Oh man… do yourself a favor and get the Vietnamese meatball hum bao. It’s huge, so don’t over-order. I got it with the chili noodles(also amazing) and it was a little too much. Great atmosphere, nice people, and my wife(who lived in Laos) says that it is the most authentic SE Asian food she’s had in the states.

When the line is too long elsewhere, consider Jade Bistro for Khao Soi or Beef Curry that rivals the others and peaks your tastebuds all the way down to the bottom of the bowl. The Udon with Pork and Crab is so sophisticated that the after taste questions what makes this so distinctive.

Jade is consistently some of he best food in Portland. Seriously. I love the fresh wide rice noodles! And i love that they are so careful with food allergies! Everything about this place(food, service and ambiance) is wonderful! I can never recommend it enough!

Love this place! Great food and variety of food options. Food — everything I’ve had here was really good! Their sandwiches, noodles, and soups are very tasty. Main thing I love is the presentation of their dishes! They make the plates very beautiful. Service — you have to order at the front and then seat yourself. I always feel like I’m being rushed to order. They don’t have good customer service, so don’t expect to be taken care of. The good thing though is that the food comes out quickly and you don’t have to bus your own table. Ambiance — I like the ambiance here a lot. It’s casual, but classy. It’s really beautiful if you take a moment to appreciate the décor. They have a covered outdoor area, the main room, and the upstairs too. Cost — fair prices! 7 – 12 $ for most everything.

My husband and I were in the neighborhood, and I had this place bookmarked to try out. We weren’t too hungry, so we shared a bowl of Coconut Rice Noodle Soup($ 11). I’m so glad we did! First of all, it was delicious! Secondly, it was huge! I saw a couple other dishes being served at the tables around us, and they are all generous portions. If you are close enough with the person you are dining with, I encourage you to share an entrée and save room and money for dessert. We had a giant sesame ball with caramel sauce(a first), and my kids had macarons and cupcakes. You definitely get your money’s worth here! I can’t wait to try the rest of their menu.

This is a great place to get Amazing Vietnamese and Thai. The sesame balls are awesome! FYI: They usually have long lines. Go before 12PM for lunch to get in and out soon.

Consistently delicious! I recommend the grilled sesame beef, fried red snapper, fresh wide rice noodles, truffle oil fries… The list goes on and on. Don’t forget to grab some dessert as well! They put an inventive spin on the typical desserts with the caramel sauce for the sesame balls and the wafer layer on the wedding cake. I wished I lived closer, I could eat here everyday.

Overall I like the food there! It’s very busy on a Friday night. We went in with a high expectation because we were here one time but didn’t pay attention to the business hours, it’s closed when we wanted to try the first time. We were very hungry so we ordered a little bit more then usual. We ordered spring rolls and Banh Bot Loc for appetizers, crab and shrimp fired rice and pan fried chicken wings for main courses. Spring rolls was bigger then we imaged and its was excellent. Love the sauce! Banh bot loc was ok because I think it’s a little bit too thick and chewy even the staff warned us about the chewy part. It’s still too chewy but taste was fine. Absolutely love crab and shrimp fried rice and chicken wings were both excellent. Only downside was the wait on ordering and food arrival time. It’s super busy so it’s a little bit slow but I love the food was served hot. Due to the long queue at order counter, we had to skip desert. We will go back to try it again for sure.

This place is clean, hip, modern, and tasty. Started with the spring rolls with shrimp and chicken. Big rolls and fresh. Had the lemongrass chicken dish after. Also a big portion and full of different flavors. Looking forward to coming back here and trying other goodies on the menu.

I loved everything I ate here! The red velvet whoopie pie, the side salad, a bite of the cashew chicken & the Tom glass noodles with chicken & shrimp. Oh & the hard cider was also great! We sat upstairs where it was a bit quieter. Bonus points for having a changing table in the women’s room & for being very family friendly or friendly in general! It was pretty busy for a weeknight I thought, but we got our food quickly. We’ll definitely be back to try more items, and more desserts!

We have been here a few times and have liked the food every time. We have liked the Steamed Halibut, Yum Moon Sen Salad and the Steamed Pork Bun a lot. I like the symbol that they draw on the pork bun also, gives it a very authentic kinda feeling. For the sweets our favorite are the Sesame balls. They never fail and if we are lucky and get some warm ones the. It is even better. Sometimes there is a line to order but it is definitely a place worth trying.

