History

Established in 2000.

1999: Graduated from East West College of the Healing Arts.

2000 — 2002: Gained valuable therapeutic massage experience working at chiropractic clinics while starting my own private practice part-time. Much of my work during this time focused on the treatment of chronic pain and injuries.

2003 — Present: Transitioned to my own practice full-time. During these years, my business grew from a small solo practice to a larger multiple therapist massage studio which quickly became one of the top massage studios in Portland. Currently, I have transitioned back to a solo private practice with offices in NW and NE Portland.

Meet the Business Owner

Jennifer B.

Business Owner

I received my BS in Biology in 1995 with plans to attend medical school shortly after, however, I decided pursue a different path and enrolled in a massage therapy program instead. I found that massage was a perfect fit for my strong interest in anatomy, physiology, and the energetic systems of the body.

My style of massage is therapeutic yet nurturing and always involves a thorough understanding of anatomy accompanied by an intuitive touch. It is integrative, blending several different modalities such as Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point, and myofascial release to address your body’s unique needs. In addition, I have studied more subtle techniques such as craniosacral therapy, Usui Reiki, and oncology massage, which balance the deeper work that I do. I am also certified in pregnancy and postpartum massage. I believe that touch is a powerful tool that not only addresses the physical discomforts we carry in our bodies but also has the ability to heal on deeper levels as well.
