knew they sold children’s clothing and I have to say, that worried me a little bit. I was afraid it would be kiddie gear and Mom stuff. I found a hand full of stuff to try on right away though and I was especially impressed with their shoe selection. The shop is pretty small but they have a nice selection of shoes, something I have had a hard time shopping for lately. Another review talked about the expensive pricing, I felt just the opposite. The stuff is in great shape and there are many designer labels, I thought it was priced extremely well for being consigned. And bonus for having a great variety of nikibiki leggings and camisols!

Cute as a button! Sorry for the cliché, but I just about died and went to ankle boot heaven… which is in fact where I want to spend the afterlife! If you are looking for a pair of nearly new Frye boots or cute pieces to wear to work/​play, I highly recommend this spot.
Some stores in Portland have actual vintage clothing that tends to be frumpy or impractical and often overpriced, but that’s not what Button is all about.
You will find items that are great for stylish 20/​30/​40ish women, along with fun accessories, baby/​kids stuff, and even maternity. Great selection and nice items even on the sale rack. I had to hold myself back to not spend even more cash here. Good value for the quality though, and wonderful, friendly service.

I got the most adorable yellow belt here, and every time I sport it, I get complimented. Fabulous selection of women’s higher-​end clothing at very reasonable prices, and some gorgeous newer jewelry, etc. Bought several gifts here on a recent visit.
Oh, and the Frye boots: to die for! Couldn’t afford any, but I did buy my friend some Frye lace-​up oxfords that she was coveting, for her birthday. She will probably get 15 yrs+ out of those beauties!
Really, really nice owner, and I love the kid’s section/​play area, too. What a cool spot – wish we had something like this in Healdsburg.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. They have a great sale rack in the back. Tons and tons of work and play appropriate clothes, and a great selection of high quality shoes. I could frequent this place once a week if my wallet let me!

This place was great! Cute and well laid out, I found several items I wanted to take home for myself, even though I was there primarily to shop for baby on the way. The selection of newborn items (at least on the day we visited) was slim, but I found my older daughter several unique, well priced items, including the most adorable retro flip flops, just like the ones I wore as a little girl.
The owner was working the counter and was kind and thoughtful. We will be back!

What a breath of fresh air this place is. For so many weeks I rode past it with apprehension because of where it is situated. It’s right on the corner of Interstate and Rosa Parks so I thought that parking would be weird. Or parking my bike would be weird? Or maybe I am just a drama queen that should shut her face because when I finally went, I scored a parking spot right out front and a ton of cute gear.
Aside from having a cool name, Button has a great variety of used items. Even stuff for kids that are planned nicely and really meet the needs of the thrifty North Portlander. Name brand jeans for less than $ 30, hats and accessories, fancy dresses. I think the best thing about this shop is the super adorable owner who paints a lovely picture of the North Portland vibe; easy going yet helpful and kind. She even went out of her way to make feel better after witnessing me trying to squeeze my fat ass into some tiny red pants with no success. Anyone who can make me feel skinny when I am clearly feeling like a manatee gets an A+ in my book!
I scored three nice shirts, a dress and some sassy red cowboy boots for under $ 80. I love this place and I hope it stays around for a long time.

I picked up a gorgeous party dress for my 2 year old here for a great price. Love this store! I also love that they have a little play area for kids in the back.