I had my first(and only, to date) visit to Jade Bistro while visiting a friend in Portland in January — I wasn’t excited by the idea because I’m accustomed to so much mediocre Chinese food that we have here in the Bay Area. Entering Jade Bistro, I was a bit confused by what to expect: you order and pay at the counter, take a number to your table — and — they serve beer? Is this Chinese food? Thai? Vietnamese? What’s up with the pastry counter full of macaroons? It was brightly and warmly lit — and bustling — with music playing overhead. It wasn’t fast food but it definitely wasn’t the average Chinese restaurant experience! Lots of specials, and everything noted for vegan/vegetarian/gluten-free(since this IS Portland, afterall!). I ended up getting a curry — red curry, spicy — and was surprised when it showed up looking more like a soup, a bit thinner and less like curries I get at Thai places in the Bay Area. The proof is in the pudding — and — I was AMAZED at the complexity of flavor in this dish! I want to go back! My friend was also very happy with her order — and I look forward to visiting her so I can treat next time we visit Jade Bistro(btw, good beer selections, too!) — looking forward to updating my review and adding a star!

This place makes the best udon noodle soup(khao piak sen) in town that you can order! I say this because I’ve only had better when my friend’s mom makes it. The noodles are freshly made and has a tapioca type texture… it may sound unusual, but don’t judge it until you try it. I normally get it with just chicken. If you are really hungry, add a banh mi or hum bao with your order. The majority of the food here is pretty good. The place is always pack, but service is quick allowing for a quick turn around time.

This place serves up some delicious Vietnamese food(cater more to non-Asians). The portion are very generous. We always order there fried egg rolls(huge portion), BBQ Pork Hum Bao, and their glass noodle with beef is also tasty. My son got the Phở here a couple of times, not bad but not WOW either, what I can say is the soup is not as oily as other phở restaurants. They also have variety of pastries in the front.

Darn! I had such high hopes for this place. The food looks amazing. The line indicates they have it together, but then it disappointed. I had the Coconut Rice Noodle Soup. Sadly it came out cold. Bummer! My daughter had the Beef Noodle Phở. We eat a lot of Phở and she said it was just«alright». I will say, the meat in the phở was high quality. That was a plus. Portion size is huge! Atmosphere is good. Strawberry Lemonade is great and strawberry-y. They were out of spoons. What??? We are having soup and you don’t have spoons? I just laughed. Pretty silly. Also got a Sesame Ball with Caramel Sauce. That was tasty, but not earth moving. All in all, just an okay experience. The staff was friendly, but likely overwhelmed, hence the weird food and utensil experience. I won’t be back.

I crave this place on a regular basis. I always get the coconut shredded chicken soup, salad rolls and sesame balls and/or a coconut key lime tart. More often than not, I get the desserts to go and savor them in the comfort of my home. I absolutely love this place. Everything I have tried has been fab, but really that soup kills me with its deliciousness. Perfect balance of spice and sweet of the coconut. Lots of noodles and chicken– you can split it and take some home. Yummy all around

I have eaten here twice, on two separate visits to my daughter and her family, including most recently her wedding. Her 12-year old daughter(from prior to) is a big fan so that’s possibly why we go, but I like it too. They have excellent patisseries judging from the look. I adore pistachio meringues so much I have got those both times so can only directly attest that they are great. Warning though — best to go at off-times as I understand it’s beyond capacity at the peak times. And it’s order at the counter then sit, and there can be lines.

I’ll never forget the sesame balls and pork buns here… And that 99% of the menu is gluten free. Did I mention you can also request the food be cooked in coconut oil? Friendly staff, cute neighborhood, reasonably priced, and just good food for the soul. I love this place. An additional favorite: papaya salad. Enjoy!

