Established in 2001.

In 1994 in Kirkland WA. I was a delivery driver for Discount Waterbeds. The owner of the store and i worked out a deal and he allowed me to schedule the stores deliveries… which i would then complete in 2 days. Then i was allowed to use the truck the other 5 days of the week to try to find some of my own work.

My 15 year old daughter made me a «free» sheet of 12 business cards and that was the birth of «marks furniture delivery». With those 12 cards i hit the streets and opened 5 furniture stores.

I was born into a family of furniture manufactures and am the youngest of a big family.

As a kid my job was helping around the factory, cleaning the entire place on Sundays, and then would spend summers working in the trucks that my oldest brother owned and operated. It was at about that time i realized that this would be my future… and i was sure that i wanted to do something else. In 1982 i joined the U.S. Army and was stationed in Ft. Lewis WA. 1^st Special Forces Group.

After my enlistment i decided to make the N.W. my home, i started a family and worked primarily in the furniture industry. then one day i just got tired of working for $ 8.00 an hour and i just knew i could do better. From those days of being incredibly confident, and not knowing any better… i created a business that began with a borrowed truck, and homemade business cards… and 21 years later were still delivering furniture.

Bottom line: don’t use these guys! You’re better off renting a truck from HomeDepot.
The owner of the mattress store they were delivering for had to arrange the delivery time (I was never called by Mark), I had to take time out of work because they were available right then, my house was *literally* 5min away from the store, he suddenly stopped taking credit cards so I had to come up with a check or cash (neither of which I keep), and lastly he refused to come down in price because of all of the inconvenience.

I called mark to set a pick up and drop off, he asked me to text /email him as he was busy. I sent a text with all the information only to have then NOT show up. I called to enquire why they were a no show and he blamed ME for not following up, we scheduled a pick up for the following day at 10am, they showed up at 8am for the pick up which was a pain but ok only to have them miss the connection time with the drop off person at 1030a. Their solution to being early and missing the drop off person they left the furniture on the sidewalk and just by sheer luck it was still there when my uplosterer arrived. When I called mark as to why they left my furniture on the curb he said that I was a liar and my upholster was a crack head… Wtf. DO NOT USE THESE CREEPS, THEY ARE NOTHING BUT SCAMMERS, DEFINITLEY NOT THE TYPE OF PERSON YOU WANT IN YOUR HOME.

DO NOT USE THE DELIVERY GUYS. Don’t do it.
So I called these yahoos because I only needed a handful of things moved-just the large furniture that I couldn’t move my myself. The rest I had intended to move on my own. I spoke with Mark and explained what I needed and he was very nice and helpful. On the day the movers arrived, they were 45 minutes late. Upon arrival, they seemed frazzled and continued to load my boxes despite me telling them multiple times that I didn’t need them to. One of the guys kept walking outside and talking on his cell phone and eventually came back and told me that they were leaving. Immediately. After 15 minutes of packing boxes and stuff I had told them not to. They said they had a regular customer who was more important and then they left. Luckily, I had rented my own truck or I don’t know what wold have happened. I called Mark and he said that I misrepresented the job (I hadn’t) and that they only had an hour and they would’ve been behind all day. I told Mark that they had been packing everything despite me telling them they didn’t need to. We ended up yelling at one another until I finally hung up out of exasperation. It occurred to me later that they had left promptly at 9, which is probably why they couldn’t actually stay because they were late getting there in the first place. Pretty awesome, right? I had a truck half packed and no help. These guys are a joke.

We used this service to move our REALLY heavy furniture from the Troutdale area to the Oregon City area. I called them at what I thought was the last minute and they were able to accommodate my request on what I’m sure is a super busy Saturday for them. They were prompt (miraculous in this day and age), courteous, and VERY reasonably priced. They took great care with our furniture and finished way faster than I was expecting.
You can’t rent a truck and cajole friends into helping for the price that we paid for these two professionals to come and move the furniture.
I have highly recommended them and will continue to do so. They took a lot of stress off of our move.

I receive an illegal, automated solicitation from Mark Marrero at The Delivery Guys every time I post a Furniture For Sale posting on Craigslist, despite my requesting no solicitations and emailing him to desist. His solicitations ask that I refer him to my buyers when I sell my items. I can only assume he is sending these solicitations to other sellers as well. Any company that uses illegal solicitations as a form of advertising gets an «F» in my book. Businesses and potential consumers, beware.

I have been using this moving service for my customers for the past year and they are the best! The owner Mark Marrero is prompt with his follow up call to let me know when to expect pick up of the item. The Lead Mover Keski Kashi and his assistant are professional and friendly in demeanor and move quickly and efficiently. I have had heavy furniture, fragile items, large and bulky items and no matter what, they handled all with ease, carefully wrapping each item and all of my customers have been happy upon their item’s arrival. Also, they are very prompt, when they give you a «window» of arrival they seem to be either right on time or early, and always call in advance to let you know if they are running early or late, which is extremely helpful. Their rates seem to beat the competition and I love the convenience and flexibility it gives to my customers.
