History

Established in 1955.

I’ve Been Framed Annex is a family owned frame shop in the Laurelhurst area of Portland, OR. The Annex location opened in 2002 on 39^th ave and moved to Ash St in 2003. I’ve Been Framed has been around for almost 60 years and we love serving artists of all kinds. Bob Brisack started Art Supply Center in 1955, which eventually evolved into I’ve Been Framed. For many years he had one business adventure after another, with various partners, and an amazing array of business, mostly all art related. He sold IBF to his son Mark in 2003 and it remains a family operated business.

IBF has grown from a tiny room to multiple stores. We have always offered unique services like buying used art supplies, large wholesale lots of damaged or salvage goods, and artist’s estates. We love serving artists and have a friendly and knowledgeable staff at both of our locations.

Prairie C.

Manager

Prairie is the General Manager & Head Buyer at I’ve Been Framed. She’s been with IBF for almost 20 years and has worked all aspects of the company at one time or another. She is an artist as well, dabbling in almost everything over the years. She currently enjoys Acrylic painting, book making, and writing. She loves finding the best deals on art supplies, discovering new products, and learning technical information on our current products. She is also known for making nerdy spreadsheets and enjoys finding ways to make things operate more efficiently. Prairie loves working with customers, helping employees, and just about every other part of the business.