I really, really enjoy and appreciate Jade Bistro. Having gluten free options marked on your menu makes sense, and as someone with Celiac’s Disease I personally wish more restaurants that serve Thai, Vietnemese, Chinese, Japanese etc would start doing so. Jade rocks, because their menu not only has gluten free items marked, but vegetarian and vegan options as well. Their food is quite good, from what I have tried. Their yellow curry is delicious! I had it with chicken and was very pleased with the flavor. I also have had the garlic lemongrass chicken, which I was slightly less impressed with simply because it was sweeter than I prefer my entrees. If you dont mind a sweet main course, then it is a very delicious dish. I really, really love their appetizers. Their fried pork spring rolls are gluten free, off the chain, AND boast a good portion size. The banh bot loc absolutely blows me away. I am addicted. So chewy but in the best possible way, and the flavor is phenomenal. I am almost drooling thinking about them right now. One thing I am sad not to see on their menu is tom yum gai(soup)! I bet theirs would be tasty. Jade is always busy. The counter is always bustling and there usually a line, but the staff is friendly and the wait is always worth it. It is an order at the counter bus your own table kind of place, but that seems very pooular in Portland, and I personally dont mind it if the food is on point! If you are like me and have a gluten allergy, you are probably missing good Asian food, so go here. It goes beyond scratching the itch. You will become addicted, and your addiction will be bautiful. If you are a vegan, check this place out. If you have no food allergies, why havent you been here yet?! Go! Stuff your face and fall in love.

The coconut chicken noodle soup tasted like home cooked chicken soup with Vietnamese essence. Delicious. A little more spendy then I would like but the dining experience was pleasant enough to justify. My bf didn’t enjoy his curry too much. The chocolate chip cookie was great! We came on a Friday evening and most of the pastries were gone :-(I was hoping to have the sesame ball. We might try this place again, but Portland has so many close by options.

I know there’s a lot of Thai food in the Sellwood area, and most of them are great. But this place has always blown me out of the water. I crave their fresh rolls and their curries are spicy without being overwhelming. In the summer the outdoor patio is great, and the convenient area means parking is usually easy to find. In the winter the place is just as busy and they open the upstairs area. The food gets brought to your table and if you need more just go right up to the«take-out» side and get another glass of wine or whatever else your heart desires! The dessert case is always beautiful and the macaroons are always fresh and vibrant colors, great gifts!(If you don’t eat them first!)

I stayed in portland for 5 days, and this was probably my FAVORITE meal out of all the food I plowed through during my stay. I didn’t expect much ordering the veggie udon, but OMG it was so flavorful and amazing. The noodles are home made and also have tapioca as an ingredient. This makes for a very special and magical noodle texture. The soup base was extremely tasty for a vegan broth, or any broth for that matter. The ingredients of the soup overall were kept simple and minimal and as a result I felt this made the dish’s superior flavors and textures shine through the meal. SOGOOD. JUSTORDERSOMESOUPHERE. Bf ordered the fresh flat rice noodles. They were also handmade, but his dish wasn’t as mouth watering as mine. But still really good! We started the meal with the sesame balls. Super hot and fresh and amazing. They were filled with some kind of coconut concoction and were drizzled with some sweet honey colored sauce as well. I’ve only had the Chinese varietal with a red bean filling however, these were super good as well. If I ever come back to PDX I definitely will come back here to inhale more noodle goodness.

I’d rate this place a 3.45 This place gets busy and turn around time is a little on the slow side. Food is well executed but doesn’t offer me enough in unique flavor to get my to come back. The desserts run sweet and the pricing is a bit high in my opinion. Ok for a visit or two.

Excellent sweet and sour eggplant. Nothing like the greasy goopy corn starch drenched stuff you get at most restaurants. The version they have here is served in a very thin sauce, more like a soup, with large fragrant pieces of basil and fried shallots on top. The eggplant is skinned and served in large, silky segments. I got it with shrimp, and the shrimp was tender and perfectly cooked. Ordered it with steamed vegetables(mix of cauliflower, cabbage, carrots, and broccoli) instead of rice, a nice low carb option. The other dishes we ordered were the steamed salmon with coconut milk, the stir fried fresh wide noodles with tofu, and the sizzling seafood. I tried a bit of the salmon, which was tender and aromatic. I didn’t try the noodles or seafood, but the rest of the table enjoyed them very much. On my way out I got one of the little coconut lime tarts. It was amazing. The shell is like a coconut macaroon cookie, while the filling is a smooth creamy lime curd. A perfect balance of tart and sweet. Loved it!

