Dr. DeVasto and Daiva LMT offer a unique hands-​on approach to treating my aches and pain. I feel they work well together diagnosing my issues and apply therapy that works! I also appreciate their ability to find a time slot that works for me.

I’m always so nervous when it comes to finding a new Chiropractor as several of my friends have ended up in worse condition when going to them but I was beyond thrilled when I found Hosmer Chiropractic Health! I see Dr. Justin Jelen there and he is like a wizard. He not only adjusts my neck/​back but does some deep tissue work and this team walks me though some step by step at home exercise. They also have deep tissues massage which most insurance companies cover. I highly recommend going to them.

I can’t say enough about how awesome my experience with Dr. Hosmer’s clinic was. After seeing a number of different providers, with no relief, for a bulged disc and the associated issues that followed, I finally found someone that knew what to do. This wasn’t a typical a chiropractor experience, no cracking of the back or anything, but over the course of a few visits, and being diligent with my exercises, my severe back pain was alleviated.
Remember, no matter the injury, healing takes time and effort on the patient’s part. Don’t expect to walk in with chronic pain and walk out an hour later totally healed. If you’re willing to put in the effort to get better, Dr. His met and his staff will no doubt get you to where you want to go.

I came in to Hosmer after a lower back injury in the gym. Everyone there is amazing and so helpful. I worked mainly with Dr. Jelen and he was great. The combination or adjustments, massage therapy and mobility exercises got me back in the gym within a few weeks and I also feel like I am much more aware of how to take care of my body. I would recommend them to anyone!

Dr. Jelen provided treatment on my first visit that immediately relieved some of my symptoms, which felt amazing and gave me hope for continued improvement. The massage tech really listened to what I said about where my pain was located and targeted those areas (in my experience this is rare) and the exercise therapist gave me exercises that not only felt good while I was doing them but were easy to remember (there are also videos to reinforce what to do). I left the clinic believing that some pain relief was possible, which made me think there was hope I wouldn’t need to spend the rest of my life focused on pain.
I know this sounds overly dramatic but if you’re in pain you know that one of the things your fear is that it will always be like this. You forget there might be things you can do to decrease pain and increase mobility and you lose faith in working toward any solutions. I have several M.D. doctors in my family and they’re the first to admit they are not trained to help people deal with chronic pain. They can prescribe invasive and expensive tests. They used to prescribe drugs to alleviate pain but that’s no longer in fashion and good luck if you have a bulging disc! They will do expensive and not always helpful (except temporarily) steroid injections, but too often they make you feel like you’ve brought this upon yourself and don’t deserve help.
I am not miraculously cured. I do have significant improvement of my symptoms and that really means a lot. My insurance does cover a large portion of the treatment and I’ve thought about whether I would still come (albeit much less often) if it were all out of pocket. Different people have different issues and responses to treatments, and I don’t know if this clinic will help everyone who tries it based on my recommendation. I hope it does. If not, don’t give up. That’s the lesson I learned. Try another treatment. Maybe you have to live with the pain but maybe there is something you can try that offers some relief. I tend to be one of those people who reads research studies and am a big believer in evidence-​based medicine, but I’m also someone who believes my experiences are real and if I think I feel better, it’s because I feel better. I advised my spouse to try out treatment her, and though he is one of the M.D.s of which I spoke, suspicious of alternative treatments, he has also found relief in the treatments. Shout out to the exercise and massage therapists. All together, coming here has been a healing experience.

I have had some of the best treatment I have ever experienced while I was working with the people at Hosmer. I have been to a number of chiropractors throughout my life but this one makes the most sense to me, combining treatment, massage and therapy in one office. I worked with Dr. Jelen when I visited and always had a pleasant experience. Everyone here is always super nice and easy to get along with, I’m pretty sad that I’ve moved across the country and have to go somewhere else now.

Very expensive first visit with very little treatment was $ 378
The next three visits were approx $ 315,00 $ 315.59, $ 367.00, not sure why i was billed more for the 4^th visit.
The last 3 visits included massage and treatment. The first two massage were worthless really did not focus on the issues i had, there most be NO discussion between the doctor and the massage person. The third visit was a lot better.
The last three treatment visits included 5 minutes of talking and 5 minutes of treatment all for about $ 331.38 per visit big rip off, I’m in the wrong business
When i initially talked to them about the services and time they provided they said they are not crack and go type of office, which they are. Also they said the treatments would be be between 20 – 25 minutes, it was actually about 5 minutes of treatment.
Nothing improved was still in a lot of pain and out some money…
I have since went to a psychical therapist which has greatly improved my pain.

I was in a car accident and needed to find a chiropractor. I found Hosmer Chiropractic Health online and liked that it was easy to get to with public transportation and excepted my progressive insurance. I was able to make an appointment within a week and was amazed by my experience. The staff is friendly, fast and efficient. I like how everyone works well as a team and are there to help you get better. I’ve noticed such a huge improvement with my recovery in just the first week alone. I love how they will explain and talk through everything with you and also teach you things to do at home. I highly recommend getting a massage with your visit. The massage therapists are amazing and always make me feel better with more mobility.

Dr. Hosmer is fantastic! Aside from the professional and effective in-​office care, the exercises and home-​care instructions truly help and allow the healing to stick. I highly recommend this office, and especially for cyclists. Dr. Hosmer understands the activity and demands it has of your body and facilitates your recovery to allow you to get back to top form quickly and safely. Bonus points that it’s now in network with Moda!

