I love coming here for all my hair services. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming and all the staff are very pleasant especially Cynthia who is an amazing stylist and Gerae who always cuts my son’s hair exceptional.

Been getting my hair cut here since 2008 by the same barber. That says a lot.
I’m as picky as it gets with the little hair I have left. Barbers here know their trade.

Paul is an amazing cutter. He cut my husbands hair amazing and with genuine talent.
Shop is a comfortable environment and filled with laughs.
Good prices.
Great location-​Surrounded by many other shops =)
There are both stylist and barbers and offers a variety of services for all types of hair and desire for beauty.
We were walk ins and there was no wait.

I’ll have to give this place an additional star. Why? Because I never have to bother with making an appointment. Being from the south I’m just not used to making an appointment to get my haircut. Plus there is nothing worse than making an appointment and having the barber be late. The longest I’ve had to wait for a haircut was maybe 25 – 30 mins, and that’s worth the extra star in my book since I have to drive all the way from Beaverton.

This place rocks. I’ve been bringing my daughter here for almost a year and I am ever so grateful I found it and Paul Jr.
It’s not fancy. It’s not pristine clean. It’s even got bars on the windows and doors given its location in North East Portland.
That said, it is staffed by vibrant, exuberant, friendly people who know exactly what they are doing when it comes to African American hair. Paul Jr. has been a life-​saver in helping me with my daughter’s nappy hair. He’s calm and deals very diplomatically with a white mom’s shortcomings in the black hair department. I never feel judged for my lack of knowledge. LOVE it.
Cash only with our stylist. Not sure if it’s the same with everyone in the shop.

Oh my, the place sucks, most unprofessional even managment dosen’t give a dammed as long as you pay. The stylest are always late they play
, are disrespectful, text, talk on phone while doing hair, take breaks before they finish your hair. And, they do 3 – 4 people at once therefore you are there for 5 hours for what should take maybe 2 hours.
I would never go back. Sadly they are always referred to né people in the area.

The girls do hair good but dealing with their attitudes is neither professional nor worth the visit. I have been torn between wanting my hair done well or getting professional friendly service.