The BBQ pork baguette sandwich was so incredibly delicious! The baguette was fresh and warm with a slightly firm crust and soft interior. And don’t get me started on the homemade aioli — it was one of the best things I’ve ever tasted and complimented the baguette so well! I’m torn between trying something else from their menu next time I go or getting the BBQ pork baguette again and again and again. If you’re leaning towards getting a sandwich, you must try one of their baguette varieties. And for only $ 7 you can’t go wrong, it’s worth every penny. I also got an order of the shrimp salad rolls because I’m a sucker for any sort of fresh spring/salad roll at places that sell them. The rolls themselves were great but what really sealed the deal for me was the peanut sauce. It was the best. End of story. Jade is such a great place to eat at. With affordable prices and EXTREMELY good tasting food, it’s a must try. You won’t be disappointed.

I would have given this place 5 stars but they made my husband sick. He’s allergic to MSG, and I had called before eating there to make sure that it would be okay for him. The woman who answered the phone said they absolutely do not use MSG in anything, even in sauces they buy elsewhere. The next day he woke up to a migraine with vomiting which is exactly the reaction he has to MSG. In fact, nothing else gives him that reaction. While I wouldn’t eat there with him again, I would go back with others who don’t have an allergy. This happens more often than you might think — MSG allergies seem looked at akin to how gluten allergies were looked at not too long ago. Most people seem to think that he really just prefers not to eat it even if we describe his reaction to it. SMH what can you do? The food was really good and the service(aside from not actually checking about the MSG) was pleasant. The place was clean and seemed like a good place to bring kiddos. Three stars is generous considering my husband got so sick, really. If that hadn’t have happened I would be going there on a regular basis.

5 stars: The BBQ Pork Bao was so tasty, I love how spongy and fluffy the bread was and the meat wasn’t a gelatinous sugar goop but instead a well-balanced, chunky pork mix. The Bao alone was worth the trouble of standing in line for so long — it came out quickly and did not disappoint. 4 stars: Coconut Rice Noodle Soup — it was indeed delicious and chock full of noodles, chicken and little bite sized shrimps. It was outright a beautiful bright orange color! I’ll agree with reviews, it mostly has a coconut flavor with a hint of curry and not much else — but the flavor itself is good. I would prefer if it had a little heat — once I added the chili/pepper flake oil and sambaal to the soup, it was outright DELICIOUS. So perhaps it’s a personal preference? I have plenty of leftovers to eat tomorrow, I’m hoping it’s just as good the second time around. Like people have mentioned, they give you an awesome amount of bean sprout, cabbage and carrot on the side phở-style(gimme more cilantro though, please?!) ‘Drunken Chicken’ Bánh mì — it is not the best in Portland. I repeat, their Bánh mì is not the best in Portland. But then again, they don’t call it a Bánh mì. It wasn’t traditional, as it was lacking in the spice of jalapenos(apparently they’re not incredibly embracing spice at this restaurant?) and the vegetables aren’t julienne/sliced/diced but instead long strips. It had a good flavor overall, but Dolicious food cart on NE50th wins in the tastiest Vietnamese sandwich department. RANTWARNING: I really want to vent here. I HATED, absolutely HATED the set-up of this restaurant and found myself incredibly frustrated halfway through receiving our entrees. It’s a Friday night and this place is a popular joint in Sellwood, I get that it’s slightly cold outside, but… we had people standing right against our little table as we ate our dinner and a constant stream of people walking along the other side of our table as they edged their way to the end of the line to order. I saw a woman’s sweater LITERALLYDRAG through someone’s plate of food as she scooched her way through the dining room to the order line. I repeat, her sweater dragged through someone’s meal and brushed their food all over their table. I was mortified, as was the diners who’s plate was violated. There needs to be a separation of ordering customers and the dining room. I felt like I was in a food court for dinner rather than a restaurant. It’s not fine dining, but I shouldn’t have the line for Space Mountain snaking around my dining table either. Luc Lac downtown does the same order then sit system as Jade — make your customers stay in the front of the restaurant, make a designated ‘waiting area’ or force people to stand outside. When/if I make the jaunt back down to Sellwood to eat at Jade again, I will make sure it’s *not* for dinner … especially on a weekend night. /rantover

