Horrible experience! Please avoid at all cost! I have great insurance and they charged me double what other places would, even though he is an «in-​network provider». Never have I paid so much for such awful work. Dr. Ward hums music in your ear, does all the mundane work that a hygienist should be doing, over-​charges, and pushes bogus, expensive work, with all the precision of a calculator and a post-​it note. I’ve never had any of my other competent dentists make any of the outrageous recommendations he made. Money hungry and crooked. It baffles me how he is still in business. This is the first review I’ve ever written. I felt the need to warn people.

I hate to, but I unfortunately have to downgrade my review of this clinic based on recent experiences. I have genetically not great teeth and have had lots of problems. Dr. Ward seems like a really nice guy and the work they did do, mainly an extraction and some cleanings, was fine. However, I have to agree with other reviewers that he isn’t good at diagnostics, has very old equipment and his office staff at times seems uncaring and can’t seem to handle billing insurance companies.
About five years ago, when I lived in Austin, a dentist there told me I had a back tooth that was going bad very slowly but that if I kept flossing, I would have it for a few more years. During my several visits to this clinic, I kept wondering why they never noticed this tooth. The first part of this year, I’ve had health issues with an infected lymph gland and then an extremely painful sinus infection. When I went to Dr. Ward for this, he told me my root canal needed to be re-​done and that «we just have to narrow down things until we find out what is causing the pain. » Two days later, I went to a new dentist near my office, who has state of the art equipment. The first thing they mentioned was the back tooth my Austin dentist had warned me about. They said it was super infected, that it needed to be removed and was most likely the cause of all the health issues I had been having. They also said the tooth with the root canal was «beautifully done» and fine, the dentist mentioned she would love to claim it was her work because it was such a good job.
So yes, Dr. Ward doesn’t seem to know what he’s doing unless it’s really basic work.
Also, he was going to charge me $ 100 more than the new dentist is charging for deep cleanings. He used to let me come in late in the afternoons and no longer does that, and also now charges a large deposit fee for Saturday appointments.
I will say they were very nice about refunding my Saturday deposit when I gave advance notice that I was cancelling the appointment.
Last year, they had a person working in their office who gave me a really hard time when I cancelled a Saturday appointment and another person called to tell me they couldn’t get a response from my insurance company and were just going to write off one of my bills. Weird.
If you live very close to this location, have great teeth and just need some cleanings, they would probably be fine for you. Otherwise, I would avoid this office.

I went to Dr Ward for an exam and had a horrible experience. Left waiting for an hour, left with my mouth propped open while he must have taken a lunch break or something, it seemed like forever. They told me an entire procedere would be done that day so I arranged time off work and the money I expected to pay, only to find out when we were done, that I was to come back the next day and oh ya, pay more money! Well, this was a total surprise to me, a second day? Not only did I not have the cash to pay, but didn’t take the time off work. I went to another dentist, got it done for a fraction of the price in a clean place and was given respect. I went to Green Apple. After I voiced my concern and told them I would not be coming back, he tried to charge me for 100 percent of the services even though I only had that one day of work done. After that, he thought it’d be funny to spam me for a year and he must have told his staff to do it because when I would ask him to unsub be, they would right condescending or snarky things back to me. I couldn’t believe the lack of respect they had for customers. He is crazy and I caution any woman who might go under his care. Run the other way.

The staff is incompetant and could care less about its patients… The doctor has horrible bedside manner. They are sneaky about their charges. I waited over an hour for a simple procedure, in the dentists chair. The dentist has no clue how to talk to customers and offer no apologies for his mess ups. These guys are horrible and don’t give them your email address– they spam like crazy on top of everything else.