After being rear ended and thrown from my motorcycle my bak was severely hurt. I had never been to a chiropractor before so I had my doubts. These guys were AMAZING!!! After one month of treatment, and following up at home as directed, my back felt perfect!!! Two years later, I’m still golden! Thanks Hosmer! You’re the best!

Have been seeing Dr. DeVasto and Dr. Hosmer for a few years now. Cannot say enough good things about this clinic. They are able to get me back into shape and have been really helpful with providing tips on home care and physical therapies that keep me pain-​free for longer. Plus their massage therapists are all excellent. Highly recommended!

Received a response from the owner apologizing for the poor treatment from staff and assuring us the bike and toys in the lobby and window are for exploration and learning as we thought they were. The response was professional and warm. Kudos.

I have always been impressed with Dr. Hosmer and his team. His massage therapist Matt is excellent as well. They take the time to verify your insurance and are up front about all costs and treatments. Dr. Hosmer uses a variety of techniques and technology to ease my back pain as well as teaches me exercises and stretches to stay healthy. He also helped fit né on my new bike which is now more comfortable to rise. His office is easy to find, clean and modern interior, and staff is friendly. If you need a chiropractor or massage I would check them out for sure!

Very dissappinted in quality of care I received. Came in with severe pain in my right arm and shoulder and left hip. After a brief exam and questions the Dr announces he was perplexed. Told me I needed an ultra sound and wanted me to work with the PT on some stretches. Told me he was going to do a good tape of my arm to stabilize it. Stretched out my hip (made it worse) no adjustment at all and a simple back stretch. No tapering of my arm and he said if I was in pain to go to a zoom clinic and get pain meds. After 180.00. Not good

I called this clinic today to see if I would be covered under insurance. Unfortunately they are out of network with mine but the person I talked to was extremely helpful! She got my benefits within the same day and even referred me to another office that was in network. Although I’m not going here I have an appointment the same week. That’s what I call customer service!

I was in a car accident a few years ago and went to Shepherd Clinic as part of my recovery. I didn’t make any progress and the adjustments I received were with a little hammer where they tapped my spine. I never really felt any different.
I eventually somewhat recovered and my colleague recommended Hosmer to me. I decided to give them a try, and I have been FLOORED with the quality of care, and improvements I’ve seen in a few short months!
Dr. Devasto is really personable and asks a lot of questions and spends time with you, seems truly engaged. He’ll show you home care techniques to keep things on track, and always makes me feel better with a good adjustment or two. Also, their massage therapists are excellent. They really listen to you and focus on the areas you want to focus on to help improve your life.
I’ve been training for a marathon and coming to Hosmer every other week for maintenance work and I can honestly say I think they’ve been a huge part of staying healthy through strenuous fitness endeavors. I highly recommend!

I decided to go to Hosmer Chiropractic because I was getting feedback from other yoga teachers about some asymmetries in body. I wanted to be sure I was helping rather than hindering my practice. It’s so important for me to understand my own body and what is considered safe movement, so that I can be a good student, and even better teacher. Dr. Hosmer’s initial assessment was incredible. Not only was I able to learn more fully about what I had been experiencing in my body, but he provided support through adjustments and at home tools that I could use for exercises that would support the places where I am overly tight. After just 3 visits my practice became more sustainable, and I learned things I could share with my yoga community as well. Dr. Hosmer was very personable and a great resource for training the body to move with greater range of motion. He even uses modifications of some yoga poses for treatment! When talking about the use of asana as a tool for healing he demonstrated his urdva danurasana (wheel) pose for the whole staff. I highly recommend going in for a visit, it’s truly a lifestyle improvement from all angles.

I was having back pain after spending too much time at work in an uncomfortable chair. Dr. Hosmer was very helpful solving the problems and giving me advice on helpful stretches to do at home. No more back pain — and the sessions were fully covered by insurance.

I got into an accident September 5^th, 2013 and saw three other chiropractors, massage therapists and other doctor’s to find some sort of relief or healing plan. Nothing seemed to really be beneficial or help with relieving my muscle tension or neck/​back pain. When I started seeing Dr. Hosmer, I was very excited to start seeing some results. I would get sore after other people’s adjustments but I never get sore after seeing Dr. Hosmer. I really enjoy the location and atmosphere. Not to mention it’s well decorated ;] If you haven’t gone already, you’re missing out.

I’ve had recurring low-​back problems for several years, and I have seen about a dozen chiropractors and massage therapists. After a recent back-​tastrophe, by far the worst ever, I paid a visit to Dr. Phil Devasto at Hosmer. I had known Dr. Phil, personally, for a couple of years, but never as a patient. Today was my second visit in as many weeks, since my injury. An injury that left me wailing like a little baby, barely even able to move well enough to get to the bathroom… just absolute agony. Today I am 95% pain free. Seriously. The fastest recovery time I’ve ever had, which is especially significant, given the severity of the pain.
Dr. Phil takes a much more proactive approach than any of my previous chiropractors. There’s a bit of the typical adjustments, but the emphasis is on stretching, both in and out of the office. He was careful to explain to me exactly what was happening to my body, and taught me several exercises and stretches meant to address the injury and prevent a relapse. My recovery is largely in my hands, which I appreciate. So again, barely two weeks since my last injury, I am mostly pain free and able to resume my usual active lifestyle. I likely won’t even need another visit, provided I am diligent with the stretching and exercises prescribed.
Some bonus features: The office space at Hosmer is SUPER cool. Far and away the nicest I’ve seen. They also have a growing list of videos on their website that teach their various stretching techniques. They’re really helpful, especially for people like me whose memories for such things can be more than a little fuzzy.
I very highly recommend Dr. Phil. He’s the best I’ve seen. Really cool guy, too.