We ordered a lemongrass tofu salad roll, a meatball hum bao, veggie hum bao, a drunken chicken banh mi and a tofu banh mi. The spring roll was decent. The pros being it was wrapped tightly enough to hold most of its content even after being bitten into, the peanut sauce was fantastic, and it did not have any mint leaves which are generally in traditional rolls(I suppose this might be a con depending on your taste). The con was that the roll was packed with too much carrot making it tough to chew through. The banh mi sandwiches were on point. The combination of the fresh, crunchy baguette and the creamy mayo with the slight sweet and sourness of the pickled daikon and carrots made for the banh mi party of my dreams in my mouth despite the plain fried tofu in my banh mi. The drunken chicken juicy and slightly sweet and even more delicious the tofu Sammie. The sandwiches are quite large and stay together when being eaten. the only downside of the banh mi was that the baguette is sharp and it does not have jalapeños. The hum bao were fantastic as well. Both the veggie and the meatball were ginormous with beautiful red designs on top. The veggie was packed with shredded vegetables and not too much bready outside. It is a struggle to find vegetarian bao in the PNW, and this place delivers. The meatball bao was decent: the meatball was wrapped around a hard boiled egg it tasted fresh but a little dry. Next time I’ll get bbq pork bao. We arrived a 5:30 on a Saturday and the line was out the door, however the line goes fairly fast and we only waited 20 minutes to order then another 10 to get all our food. The outdoor seating was completely full and the indoor seating filled up fast and got pretty loud. All in all it was totally worth dealing with for the delicious food we got. We will be going back very soon!

I had bookmarked this place when I first moved to PDX(aka 3 months ago) but never had time to come in… until Wednesday night! I had suggested this place to my girlfriend because we’re all about trying new restaurants and she loves Vietnamese /Asian food. There was a little bit of a wait to order and the bottom level of the restaurant was packed but do not despair because there was ample seating upstairs! The lady at the counter was incredibly friendly and helpful when I asked what she would recommend. I opted for the curry noodles(as per her suggestion and the one I had wanted), my girl got the vegetarian phở, spring rolls, and a coconut lemon custard tart. So, the food was okay. My noodles were amazing and I loved every bite of it, there was some great flavor combinations happening in my mouth. The soup was creamy, warm, sweet… all that and more from a coconut curry. My girlfriend thought it was too sweet, her phở was okay, the spring rolls weren’t incredibly impressive who puts bell pepper in a spring roll?(granted I grew up spoiled by a mother who makes the best spring rolls), and the tart was so sweet for me I only ate half of it… the coconut crust just tasted like raw coconuts shavings. The interior is where this place sways me, it was cute and a great date spot.

Good food good food! Jade is located at very convenient location and the opening hour is cool too. Your order first, grap utensils, get the table and enjoy the food. That’s how it works here. We ordered salad rolls which were interesting. The rolls contained the big piece of cucumbers and bell peppers. I think it’s creative. Cons: the rice paper wrap is very chewy and I couldn’t eat the wrapper. The yellow curry was extremely good and flavorful. Makesure you get it with chicken thighs. however, it was too rich of coconut milk. I am so excited to be back to try other stuff.

A nice looking eatery, casual, but clean! Plus, did you see the giant bird carving on top of the entrance inside?! Brownie points for that. The system is interesting. You order at the register before you pick a place to sit down. If you want water, you get it yourself from a nearby dispenser. They bring your food to you based on the number you got at the register when you ordered. I got the Fresh Wide Rice Noodles and the dish came out looking less than desirable. The noodles weren’t even noodles! They had disintegrated into little dough chunks! The taste of the dish wasn’t bad, albeit on the salty side and I wish I had more vegetables. The thing was, someone else in my party had ordered the same dish, yet she had gotten a bigger portion and more veggies! If two people order the same dish, they should both get the same dish. So, I can’t exactly recommend the«noodles» I got, but what I can recommend is their Mango Sticky Rice dessert!!! This place definitely redeems itself with this dessert. The rice is the right consistency, the mango fresh, and the coconut properly toasted. All drizzled with condensed milk… careful, it’s dangerous. Overall, our party enjoyed what they ordered, but felt as though their dishes could’ve been better somehow. Not jonesing to come back, but there were a variety of dishes on the menu… and they are reasonably priced and reasonably close by… we’ll see.

This is my favorite restaurant in Portland! The staff is so friendly! I have been coming here for years. They are so inventive but not overly trying to be cool with their dishes and everything is bursting with flavor. You will never get something bad. Some of my favorites are the drunken chicken sandwich, the catfish, wide rice noodles and the salad rolls. You must, must, must try at least 3 different macaroon flavors!

