CB’s Tropical Aquarium

Nice variety of freshwater common fish, nothing too fancy. Smaller collection of saltwater fish, not many inverts or corals at all. An OK place, but nothing impressive. Walked in and out in 5 mins

Very rude service, no help, no manners. After a 10 minute standing around without acknowledged we left.

We have had superb experience with this company. Travis is a very nice person. We appreciate a person who stands by their word and who resoects their clients opinions and wishes. Thanks for doing good business with us.

Wonderful. Great stock of healthy beautiful and different fish. We were on our way home from a tournament back to Seattle area and stopped in to see what they had. We arrived right about closing and he stayed open without complaint. Very nice, knowledgeable and not pushy, let us take our time. Prices were good. We left with a gorgeous 5″ porcupine puffer with a great personality and a blue Regal yellow belly Tang of equal size. Both traveled well and are doing great. For us it will be worth the trip to go get fish from this store. This is just the type of lfs the Seattle area needs. Keep up the good work.

I really like this neighborhood store. They have an overall nice selection of fish and supplies. Travis is a great guy and will do his best to take care of the customer.

When you make the decision to invest in a slice of the ocean that will reside in your home you need to have an advocate in your corner that will guide you to make the right choices to successfully recreate an environment that is suited to promote the overall health of your marine animals and ease of maintenance of your aquatic venture. This is the second time in our lives we have turned our living room into a saltwater showplace. Travis and Paul have given us all the tools (information) we needed to make our investment a huge success! The supply of equipment in stock and the selection of fish is second to none in the greater Portland area, we are customers for life! If you are looking for a Tropical fish store in the South-​East Portland area, you must visit CB’s Tropical Aquarium! The place is impressively CLEAN, SMELLS GREAT, and has GREAT VENTILATION, as customers browse through their inventory. We have visited other stores and found that we had to step outside just to breath, while others are so scattered you feel like you’re in a bowl of tropical SOUP. Travis and his Security dog (non aggressive), run a TIGHT SHIP, and although we are novices and bought a 75 gal. tank… WE KNOW QUALITY WHEN WE SEE IT. Travis was patient, attentive, and focused on our goals & budgetary limits even with multiple customers coming in after us (they are even friendly). Parking is plentiful, and the shop is pleasant to the eyes. Don’t go to A to Z Pet Store (their great people), and don’t visit Salt Water Obsessions (they’re great too) — Go to CB and let Travis educate you, and support the direction you want to go in with your hobby. In addition, since we’re so new to this hobby, we will return to Unilocal for a 3 month and 6 month review of how we feel about CB. See you all a few months, & lets hope its not a one time thing. Finally, if you’re wondering why we gave 4 stars, its to give room for the 3 and 6 month experience we are anticipating. They gotta earn it… Right?
