I had an absolutely wonderful time shopping at Charlotte’s for my wedding dress! My consultant, Robin, was very helpful and really listened to what I wanted. She pulled dresses within my budget and that all had elements of things I said that I wanted. Robin helped me find my perfect dress and envision certain alterations I will be making to the dress. Overall, she was very professional, knowledgable, and friendly. I would highly recommend booking an appointment with her at Charlotte’s!
Charlotte’s is a bright and friendly shop with an expansive selection of dresses. I was amazed at how many dresses there were in the silhouette I wanted and with at least one of the elements I wanted (lace, straps/​sleeves, illusion neckline) and all of these dresses were within my low/​modest budget. My dress also came in a couple of months before expected! Unlike at other bridal shops, we were able to take pictures of all of the dresses I tried on!

Charlotte’s was the first stop in my wedding dress search. I went with my mom and 5 bridesmaids, which I was concerned may be too many people, but it wasn’t an issue. They placed us in a large room with chairs for everyone, and the consultant really got to know me, which I liked. She asked questions about my preferences, wedding venue, and fiancé. In addition, I had looked at the Charlotte’s website ahead of time and had pre-​picked dresses, which she brought in. She immediately understood what I was looking for, and didn’t pressure me to try on other styles if I didn’t want to.
I ended up choosing a dress that I didn’t think I was going to like, but I fell in love with. The dress designer was there that day and came in to give me ideas about belts and veils, and we also received a discount.
The one thing I will recommend is that you go EARLY to look for a dress. The one I chose takes 6 – 7 months to order, and then I will have to have alterations done, which Charlotte’s doesn’t do, however, they do provide you with a booklet to take home that outlines vendors who can help you with this.
Overall, GREAT experience. I would highly recommend.

Absolutely blown away by this place!!! Went in for the first time to buy a wedding gown. The first dress they had me try on was The One! I tried on others just to be sure but none felt like the first.
A+ amazing that they got the right dress on the first try. Very nice place. Very accommodating. We’re easy going and let me try in more dresses just to be sure.

The incompetent saleswoman measured incorrectly, stating that the dress would be extra long and ordering a longer style would not be necessary. Unfortunately, she was wrong, and the dress is ¾ inches too short.

The staff at Charlotte’s are hands down the best, and on top of that I got a private room both times I made an appointment. I had a sweet gal named Cat helping me on my first visit there, and she really went above and beyond to help make my experience great. I unfortunately was very ill the day I was supposed to go dress shopping with all my bridesmaids. She was so caring and nice, and even though I was sitting on the floor in my robe feeling like death warmed over, she still managed to make me laugh. We had a private room for my seven bridesmaids and my mother in law to sit in, and I had an EXTRA separate room where Cat brought the dresses and I put them on before going into the other room to show my bridesmaids. She was extremely knowledgable and I could tell she had a lot of experience. She even found me some crackers and bottled water to try to settle my stomach and made sure that we had everything we could possibly want/​need. I felt so terrible that I eventually just had to call it a day and reschedule when I was feeling better. I came back a few weeks later and Cat wasn’t available to my dismay, but Molly took very good care of me and we had a private room again even though I only brought one person with me. Molly really got a great sense of my style after looking at my wedding pinterest board for a few minutes. She was very thorough and actually the very first dress she brought out to me was the one I eventually bought. It was a brand new style that had just come into the shop two days before– so I’m glad I was forced to come back! The dresses were all very affordable and although I shopped exclusively at Charlotte’s, I’ve heard all the horror stories, and I would never go anywhere else!

I said Yes to the Dress at Charlotte’s! The staff was great to work with. The selection of their dresses was large. Super knowledgeable group of girls. They carry Allure, Maggie Sottero, Martina Liani, Essense of Australia, Justin Alexander and many more designer brands. My bridesmaids and I had a very fun experience shopping here.

From the moment my fiancé proposed to me, I started to plan our wedding. Everything, from my bridesmaids to the flowers to what kind of cocktail hour snack I’d want (it was shrimp); and of course, the big question of what my dress would look like was large priority. I began to research various shops, but none came close to Charlottes’ Bridal. From when I called and made the appointment, to when I signed my paperwork, they took care of me. My Bridal Consultant Kat went above and beyond the call of duty. She listened to everything I had to say, she didn’t push me in any direction, and she was firm when she needed to be. I even found the dress I had starred under my favorites on their website! Everything from start to finish was an absolute dream! I knew when I found the dress I was going to be married in, because I couldn’t help but shed tears of joy. I can’t wait to come back when it arrives from the designer. I also want to give a special shout out to everyone working that day; thank you so much for handling my especially large party size; you truly were professional and kind. I had an absolutely wonderful time at Charlotte’s. I was paired up with Molly and she was a total professional. We informed her that I had tried on several (SEVERAL) dresses before coming to Charlotte’s and nothing was quite right. She put me at ease and did an excellent job listening to what I wanted.
I was able to finally find the dress for me. They were extremely considerate and didn’t suggest anything over my stated budget. However, after looking around at some of the dresses, my mom did suggest to Molly to bump up the budget and Molly picked out the perfect dress.
The room was lovely with plush carpet and a bathrobe for me to wear between dresses. The space is much larger than it looks from the street and the back parlor is full of light.
I so enjoyed my time here, they were professional, intelligent, and considerate. When I returned to try my dress on after it was finished I was treated as a VIP, again. I would highly recommend this shop!

