So this little spot hit the spot. Needed something warm waiting in the cold for our donuts at VooDoo’s across the way. For a one man show, he works his @$$ but is super-efficient and ensures no corners are cut when finishing his art in every cup! Thanks for the beverages, nameless man, thanks. Oh yes, and this chai latte… actual spiced chai– I love it. Not gonna lie– thought I was going to gwt that fakety, fake, fake, sweet pretty chai. You didn’t disappoint.

Went to Voodoo and decided to go back later because of the line(we’re from out of town and got it right when we landed around 3am — no lines! Clearly the time to go.) saw this little coffee place on the corner and loved it. Very cute and convenient. Cold brew is stellar. Will be back before we head back to Atlanta.

I usually get espresso here with my Voodoo, but this one day something was off. I ordered a hot caramel mocha. I then walked away and got on the max to go to work. When I took a sip, all I tasted was bitter espresso. This thing should be extra sweet. They did put the chocolate and caramel in it right? I kept trying to drink it and shake it around to find the syrup, but I had to throw it away. I’ve never had a problem there before, but this was really bad. I don’t know who to talk to for a refund, because I definitely want my $ 5 back. I’m scared to go back for fear of another horrible drink.

Friendly service with great coffee. I was excited to see them since I had tried caffe vita in Seattle. They have a wide variety of beans to buy. Macchiato was smooth and flavorful and cold brew was refreshing. Their coffee is well balanced and not too dark and not too bright.

They make an awesome soy latte! Hanging out next to Voodoo Donuts is a great place to people watch.

What a great marketing strategy, being opened right next to Voodoo. With a group of us and buying two dozens donuts, coffee was in order. COFFEE: I got 12 oz black. It definitely was plain and was very watered down. Perhaps I like mine super strong, but by the time I got to the end, I did not want to finish it. At the end of the day, the location is great. You want some coffee next to some good donuts, but man, the coffee isn’t great. Maybe grab a cup along the way to Voodoo so you can have something better. Maybe their other drinks are better!

Of course, we stopped by here when we were getting a certain donut fix and they did not disappoint! Highly recommend as they offer great coffee!

Tasty cappuccinos, artfully created by a friendly yet mysterious barista. Really quirky location, it is shaped like the tiny sliver of pie I eat when I’m cheating on my diet.

This place was good, but I didn’t feel like there was anything extraordinary about it. Flavors were pretty limited — caramel and vanilla. I ordered an almond milk vanilla latte and found that I didn’t need to add any extra sweetener like I thought I might(I like my coffee really sweet). The coffee was nice and smooth, and it ran me 5.00 for a 12 ounce. If you like pretty basic drinks with good coffee you might like this place. I personally found it very unremarkable. The person working was soft spoken but very friendly to us. We were able to walk right up, but I would imagine that the lines get longer at times due to spill over from Voodoo. I wouldn’t go out of my way to try this place but if you were desperate, or you’re not picky about your coffee then it’d be a good fix. Both my friend and I had wished that we had tried Stumptown just down the street instead.

We ran into this place looking for a different coffee shop and I loved the little window so we decided to stop. There was no line since it was fairly early so I got an Americano and a pastry(we didn’t feel like standing in line at VooDoo). The barista was really friendly and gave us some ideas for breakfast places. We sat on the picnic tables to enjoy our coffee and pastry and watch the crazy line at VooDoo!

Cutest little coffee corner I have ever seen! Of course we went here after grabbing some VooDoo Doughnuts. I had a latte and the boy had an americano. Both were delicious. Service was quick and friendly.

Was pleasantly surprised by this little place! It’s(literally) a little whole-in-the-wall right next to VooDoo, with some picnic tables(and a lot of passing homeless people) in the middle. My husband had an Americano and me my usual soy latte, and we both thought the espresso was really, really good. It never got to be more than a few people in line, which is for the better because there was only one person taking payment and playing barista. So probably not the place to come if you have an office order, but perfect to go with your doughnut or if you’re at the Skidmore Fountain stop, it’s just a block away.

I wasn’t too impressed with their drip coffee, but my husband’s latte was good. They are fast and convenient, though, so that’s good. I grabbed my coffee on our way back from the Saturday Market and my husband later got his latte while we enjoyed our doughnuts in the courtyard. They definitely picked a fantastic location for the smallest coffee shop I’ve ever seen. I’m sure they piggyback lots of business off people like us who forgot to order their coffee inside Voodoo Doughnuts.

Excellent coffee. A little on the spendy price but certainly worth it. A small cappuccino ran me $ 3.50? But it was delicious. +1 because they have Stevia in the Raw available +1 for great crafted coffee drinks +1 for yummy cookies — I tried some chocolate salted something or other and it was pretty good. Not overly sweet. +1 for nice staff and overall location. Tucked in the ally way by VooDoo this place is a hole-in-the-wall. Literally. Great stop while walking or if you’re headed over to Saturday Market. Don’t come here looking for some fancy-schmancy concoction. There’s maybe 1 or 2 flavorings you can choose from, but really, it’s not needed. The coffee is super smooth.

This coffee joint has the best location right next to VooDoo Doughnuts. It is literally a tiny little walk-up coffee stand that has better coffee that VooDoo could ever make. They have the standard coffee fare, with slightly higher prices since it is in the tourist central. I may be a coffee snob(Seattle represent!) but compared to the thousand coffee places in Portland, this place was just eh. BUT it did complement the mediocre doughnuts next store, so all was not lost.

Went to this little coffee stand because it was located right across from VooDoo Doughnuts and I needed some good coffee to enjoy with my highly anticipated treats. The coffee was rich and smooth.

As coffee goes this place just rubs me the wrong way. I can see what they are trying to do, but it’s not working. Someone should try to have an original idea for once. Our at least try. Maybe it just pisses me off that the tiny sidewalk has hardly enough room to support the line? While you wait in line for a delightful doughnut go grab a cup of coffee.

Found this little coffee stand serendipitously while making my way back to Burnside to catch the bus home after a long day of beer drinking and Waterfront Park time. Sunday at 6PM is, as it turns out, NOT a time when one can expect to find open coffee places in downtown. I got there JUST as they were closing, but they still rocked out an americano for me, with zero ‘tude. These guys picked a genius location, near the closed-off block in front of Central and next to the ever-present line for stale Voodoo Doughnuts. I was extra happy to see Caffe Vita, as a former Seattle resident who has much nostalgia for time spent in their cafes up north.

I love Caffe Vita. Being a Seattle native, and moving to Portland, my options were limited. I’m really excited that this small Walk-up Caffe Vita just opened in Old Town. Best beans! Delicious Coffee, and it helps to have attractive baristas too. My dog sure appreciated the complimentary treat :)