I am new to Sellwood and everyone suggested I try Jade. There was quite a wait, but I stuck it out and ordered chili noodles. The cashier was friendly. I wasn’t a fan of the cafeteria-like order, take a number, and wait system. The wait wasn’t too long once I ordered, but the wait to order coupled with the wait for food seemed excessive. When my food arrived I was excited; it looked yum. Unfortunately the noodles were greasy. Incredibly greasy. It masks the flavors to the point I spent more time wiping my hands than enjoying my food. Nobody ever came by the table for a check in. I went back a couple of weeks later and ordered Mango Chicken. I specifically requested light oil. No dice, though. The chicken was horribly greasy. I took it back to the counter and the staff were great in getting me Phở as a replacement. The Phở was lukewarm… and, again, greasy. Clearly this place has fans – the line alone will tell you that. I’m not one of them. The food was just reliably too greasy to be enjoyed. I won’t return. Silver lining? The sesame balls and macaroons are delicious. If you go to Jade, go for these!

Decided to try Jade for dinner this evening and I can’t say I agree with majority of the reviews. The raves of this establish didn’t do much justice for me. We shared the following dishes: –Fried catfish(sits on a coconut sauce with spinach) and served with 1 small bowl of white rice –Crab & Shrimp fried rice(pretty presentation but lacking flavor) –Truffle fries(nothing special) –Wide rice noodles w/chicken(rather small portion) –Coconut rice w/mango(too sweet) The dishes we’re decent(some too sweet/salty). There’s nothing fancy on the table arrangements but the staff was super friendly. For those of you who’s never tried beware of how the restaurant runs(order food, grab a seat, grab your own utensils) and leave the dishes on the table when your done. The food came out rather slow and the hallway near the restrooms was oddly strange. There was a weird rumbly noise that bothered me. It felt like a mini earthquake. Maybe it’s just me but I definitely could feel the rumble. Needless to say, I have no reason to return to this establishment.

The focus is on Thai and Vietnamese. Everything was very well cooked and super tasty. The dishes were on the sweet side but it worked well. I wasn’t impressed the first time we came here but this time I accepted it for what it is(nice, clean, modern SE Asian restaurant in Sellwood), I was very happy with my meal. chili noodles: recommended by the cashier and my partner thinks it’s their version of pad kee mao. Fat rice noodles pan fried with chicken, shrimp in a light sweet, savory, lightly spicy sauce. The spice level was barely noticeable. I like spicy food but I know plenty of people who are more sensitive than me. I’m on a constant search for pad kee mao that makes me as happy as the one in Berkeley and this is the closest I’ve ever found. basil eggplant with chicken: the sauce was more like sweet savory broth with hints of basil. It was really delicious. tapioca dumplings with pork served with fish sauce: I will order any app that has dipping fish sauce. I’m also a little obsessed with fish sauce… The dumplings themselves were ok. The wrapping was thick and dense making me instantly full. I’ve had this in other places, the flavor is about the same but the wrapper isn’t typically so thick. coconut key lime tart: super sweet key lime custard with shredded coconut crust. It was delightful with coffee. They have a beautiful pastry display with macaroons, cookies, cupcakes, sesame balls and a couple other treats(tarts, banana tapioca cake thing) This place is good for groups of about 4. There’s an upstairs that isn’t obvious when entering. If it looks crowded and you can’t find a table downstairs, you’ll probably be able to get one upstairs.

Jade is my favorite restaurant in Portland and this review is long overdue. Everything I have ever ordered here has been delicious. This creates a dilemma, as I’m constantly struggling between ordering my favorites and trying something new. My personal Jade staples are: Chicken and Shrimp Salad Rolls Coconut Rice Noodle Soup Fresh Wide Rice Noodles Tom’s Stir-Fried Glass Noodles Steamed Salmon Wrapped in Banana Leaf Sesame Balls with Dipping Sauce They often have a line out the door since they’re so delicious, but it goes quickly, and the food is delivered fast as well. Calling in takeout can be advantageous too. There is a separate line to the right of the front register where takeout can be paid for a picked up. Can’t lie… orders have been mixed up here and sometimes I’ve experiences iffy service, but the perfectly balanced flavors in all their dishes make up for these faults. Plus, they are improving in both of these areas. Whenever I try a new restaurant and the food turns out to be sub par and overprices I always think of how many wonderful dishes I could have had at Jade for the dollars and dollars I spent somewhere else. I used to live in Sellwood and eat here a couple times a week, but now I drive across town to eat at Jade.
