Heritage School of Interior Design provides a career education training program for interior designers. Our Certification Program provides students with the fundamentals of Interior Design, and our newly developed AutoCAD and Drafting & Rendering Program allows students to further develop their skill set and advance in their career. We have a 98% placement rate and a 100% retention rate of students.
History
Established in 1996.
Heritage School of Interior Design was founded in 1996 by Jan Springer. The business was purchased by the current owner, Stephanie Plymale in November 2014 when Jan retired. It is now located at 4039 N. Mississippi Ave Suite 208 Portland, OR 97 227, a fun and vibrant part of the city. Classes resume in April 2015, including the traditional Certification Program and the newly developed AutoCAD Program and Drafting & Rendering Program. We have a 100% retention rate and a 98% placement rate in the 20 year history of the school. The school has graduated hundreds of successful interior designers including Jennifer Adams who starred on My First Place on HGTV.

Stephanie P.
Business Owner
Stephanie has more than 20 years of Interior Design experience and is an active member of the Oregon Entrepreneurs Network. After her successful career as an independent designer, she worked as an in-home designer at Calico Home where she was a top producing designer nationally. Since then, Stephanie’s passion has turned from working as an Interior Designer to developing aspiring designers. To achieve this goal she received certification as a Master Coach from Baraka Institute along with a mastery in Makeup Artistry, Hair Design. The inspiration behind this continued education was to provide career development and image consulting services, which she does as a volunteer trainer with Dress for Success Oregon and now at Heritage School of Interior Design. Stephanie is devoted to the highest quality education and making it accessible to anyone who wants to start or enhance their career in Interior Design by providing the classes and tools students need to be successful.
