I can’t praise Dr. Geelan and his staff enough. We just moved to Portland three days ago and the night before we got here, my husband came down with an abscessed/​infected root canal. Worst pain of his life! He got sick on a Friday night so we weren’t able to contact Dr. Geelan’s office until Monday. A friend of a friend referred us to his office. Geelan Dental got my husband in ASAP and sat with us and explained all our options in a friendly and kind way. I felt like family. We decided to get treatment in a few more days. Later that night (around midnight), we ended up having to contact Dr. Geelan on his cell phone because of the increasing pain and he got my husband in the next morning, before they were even open, to perform an emergency extraction. Plus, he was willing to meet us at the office in the middle of the night if we needed him but we waited until the morning. I’ve dealt with dentists all over the country and Dr. Geelan’s crew can be trusted 100%. I’m so thankful we found them and we’re happy to say we’ve found our dentist in PDX. Seriously cannot thank these guys enough. Plus, we never felt cheated or like we were being taken advantage of financial in any way. The receptionists are also the sweetest. Quit your dental search. You’ve found the right place.

Nobody likes to go to the dentist but it must be done unless you want your teeth to fall out. That being said, if you must go to the dentist, why not go someplace where you will receive quality care in a professional and caring environment? Dr. Geelan and his staff fit the bill. I was very pleased with the care I received and I will be going back for my regular cleaning. Plus if you work downtown, the location couldn’t be any more convenient. Don’t let your teeth fall out. Go see Dr. Geelan!

Dr. Geelan and his staff are always friendly and helpful, and take their time to do an excellent job. My teeth always look and feel exceptionally clean when I leave, and I feel very confident that the health of my smile is in good hands.
Out of the five dentists I’ve had in my life, this is by far my favorite.
I started going to this practice in 2010 when it was headed by Dr. Canfield, who has since retired. Dr. Canfield and his excellent and knowledgeable hygienists always did a great job for me, including saving my tooth when another dentist was telling me I needed a root canal and crown. That filling is still doing just fine, and I am SOOO glad I came here for a second opinion… I just wish I’d come here first!
Since taking over the practice, Dr. Geelan has maintained the great service I have come to expect. The same excellent hygienists are still providing extremely thorough cleanings, and he continues the legacy of providing thoughtful, individualized service. He always does a good job of informing me of everything that he sees and does in my mouth. He clearly describes treatment options so I can make informed decisions, and is never pushy. They are also very conscious of the costs of services, and clearly discuss these as well.
My trust in Dr. Geelan was further boosted last summer when one of my wisdom teeth became infected. He could have removed it himself and collected the payment, but he instead referred me to an oral surgeon, since the nerve was a little close to the root.
This is a practice that will really take care of you, with the goal of having you as a life-​long patient. In my opinion, you can’t ask for anything more.

Dr. Geelan is world-​class in his approach to patient care and also extremely thorough when it comes to the right plan and maintenance on teeth. There never is a long wait with an appointment, and everyone in the office is very nice.

Dr. Geelan is a very talented Dentist! The staff is very professional and caring, I wouldn’t waste my time going anywhere else.

Dr. Geelan is the BEST! I love that he actually wants what’s best for you, not just what would cost the most to do. He is open to creating a long– term «life» plan that prioritizes what you need to have done first and then goes from there. I wasn’t sure about him replacing my retired dentist whom I loved, but I feel like my old dentist made sure I was in good hands. Dr. Geelan is the bomb! :)

I had a fantastic experience with Dr. Aron Geelan and his staff. They all made it a very pleasant experience and put me at ease. He went into great detail with my short term and long term treatment plan. I highly recommend Geelan Dental!
