Famous for our Fish & Chips, we start with Alaskan Cod which we hand cut, batter and serve fresh to you. Crispy on the outside, flaky on the inside and ready to dip in house-​made tarter sauce. The rest of our menu includes Angus beef burgers, homemade soups and more.

History

Established in 1976.

Gaffer’s opened their doors on Good Friday of 1976 and Fish & Chips in Tigard meant Gaffers. Alice Schniebal took over in 1988 bringing in even more tasty treats including the Chicken Fettuccini, Mexi Salad and Turkey Melt. The place was am immediate hit with the local families in Tigard and word soon spread that Gaffer’s was the place for world-​class fish and chips and home-​style cooking.

Chris has been serving up drinks and witty banter at Gaffers for so long it seems like she has always been there. In this picture she is with another one of our bartender/waitress’s –Casey. Both are quick with a welcoming smile and quick service.
