Nice to be able to taste crab when you bite into a crab puff! I got the basal fried rice and the pod Thai both are very good medium spice is low on the medium heat scale. Crossing Lombard was one of the most difficult task of getting to this place if you’re going, park on the same side of the restaurant as Lombard traffic does not wait for anyone.

I love this place! I always get the Glass Noodle Pad Thai with tofu. It is a light dish. I love noodles so this satisfies my craving. I do like pad thai but if you don’t want usual pad thai flavor this is the dish to get. I have tried the chicken satay and pad see ew with beef. Both tasty and my kids love these two dishes. I have only ordered for pick up so I am not versed to talk about the wait service. Other than that, ordering to go right when it opens or after the dinner rush, we get food pretty quickly. I wound definitely recommend trying this place!

First time at this new NoPo restaurant. Quick service, although the food didn’t come out all at once, it came out pretty close together. It was hot, fresh and tasty. I liked that when I ordered a vegetarian dish the gal asked if egg was okay. I appreciated her thoughtfulness. They have many vegetarian options and even vegan choices. Mostly self serve(water, utensils and condiments) and very friendly customer service. It was a clean place with street parking. There were a couple of infrared heaters that made the dining experience comfortable.

I love Drunken Noodle! =D Its been down the street from me for ages and I never knew about this place because its so tiny. Small establishment, BIG flavor & portions! Awesome Pad See Ew. I live to have it with med. spice & beef, or if I’m going there for my hang-over meal, its mild with chicken lol The BEST egg rolls in town.

Yeah so ignore the busted out window and the heating lamps, this place is on point! I have been looking for decent Thai in Nopo for some time and dissapointed most. This place even has Nam Khao/Crispy Fried Rice! And yes crab puffs are pretty good!

Crab puffs, drunken noodles, and basil fried rice are all amazing. I think it’s the best fried rice I’ve ever eaten. Happy to have them in the hood.

Red curry, green curry, and chicken phở. They err on the side of spicy, which I love. The red and green curry are absolutely delicious. The phở broth is fantastic but the mix needs jalapeños. I wonder what the little white balls are — scallops? I like the ambience. A little bit of new Portland come to Saint John’s — chalkboard menu, counter service, unassuming. Just my kind of place.

This place is quite delicious! I saw it not too long ago and then couldnt find it again when I tried. Then the brilliat idea of trying Unilocal came to mind. My friend and I got some pad thai and one of the bowls with vermicelli, meat and a spring roll. Something like that. Everything was quite good. The spring rolls were really tasty and I am often dissapointed in those. I’m so excited this place has moved in. I hope they stay. I hope you go there and support them. I hope it warmer the next time I go. I hope they make the seating better. I hope they offer combo/lunch specials…

GREAT food! Portland needs more places like this! The drunken noodle dishes were fantastic and the crab puffs were incredible! Service was also great. The only reason for not giving this a full 5 stars would be that it was very very cold in there… make it a little more warm and cozy and it will be perfect.

What I consumed: curry dish, crab wontons and peanut sauce Food Quality: very good! 4 stars out of 5! Environment: nothing to write home about. Service: very good and friendly. Appearance: see environment comment Overall: the food and service are great! The ambiance and appearance could use some work. Probably the best place in North Portland to get Thai.

Excellent! Food is always fresh and tasty. Fried rice– one of my favorites in Portland. The grilled chicken with noodles is also a winner. Happy they moved into the neighborhood!

I love Thai food and I LOVE that DN has opened so close to my house. Hubby and I have been 3x so far and loved our dishes. We ate in once and take-out the other times. Atmosphere is very casual, service has been great. Be patient if it’s a busy night as even with all hands on deck, the line to order can be 5 – 6 deep plus phone-in orders interrupting the lone cashier slow down counter orders. I’ve only seen it crazy busy 1 one of out of my 3 visits, which is a great sign of how quickly they are becoming a neighborhood fave. Kid friendly with high chairs. Enjoyed the noodle bowl with grilled pork and spring roll.. and the chicken satay was tender and flavorful. Hubby enjoyed his red snapper curry which is one of the current specials. I predict we are gonna become regulars!

This review is based on one visit. I was excited this place opened just down the street. NoPo needs mo, yo know? I read some positive reviews and was looking forward to trying drunken noodles for the first time. I was going to try the crab puffs but noticed crab was spelled with a k. Instead, I tried the chicken satay. This appetizer was quite good. Just what you’d expect and I really liked the way they were cooked. Wonderful flavor and texture. Served with peanut sauce, of course. I opted for tofu in my drunken noodles which was $ 9. I’m no expert on this dish so I don’t know what’s «authentic.» All I can say is the dish was piping hot, an ample portion, and extremely delicious. The only nit, which was minor, is that the tofu was a little limp. Maybe if it was crisped? Either way, I’ll definitely order this again. The woman who took our order was excellent. She brought the appetizer out so we could enjoy it while waiting for the main dishes, which arrived in a timely manner. The place was clean and the kitchen looked good. During our meal a friendly man(cook? owner?) came to check on us. We gave him an enthusiastic thumbs up. Drunken Noodle is a welcome addition to our neighborhood. We’ll be back.

Unfortunately wasn’t too impressed with the place. Maybe it’s what I ordered but it wasn’t as good as other drunken noodle dishes I’ve had. I had drunken noodle with tofu. There were probably 4 pieces of tofu in the whole dish. The vibe inside is rather boring. You can sit next to a window that looks into someone’s yard? I’m not sure but it’s weird. The prices are a bit high if you ask me. There’s no lunch special so you’re paying about 10 bucks plus tip no matter which way you look at it. Probably won’t go back sadly

I just got back from Thailand so I feel more prepared than ever to review a Thai restaurant. This place cooks everything fresh like it should be. I know this because you can see them cook it. I was really pleased about this as I know some places have popular dishes, much like Thailand street food, already cooked and they just warm it in the wok. I highly recommend getting the crab wontons. They are delicious and only $ 5 for six of them. The noodles here are good, light on the oil which I like and tastes fresh. The flavor though was lacking in my dish a tad. Overall it’s one of the best Thai places I’ve been to in Portland and a great addition to my neighborhood! (Oh and the prices are medium. It’s $ 10 for chicken pad Thai.)

This is now my favorite Thai Food in N and NE Portland. The owner is super nice, the food is excellent, and the prices fair. Will definitely be back.

This place is a great addition to the neighborhood! Lots of good options. Noodle dishes, curries, stir fries and even phở. Had the pad see ew($ 9) and it was pretty good. Nice and hot. Could have used more veggies in it. The drunken noodles were even better. Definitely a must try.