We visited many dress shops and should have gone here first. The selection was a perfect amount and a perfect variety. The room was private and accommodating to me and my loved ones. Madison was helpful, supportive, and friendly with lots of great insight. They measured me and I just got my dress, the fit is as perfect as it could be, I’m looking forward to very few alterations :) Thank You Charlottes & Madison!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Charlotte’s Weddings. This was the very first boutique I went to when looking for my wedding dress and every other boutique paled in comparison.
Charlotte’s provides private suites for you and your bridal party which creates such a comfortable and elegant experience. You do change in front of your guests, just FYI, but I wasn’t bothered by that.
Haley was my consultant and was absolutely amazing. She was present but not overbearing, really listened to my wish list for my dress and pulled things I never would have tried on myself but ended up loving. She really knew the inventory they had and got very creative with her pulls. I never felt rushed or pressured. After my visit I’d occasionally get friendly emails from Haley asking how I was doing or if I had any new ideas about my dress. They were never impersonal and were always relevant to my search.
My only complaint is they don’t allow bubbly! Wish they would get an OLCC license so guests can enjoy a glass of champagne to make the experience over the top wonderful.

Love this store. Wonderful experience shopping for a wedding dress for my daughter in law. When my daughter gets married I plan to take her there as well.
The staff is attentive and the have a great selection of dresses

My girlfriends made an appointment for us on a Saturday to do some casual dress shopping. The store itself is laid-​out nicely, organized by designer, and they had some absolutely stunning dresses, and even really cute flower-​girl dresses. What really turned us off, however, was the attitude of a consultant named Robin helping us (or rather, scoffing at us the entire time).
The appointment begins by showing you to a room and asking lots of questions, including budget, what is the theme of your wedding, colors, whether you have dress shopped elsewhere, etc. Of course, with the last question I was honest and said yes, we have been shopping elsewhere, and yes, I did find a dress I really liked, but I wanted to visit several stores before making a decision. I don’t know if that’s what set this woman off, or if it was my pauper $ 1,000-but-hopefully-less-budget, but Robin was extremely rude to us after the interview and the experience was not fun. This person scoffed at almost all the dresses I tried on; my friends took photos and she was in the background making rude faces. She also chose dresses that I did not like, so I asked if my friends/​bridesmaid could pick out some. After some dramatic hesitation and obvious disagreement, she said yes. It was clear she was annoyed with us and we spent the car ride home trying to figure out what it was — needless to say, we won’t be back.

I have nothing but good things to say about Charlotte’s! I came here first with my mom when I got engaged and tried on several dresses. My consultant listened to what I liked and wanted, since I came into Charlotte’s with a specific style/​look in mind. She brought out styles I described and brought out a dress she called a «wild card». I tried it on, like it, but wanted to look else wear, which she recommended to see what I liked/​did not like in terms of dresses.
After going to several dress shops and trying on who knows how many dresses, the wild card dress my consultant brought out at Charlotte’s ended up being «the one». She knew what I liked even before I did! The dress was flawless and the team there is extremely professional and was a pleasure to work with. I would recommend them!

I am giving this place 5 stars mostly because of Molly. This place is great. They have a decent selection and reasonable prices. We did not book the VIP room so you do change in front of your friends and family so keep that in mind if that is a problem for you. But otherwise it was a great experience.
Molly was fantastic. She helped me find the perfect dress in my budget. She by far is the reason this is a 5 star review instead of a 4. She was absolutely wonderful, very friendly, very helpful in finding a dress. Anyone I know who needs a dress, I would recommend them go to Charlotte’s and ask for her.
Now i will say this… I had made a favorite’s list online which I think helped with pulling dresses. However it would have been nice had they had a few of those pulled before I got there. Also I was told to show up early for my appointment. But then we ended up just standing around waiting for our appointment time. I understand you don’t want people showing up late so you tell them to arrive early. However you should actually have something for people to do besides just stand around in the way. Offer them a glass of champagne or sparkling cider or something. Just would have made it a bit more of a special feeling.

