Catalina beautifully and gracefully captured our engagement and wedding photos and I couldn’t be more thrilled with how they turned out. She has a great talent for seeing the essence of the two individuals love and knowing what to do with it in photos. Her work never looks fake or staged, it’s all very natural and journalistic. Truly storytelling of our love. She has excellent communication, always prompt and clear in her responses. Catalina takes the time to get to know her clients, which allows her to personalize her work to that specific client while still adding her flare of creativity and art. She is super kind, sweet, and fun while she works, which makes it so nice to work with. I feel very grateful for her hard work and providing us with documentation of our memories that will last forever!

Catalina was the best wedding photographer I could have ever asked for. My husband and I are a little unconventional in that we wanted a bit more of an editorial, creative bunch of wedding photos instead of your standard poses with family and cheesy shots just smiling at the camera in different places, etc (although we still got shots like that!). Therefore, I was very picky when it came to finding a photographer for our hastily thrown together wedding (2 months to plan), which was almost a disaster considering we didn’t have a very big wedding budget. I looked through many local photographers, and although there are very many excellent choices, none of them «fit“the idea and aesthetic I had in my mind… until I landed on Catalina’s website. Her photos are incredible, and I was surprised she wasn’t much higher on the list when I was searching through google results. She was EXACTLY what we were looking for, but I didn’t have much hope that she’d have availability to shoot us since we were so close to the event date, and on top of that she was still a bit out of our maximum price range for a photographer (but of course I could see why, she deserves every penny!). So I contacted her with crossed fingers explaining our situation, and was overjoyed to have a very prompt reply saying she actually did have that ONE day available to shoot us, and was more than willing to work with our price range. That was by far the best part of finding Catalina. She was willing to work with what we could pay her, and she gave us plenty of options of what she could do — length of shooting wise and photo quality wise. I was able to find a perfect option with what we could afford and after that Catalina was GREAT with asking us how we envisioned the day to be (exact photo combinations with family, timeline of the actual wedding day) which in the end helped me a great deal considering our wedding was VERY thrown together and I had no wedding planner much less experience even going to weddings! But you would never guess that when you see our wedding photos. She did an incredible job. I loved her work from the moment I first saw it because of the raw emotion, the vibrant colors, and the way she composes her shots so uniquely. And that is exactly what we got! You would not go wrong choosing Catalina as your photographer. She is extremely friendly and helpful during every step of the process with any questions you have and is extremely professional which makes it so easy to trust her and not worry about having your special day photographed.

Catalina is an absolute dream! She was so easy to communicate with, and asked all the right questions ahead of time to make sure that she captured everything that was important to us on the day of our wedding. She and her husband, who assisted her, were both incredibly warm on personable, and were so great to have around on the day of. And the photos they took were absolutely stunning – they captured all the emotions of the day, the beautiful setting, the big moments and so many of the small ones… I just can’t say enough about how happy I am with the work she did. Absolutely wonderful.

My now-​husband and I met Catalina a year ago to interview her as our wedding photographer. She is sweet, personable, funny, and professional. We not only fell in love with her photography style, but also her personality. And she didn’t mind all the questions we threw at her!
We got married in February of this year and feel so blessed to have had Catalina photograph our special day. She has a beautiful eye when it comes to capturing emotion and «the whole picture.» When we look at our photos, we recall everything that happened in that moment.
We did a lot of research on Portland area photographers and the market is saturated. However, only a few have an artistic feel to their work — a true photographer’s perspective. Catalina is one of the few and that’s why we chose her. We really wanted someone to tell our story, while being sensitive to some of the anxieties that come with broken families at big events. Catalina was able to keep everyone organized who needed to be organized, listened to our needs, and made me feel like I was in especially good hands. Our day was perfect, stress free, and now we have a collection of photos to remind us of that day.
She provided a well-​organized online gallery to view and purchase prints and share with friends and family, but also provided us with a thumb drive of our collection of edited photos. And the best part — she didn’t just download them all and give them to us; she really takes the time to review the ones that are worth sharing. That showed us that she really takes pride in her work and her brand.
We treasure her photos even more as my grandfather passed away shortly after the wedding. He was a guest via Skype — something not easy to capture on film — but Catalina got the shots that I will forever keep safe. We are about to lose another family member who attended the wedding too. I’m so glad we were able to bring all our friends and family together and have those moments professionally recorded.
