Really sweet couple running the cart, awesome-tasting food. Only drawback is the slim portions given for the money charged.

What a delight. I just happened upon it by accident and saw someone else’s food. It was a superb bowl of «mashed» eggplant that had been roasted with garlic, onion, zucchini,(I think) and then recooked with olive oil and mashed so it was like ratatouille except smooth, and better. Served with grilled Grand Central bread, rubbed with olive oil. He also gave me a taste of cauliflower he was sauteing with olive oil and garlic and finished with lemon and smoked paprika. Heavenly. He wasn’t open the last two times I was in Portland, but it was cold and rainy. He had mentioned that he was going to visit Spain and scout out more recipes. Hope he does and next time I’m back, I’ll look for him.

I am originally from Madrid, Spain, and this place is as authentic as it gets on this side of the Atlantic. Delicious food with a touch of magic.

This is as good as I hoped it would be. My husband is from Sevilla and we have never found a restaurant that comes anywhere close to what he and his mother make — until we found this. We went as soon as we heard about it. This place is honestly as authentic as it gets. Besides the food, though, I was so impressed by the beautiful cart. The owner told us it was a labor of love he built as therapy after his father passed. He event incorporates some of this father’s things into the cart design. You can tell how much love and care was put into it just as you can tell how much care he puts into the food. i want this place to become so popular that they are forced to open a bigger restaurant and they can use the cart to travel around Portland gypsy style. Go here.