I came here on ¹⁄₂₄ and had an amazing experience. Molly was my consultant, and she did a great job. I told her I liked ballgown and mermaid styles with dramatic bottoms. I have very picky tastes and Molly did a good job pulling dresses she thought I would like. A plus are the private rooms with seating for your group and pedestals. That way, you don’t have to come out in front of strangers.
She didn’t pull anything that I had told her I didn’t like. Some consultants think they know better than you, but Molly really listened to my requests. She never made me feel pressured to buy a dress from them, even after I told her I found one I loved at a previous salon.
I didn’t buy a dress that day from any salon, but Molly followed up with me via email, reminding me about an upcoming trunk show. When I asked her if they would have a specific Maggie Sottero dress, she let me know she would request it specifically so I could try it on.

I didn’t buy my dress here, but it was a good experience. walked in and waited for an available consultant.
I found a dress that I loved, but since my wedding is in 3 months, it wasn’t able to be shipped in time, in the color I wanted.
Staff is friendly, very helpful. They have a decent selection of dresses. The consultant helping me was super sweet. She inquired about my wedding & theme, and then applied those details to dresses when pulling them off the shelf for me.

Stopped by Charlotte’s on a whim after having a poor experience at another local salon and
.goodness, what a difference! Madison assisted us and was a complete gem. She was positive, professional and attentive; almost every dress that she brought in was on the mark.
Unfortunately, Portland doesn’t have the demand for high-​end dresses, so Charlotte’s didn’t supply some of the designers I was looking for (hence 4 instead of 5 stars for selection). That being said, they do have some beautiful pieces. Regardless of if I end up purchasing a dress here, I want to come back to get my cathedral veil — the customer service was THAT good.

Bummer. I wanted to have a good experience. The friend bought a wedding dress for herself, and four bridesmaids including myself bought bridesmaids dresses here. Where do I begin? The bridesmaids dresses were «damaged in a sewer flood», and bride’s dress had what looks to be like a urine stain on the front. After multiple trips here with no help and multiple issues with this place, I have to say I’m very disappointed. And very displeased. Once her wedding is over, we will be addressing these issues in a more forceful way. Such a bummer. Don’t go here.

This was hands down the worst wedding experience I’ve had so far. When my family and I walked in we were greeted by two people from a different company that were pressuring us to take their brochures, even after we said we had already hired someone. The woman behind the desk was nice but it took her awhile to even notice me standing there. From that point it all went downhill.
I went to another shop before my appointment and had a very good idea of the dress style I liked. I told my consultant and she said she would pull similar dresses to see if I liked any of theirs more. I thought great, I want to see what else is out there before going with a dress I had loved at the last store.
As I tried on dresses she kept pressuring me to tell her different things about the dress I was trying to «beat,» the designer, style, color, etc. I thought this was fine then she asked where I had found this other dress. I nonchalantly told her where I had gone and she told me the dress I wanted was unavailable and that the previous store had lied to me. I turned pale and was instantly a little put off by what she said. When I asked her what she meant she said that they would take my money, pretend they ordered it then call in a few months and say there was some mix up. Then they would tell me to come in and buy a sample dress. When I pressed her for more information she started back pedaling and said she was «pretty sure» and that’d she need to check with her manager.
She returned and said her manager didn’t think it’d be available, but wasn’t sure which dresses by this designer were still available to order. The consultant went on to say that Charlotte’s had close ties with the designer so they could get it for me. She even said, «We’ll just have to get it to you sooner than they promised, so you buy it from us.» I told the consultant that I would stay loyal to the consultant at the other store and I wasn’t going to be pressured from her. She was notably unhappy to hear that. I was so upset with what she had originally said that I tried on the last two dresses and lipped to my sister that we needed to leave. It wouldn’t have mattered if they had ordered it for me earlier anyway because the cost of the dress was around $ 300 more at this store.
While my family was outside of the room waiting for me to try on dresses they said they heard the girls working there talk about employees and customers very unprofessionally. They said their demeanor and what they were saying was incredibly caddy. Also, those two girls who were badgering us in the front came back to see the dresses I was trying on. My whole family, including me thought it was very strange.
What was truly unfortunate was that they had a great selection of dresses from what I could tell and if the consultant had been more professional there was a dress I think I would have fallen in love with. She tainted the appointment so much by bashing the other shop that I couldn’t really take in the beauty of the dresses I was trying on. I will never recommend Charlotte’s to any brides in the future and actually make an effort to tell them to avoid it.

I went to Charlotte’s for their annual open house on March 5^th and all in all, had a good experience with their staff.
There was a woman there (drawing a blank on her name right now) who answered a lot of my general questions about gowns and how they are constructed.
My only problem was with a few of the vendors they had at their open house, I was rather put off by a few that acted like I did not exist… but that is no fault of Charlotte’s. I have booked an appointment to better view and get an idea of dresses and I am excited to work with them in the future. Of course, I will then come back and update my review ^_^
